DIY organza ball for the Christmas tree

If you take shreds of unnecessary, but beautiful fabric, you can make an original Christmas tree toy. Suitable as a bright or shiny fabric, and transparent, iridescent. An organza ball looks airy, but at the same time it is voluminous and sparkles beautifully in electric light. Such an ornament will not overload the branch, which means that it can be hung even on the very edge.

If you make a dozen of these balls of different sizes, they can be hung throughout the room.

Materials:

  • organza;
  • threads in tone;
  • scissors
  • saucer.

Manufacturing technique

1. On a piece of suitable size, draw a circle. To make it even, use a saucer. Cut out.

2. You need a lot of such circles of fabric. In order not to cut each separately, you can fold the pieces of fabric all together.

3. Pin the first round blank to them with tailor's pins. Now we cut off all the excess with scissors.

4. It turned out several circles of fabric of the same size.

5. We fold each in half.

6. We bend the even edge to the middle of the semicircle.

7. On the other hand, we do the same.

8. We fix the workpiece in the corner with a pin so that it does not unbend.

9. We make at least eight such petals. But the more there are, the denser the ball will come out.

10. We sew the corner of each workpiece with a thread.
