Bright red curtain: stylish and elegant

The color red is a powerful symbol of energy. It is not without reason that it is the most active color, and can also affect people’s health. If a person spends a long time in a room where red furniture predominates, he may become, for example, more hot-tempered. However, for some people this color can inspire and encourage action. In any case, using the smallest amount of red will help make the interior sophisticated: a red curtain will become the highlight of the room.

Exquisite red curtains

Red is a multifunctional color, it belongs to the three primary colors (red, yellow, blue). It can make your home comfortable and liven it up. However, you should choose different curtains for different rooms and you should not forget about different color schemes.

In the living room, red curtains will help create a festive atmosphere, but they are only suitable for spacious rooms.

In the bedroom it is recommended not to use curtains in bright shades of red, but light shades are a great solution. Red curtains also look interesting in the kitchen. Thanks to them, appetite is stimulated, but there is a possibility of feeling stuffy.

Red curtains combined

Such combinations of red curtains with other interior items are considered the most acceptable:

  • The combination of red and white, which is called ideal, but white tones should predominate;
  • A combination of red and black, and you can add white or gold accessories;
  • A combination of red and yellow to evoke high spirits, but it is recommended to add white, black and beige;
  • A combination of red and green, adding accessories in black or gray.

In order not to make red curtains a random interior detail, designers advise using several items of the same shade. They can be, for example, pillows.

Are red curtains appropriate in a red kitchen?

Designers recommend not using red if the furniture and walls are already bright red, as too much red can cause aggression and imbalance. It is recommended to purchase curtains in pastel colors.

However, hanging red curtains in a red kitchen is not prohibited. The choice of curtain shade depends on the shade of the kitchen unit and walls. If the furniture in the kitchen is of a calm shade, you can safely choose red curtains, but in a more saturated shade.

It would be a good idea to balance the colors by choosing pillows in the same burgundy color as the curtains.

In addition, it is advisable to use burgundy curtains in rooms with a lot of free space. Furniture and walls in light or pastel colors will be an excellent complement to burgundy curtains and will create a feeling of coziness. Burgundy curtains harmonize perfectly with walls in cream, milky, beige or olive colors. It is best to choose such curtains if you want to create a room in Baroque, Rococo, Art Nouveau, classical or oriental style.

The combination of brown and burgundy colors is an excellent option for the interior of a workplace to be able to concentrate on work. Together, the combination of burgundy and gold colors also gives a good result and gives the room even more royal luxury. In addition, this color goes well with green and blue. In the bedroom, burgundy curtains will help create a romantic atmosphere, especially in combination with white tulle.

Gray-red curtains - an original solution

A room with gray-red curtains will look modern. Almost all colors harmonize with gray. Therefore, any shade of curtains, for example, in combination with a gray pattern will look very noble, since the gray color refreshes the red and makes it brighter.
