Do-it-yourself swans from plastic bottles instruction. Lake with swans and a palm tree made from plastic bottles

Content

Making a swan from plastic bottles is a painstaking job. But, after completion, you put it in a conspicuous place and it will look very beautiful and natural. Manufacturing takes about 30 hours, but if you have someone to help you, you will be done in half the time. Basically, you need waste material to work.

Making a case for a swan from bottles

The body will be based on an old car tire with a diameter of 50 - 55 centimeters.

Do not injure yourself while handling the tire, steel bars may protrude from the tire.

After selecting the appropriate tire, cut it in half, then cut 10 centimeters off one side of the tire. Twist both halves of the tire to form an egg shape and 45 centimeters in diameter. Our corps is ready and waiting for all other parts.

Swan head

To make a head, you will need styrofoam, putty, and paint. First, we take a large piece of foam, measuring 20x12x10. From it we will cut out the very head and beak. We process the finished parts with sandpaper until all roughness and irregularities disappear. On the back of the head, we make a small hole 5 centimeters deep for attaching the neck. After completing work with sandpaper, take the putty and apply it evenly over the entire head. After the putty has dried, we bring the surface to a perfect one with finer sandpaper. After that we start painting. We need paint in three colors: white, blue and black. We cover the corresponding parts of the head with paint, leave to dry. Our head is ready. The head is the most difficult to make of all the details, but with a desire and a little skill, this is not a problem.

Neck

To make the neck, we need a rod and corrugation. The corrugation can be taken from an old unnecessary vacuum cleaner or, if one is not available, bought at a store. Length 70 - 80 centimeters. Since we will paint the corrugation in White color, it must first be cleaned. As for the rod, we do not recommend taking a steel rod - it is very difficult to bend it and it can burst. The length of the rod is 2 meters. On one side of the corrugation, we make cuts, the head will join these cuts. Using self-tapping screws, we attach the corrugation to the body and head, thereby covering the rod.

The next stage is the wings and tail of a swan from plastic bottles

To make the wings, you will need 35 - 40 white plastic bottles, a net for construction works and tools. It is advisable to paint the mesh white so that it does not rust. Tools: pliers, wire cutters, screwdriver, copper wire, knife. You can buy plastic bottles at shops that sell packaging containers. One bottle will produce 4 - 6 feathers. Cut the bottle into pieces and form a feather. On one side of the pen we make four holes into which the wire is inserted.

It is better to take copper wire, as it will be easy to bend.

You can buy construction mesh at a garden supply store. We carefully wire the feathers, overlaying one feather on top of the other so as to hide the joints. One wing takes about 2-3 hours of time.

Tail

To make the tail of the swan, you will need the same mesh that we used to make the wings. The manufacturing time will take up to one hour. You need a 45 x 20 mesh with pointed tips. The process of making the tail is no different from making the wings: we take feathers pre-cut from plastic bottles and fasten them to the net.

When you close the feathers, they will not give in well and stick out in different directions. Try to align them to one side.

Connecting and installing the finished swan

After all the details are ready, you can work on the connection. To get started, choose a place where you will put the swan and install a board, bricks or an old car tire, on which it will then be installed. Connect the body to the neck with self-tapping screws. Bend one end of the rod so that it can be anchored in the ground. Next, attach the wings and tail, connect the wings in front with a wire, and in the back with a twig. Then secure the tail. And finally, screw the head with screws to the corrugation.

Use plastic bottles to make graceful swans floating on a scenic lake. Its surface reflects a palm tree, also made by hand.

The content of the article:

It is not difficult to make a summer cottage extraordinarily attractive. To do this, you do not have to spend a lot of money, it is enough to put empty plastic bottles in bags, and then select ideas from the proposed ones and bring them to life. Such work is inspiring, allows you to make the site well-groomed. Neighbors and guests will certainly pay attention to him, and the owners themselves are pleased to be in such an environment. Start your makeover with some simple work to create a fabulous corner of your backyard.

Lake or pond for bottle cottages

To make the reservoir itself, special skills are not required, depending on its size, you will need 30–250 bottles. First, outline the place of the future fairy pond with a shovel. Select the sod within its outlines. It can be piled up, covered with a dark film, periodically sprinkled with water and kitchen waste, and you will have excellent compost next year.

If you are using a non-virgin plot of land, then simply loosen it with a shovel and, starting from the middle to the edges, lay the workpieces. To make them, cut the neck to the shoulders of the plastic bottles, now press the blanks upside down into the ground so that the container looks out 8 cm above the soil surface.You can use the lower halves of the bottles left over from creating other things for this type of site design. The main thing is that they are no shorter than 10 cm.

If you are using only the bottom of the plastic bottles, then fill it with soil, turn it upside down so that the blanks rise above the ground. Place containers close to each other to minimize gaps.

After completing several rows of inverted plastic bottles, paint them blue. It is better to do this right away, since if the lake is large, it is difficult to get into its center. If you do not have numerous containers available, make the lake gradually. The edging can be decorated with large stones. For a scenic pond, plant a few plants around the edges.

Decorate the lake with water lilies. How to make such crafts with your own hands was described in one of the previous articles, and from this one you will learn how to make a swan from improvised material. Such a bird looks great not only near the lake, but also in any other corner of the garden.

For this type of creativity, you need a car tire. Paint it white, attach a strong wire to the outside with iron staples. It should wrap around the bottom of the tire, then bring it up and bend it in the shape of a swan's neck.

Now slide a plastic water hose over the wire, if you don't have one, a piece of watering rubber will do. Slightly cut its upper part on both sides, put the bird's head here. To craft it, cut the soft bottle below the shoulders, making a curly cut. Put the blank on the wire, make a beak from a small ketchup bottle. If you don't have one, then cut a triangle out of plastic, glue its two opposite sides. Place the beak in place and paint over it with red paint. You can make a head from synthetic foam, and take a hose from an old vacuum cleaner for the neck.

Paint the head and neck white, and black mark the junction of the beak and face so that the supra-forehead and eyes of the bird are clearly visible.

If you have extra time, then modify the tire a little before doing the swan. As you can see in the photo, on one side there are small cuts on it, on the other - solid, it is made so that the tail remains. The place of the cut is fastened with a bolt and a screw.

Bird with fluffy feathers from plastic bottles

Do-it-yourself swans are graceful if they are beautifully feathered. To do this, you will need white plastic milk bottles.

In the next photo you can see how to make the wings. To do this, cut out their base from a metal mesh in the form of a triangle with beveled corners. For feathering, use white plastic milk bottles. Cut off the neck and bottom of each. Divide the resulting canvas into 6 parts, also round off each of them with scissors. These are feathers. Use an awl and thin wire to attach them. Puncture the blanks and tie them to the mesh.

Cover it with feathers on both sides. Attach the 2 fenders to the tire using self-tapping screws. You can do it differently by pulling the wings together with a wire through the tire.

How are graceful birds made from plastic bottles?

Another Graceful Swan can be crafted with the following materials. To work you will need:

  • large plastic bottle of rectangular shape;
  • putty;
  • thick wire;
  • bandage;
  • sand.
Lay the plastic bottle horizontally, cut off the wide side. Make a hole in the lid with a soldering iron, insert the edge of the curved wire, as shown in the photo. Sand is poured into the bottle so that the do-it-yourself swans are stable.

Now grease the entire outside of the canister with a thick putty. Take a bandage, starting to wrap the wire with it from the bottom up, also generously coat it with this solution. As a result, you get the neck of a graceful bird. Where the head will be, the bandage will need to be wound even more, sandwich it with putty. Decorate this part of the blank.

Let's get down to the wings. As in the first case, they will need a coarse-mesh iron mesh. To attach it, first cover the bird's body with a primer, let it dry, then attach the mesh and secure it to the sides of the swan with putty.

You can leave the wings as they are, or decorate them on the outside with feathers from plastic milk bottles, and hide the mesh on the back under a layer of putty.

You just need to let the product dry, then paint the eyes and beak of the bird in the desired colors. If you want to use a swan as an original flowerpot for a summer residence, then fill the canister with sand only a quarter, and pour fertile soil on top and plant your favorite flower. Or craft a second bird. As a result, you will get such beautiful do-it-yourself swans.

How to quickly make snow-white birds out of bottles?

If you have a little empty container, and you want to quickly decorate your site, then read how to make a swan quickly and from a small amount of materials. Also, he can not only decorate country cottage area, but also to become a beautiful and original flower bed. For this, transparent containers are quite suitable; they need to cut off the necks along the top of the shoulders.

Draw the shape of the future flower garden on the ground. Fill bottles with sand or unnecessary soil such as clay and paint them white. When the paint is dry, dig the bottles about a quarter into the ground according to the marked markings, turning them upside down. To keep them well, fasten them in a circle with 2-3 layers of wide tape. It also needs to be covered with white paint.

The swan's head and neck are made of plywood. First draw this part of the bird on the blank, and then cut it out. As shown in the photo, paint this part with the appropriate paints. Pour fertile soil into the flower bed, plant flowers and you can admire the original creation.

Plastic swans can be made without much hassle. To make the following, you only need:
  • 5 liter canister;
  • milk bottles;
  • scissors;
  • glue;
  • paints;
  • wire.

Put the canister horizontally on the large part, cut off the upper side from it, pour on a third of the wet sand. Insert a wire into the hole in the cork made with a soldering iron, bend it in the form of a bird's neck and head.

Cut one off the milk bottle. Cut it from bottom to shoulder into 6 pieces, round off the resulting feathers with scissors. Decorate the entire container in this way, and then put the blanks on the bird's neck in turn. Insert its beak into the neck of the last upper one. You can also make it from plastic or polymer clay.

Now you need a few more milk bottles. Cut 4 feathers out of each, stick them on the canister, starting from the bottom, so that the rounded part of the feathers looks up and slightly to the side. After the glue is dry, place the flower pot in the canister. The master class uploads a story about how to make graceful swans from plastic bottles.

We decorate a summer pond-lake with plastic bottles

If we imagine that a lake with swans swimming in it is located on an island, then why not place a palm tree on its shore? It is also made from plastic bottles. It is very interesting to make such products with your own hands. If you do this with your children, they, too, will certainly grow up to be creative people, capable of looking at any materials and finding craft ideas.

For a palm tree you will need:

  • metal fittings of the required length;
  • brown and green plastic bottles;
  • scissors;
  • candle or lighter.
A palm tree from plastic bottles is made in several ways. Check out one of them first. For such a craft, you need to take bottles of the same volume. This can be a container from 1 to 2.5 liters. If the tree is short, small plastic bottles will work. For a larger one, take a container of a larger volume.

First, the labels are torn off. If they are glued too well, then place them for 40 minutes in hot water, then remove, sometimes helping yourself with a knife.

Now cut off the bottom of the bottles, make the place of the cut in a zigzag manner, slightly bend the resulting large notches outward. Stick the fittings in the intended place so that they hold tightly, start stringing the bottles with the neck down.

Such a technology of creation is suitable if you have little of the necessary containers. If there is more of it, then use only the bottom of the bottle. Drill each hole with a drill, and then string onto a metal rod as shown in the photo. And in the next photo you can see how you can make a trunk for a palm tree if you have an unnecessary log and bottoms from brown bottles. They are nailed or attached with self-tapping screws to a wooden base, but the bottom is left free so that the tree can be dug into the ground.

How to make palm leaves from bottles?

When you finish the trunk of a southern tree, proceed to its leaves. For them, you will need a green plastic container. A workshop on making bottle palms will describe this process in detail.

There are also many options for obtaining this part of a tropical tree. If you liked the idea with a wooden base, then you can make leaves. in a simple way... This requires large plastic bottles with a pre-cut bottom. Cut them from the bottom to the shoulders, not reaching the neck, into many small ribbons.

Now drive metal rods into the upper part of a wooden palm tree, bend them slightly and string them with the neck down on each bottle. What you get is also seen in the photo.

And here is another way to make leaves from plastic bottles. For this, a container of any size is suitable, you need to cut off the bottom from it and make 4 cuts on large bottles, and 3 cuts to the shoulders on small ones, round them off. These are blanks of leaves.

Now create a thin fringe around the edges of each sheet. Leave a 1–2 cm gap in the center - this is the vein of the leaf.

Put a bottle on top of the barrel Brown color without a bottom with the neck up. Make 6 holes on the cover crosswise with a soldering iron or a drill. Pass one rod or wire through the two opposite holes, one more rod through the other two, and a third wire through the third pair of holes. Now string the first blank of leaves on each rod, then the second, and so on. You should have 6 leaf pieces, each containing six bottles. For reliability, fasten them together on the covers with wire.

To prevent the bottles from jumping off the rod, just bend it on the back side. And this is what you get as a result.

If you want to visually see the process of making a palm tree, then watch the video:

It would be nice, of course, to have a beautiful lake with white and black swans on your site. On a quiet warm evening, you can turn on the lights, Tchaikovsky's music…. However, it is said that it is better to have a titmouse in your hands than a pie in the sky. This also applies to the swan, so that with a certain diligence with your own hands from plastic bottles, you can create an almost living proud bird in your garden.

All sorts of different swans from plastic bottles

Let's make a reservation that we have already touched on this topic.

In the photo below you can see how a swan-flowerpot is created from a five-liter container using plaster.

It must be admitted that there are many options for assembling a swan from plastic bottles. As soon as you get down to work, then do something in your own way, and you get another performance. Below we will look at four typical designs. There is no dispute about tastes, and you will choose what you like best. We will discuss the features of each proposal and give master classes for their manufacture.

Three options for a snow-white bird

Most of all I liked the option with the use of plywood

First of all, I would like to tell you about the most interesting. The swan figurine below is made with plywood and white plastic bottles. It is convenient to fix the plumage of a bird made of plastic on a flat sheet. Little material is required. The graceful and thin neck is well reflected by the plywood sheet. The body of the swan takes on a volumetric shape.

In general, an elegant craft is created quickly and easily. Step-by-step instruction next:

Light and airy bird using plastic wrap

A proud garden bird can be assembled from a five-liter eggplant and plastic wrap. The appearance of such a craft, of course, attracts attention.

Consider the master class step by step:

  1. Two holes are made in the bottom and cork of the container and a wire is threaded through, as seen in the image below. The wire will provide a skeleton for the neck and tail of the craft. In the bottle, you can cut a window through which you will be able to guide the wire inside the case by hand.
  2. The container is punched out in front and behind to give a smooth shape to the bird. The required shape is fixed with tape.

  3. Next, we need an isolon. If there is no ready-made strip, you can cut strips about 7 cm wide from a material with a thickness of 3-10 mm.

    The entire workpiece is wrapped with an isolon tape. The material is fixed with tape. The latter helps to smooth out the irregularities of the isolon. Several layers of isolone are required to form the bird's head.

  4. Now you need to prepare a plastic tape to simulate the plumage of a bird. For this, tape 70 mm wide is cut from a film with a thickness of 100-150 µm. The strips are cut across to a depth of 50mm in 5-10mm increments. It is convenient to fold the film in several layers to speed up the work.

  5. A prepared tape is wrapped around the tail, body and neck of the bird. Each turn of the film is fixed with narrow tape. The next layer is shifted by 20mm relative to the previous one.

  6. It is convenient to make the eyes of a bird from black buttons. They are sewn to the head in the right place.
  7. A good beak is made with a red marker. Several short longitudinal slots are made on the body of the marker to form a wide part of the beak. The marker is placed on the wire of the frame. The swan is ready!

Metal mesh and tire for large swan

You will get a large bird if you use it as supporting structure car tire and mesh. The tire can be buried halfway in the ground, or it can be cut in half. In the latter case, the craft can change its placement. You can hide it for the winter. The neck is made of wire, on which the corrugated hose is put on. The rubber of the wheel and the plastic of the hose must be primed for the paint to adhere properly.

The bird's head is made of foam. The workpiece is sanded with sandpaper, putty and painted. Better to use water-based putty and paints that won't ruin the styrofoam.

The bird's two wings are made of plastic feathers attached to a mesh frame. Feathers can be shaped as shown below. They are attached to the mesh with pieces of thin copper wire through holes in the workpieces. The fenders are attached to the tire with wire.

As you can see from the picture below, the mesh is cut out in the form of an oval with jagged edges. A galvanized welded mesh with a mesh of 20x20mm is well suited.

The front side of the wing looks pretty decent. We make two wings.

As you can see in the picture below, the fenders can be reinforced with thick wire supports at some distance from the tire. You will get a large and voluminous swan with spread wings. However, the craft does not have the best appearance from the back and you will have to find an appropriate location for it in the garden.

In this arrangement, two car tires are required. In addition to the wings, the tail must be made using the same technology.

A lot of bottles, a lot of work - and you get an almost live bird

"Delicious on the third." Finally, let's take a look at the fourth option, which looks great. However, it will take a lot of packaging and even more patience when making the craft.

Master class for making a swan from plastic bottles:

  1. We make a blank from a five-liter eggplant and wire with a diameter of 3 mm. In the bottom and cork of the bottle we pierce holes opposite each other. The container can be cut to straighten the wire from the inside.

  2. To make a bird's head, take a white bottle with a narrow neck. Cut off the bottom and cut it lengthwise in 5mm increments, as shown below.

  3. We make the beak from a red cap and a cap from construction sealant. Cut out a hole in the cork and insert the red cap into it.

  4. Draw the eyes with a black marker. A head taper will form on the narrower part of the neck detail, which is shown separately. During assembly, an elastic band for money is first put on the neck, which is then changed to fishing line. It is better to melt the edges of the fishing line with a match so that the knot does not come loose.

  5. We make the details of the neck as in the photo. They may have slightly different sizes, which is normal for different locations.

  6. The image below illustrates how the neck and head details will be set. For the final attachment of the head, a copper wire bent in half clings to the upper part of the frame wire. Then the beak is screwed together, and the copper wire is threaded through the head. A thin wire is folded over and wrapped around the bottle neck thread. The beak is wrapped again.

  7. So that the parts on the neck are evenly spaced and form a smooth bend of the neck, isolon must be wound around the wire. The latter is fixed with tape. Instead of isolon, you can use bottle caps with holes.
  8. To fasten the "fur coat" of the swan on the body of the workpiece, pull the stocking. We put an isolon on the bird's chest to organize a convex shape. Tie the stocking with twine.

    It shouldn't sag!

  9. To make the tail feathers, cut out the parts shown below. We make holes through which we sew the details to the stocking.

  10. The image below shows how to mount the tail pieces.

  11. The lower curvature of the tail covers the specially shaped element.

  12. The bird's body is sequentially sheathed with the details shown below. In places of bends, it is convenient to use separate ovals. The wings located on the sides are cut from the side with a step of 3-5mm. The accuracy of the work determines the type of future craft.

We have completed the review different options making a white swan for the garden. If you do not limit your imagination, you can build both very simple and quite complex beautiful bird crafts.

Do-it-yourself garden swans from plastic bottles will add grace and beauty to any palisade. Today there are many ways to decorate a garden, but the most unusual decorations can be made at home. Such decoration does not require large expenses, but you can use your imagination to revive the exterior. And rarely, who will refuse a small flock of beautiful swans in their own garden.

There are several ways to make such swans, they differ only appearance and the time used to create such masterpieces.

The first method just does not take much time, but the result will certainly delight the eye.

To make a swan for a garden, you will need the following materials and tools:

  • 5 liter plastic bottle;
  • milk bottles 800 ml;
  • rigid wire hose;
  • wire;
  • scissors;
  • marker;
  • candle;
  • dye.

Decorating process

A 5 liter bottle is taken. It is necessary to mark the lines with a marker along which it will need to be cut in two, the upper part is removed. Only the neck remains, which is necessary to fix the neck. The hose, which plays the role of the neck, must be threaded through the neck and secured with wire to the base. Next, you need to tackle the "feathers". Blanks are cut out of white bottles (more often they come from under milk), get rid of the neck and bottom. The cut out blanks need to be held over the candle from the outside, it is advisable to cut a small fringe on the sides of the blanks for a more realistic look. Then you need to collect 2 feathers and wire them together.

In the design of the neck, bottles with a cut-off bottom are also used, according to the number of bottles used, you can choose the length of the neck. Now it's time to start creating the beak.

In the place where the hose and the last bottle end, you need to make holes and connect everything with a wire. Close the base of the beak with a lid. The beak itself will be made from the cap most commonly used for chemical bottles. It is necessary to cut the cover in the shape of "M", then paint and install the beak. If desired, you can plant flowers for the garden in a flowerpot, and then an ordinary flower bed will become a work of art.

Unusual solution

There is 1 more way to create a swan for the garden. In this case, unusual solutions are used. So, you need the following materials:

  • tire;
  • plastic bottles (70 pieces);
  • metal grid;
  • hose;
  • wire;
  • Styrofoam.

At the beginning of work, it is necessary to cut off the inner rings from the tire, and to mark the tail, one side is cut out in a triangular shape with special tools. We cut the tire in front for convenience, the edges are bolted together. To create a neck, you need to screw the wire to the tire, and leave quite a bit of material below in order to fix the swan in the ground as a result.

The wing is assembled from feathers, made in the same way as in the first version, but this time the "fringe" is optional. All prepared feathers are screwed onto 2 mesh sections, which will be the "skeleton" of the wings.

It is necessary to fill in several rows with feathers and with inside mesh so that the frame is not visible in the finished version.

It is advisable to take a larger mesh to make the wings look more spectacular. But the head is cut out of polystyrene, the beak and eyes are painted. The head is placed on the wire base after the self-tapping hose has been used to create volume in the neck.

The body, like the head, is painted, and the wings are installed with self-tapping screws or wire, as soon as the workpiece is dry. The swan is ready to decorate the landscape.

The result is worth it

The latter option for garden decoration is more time consuming, but the result is worth the time. For a swan pots, you will need the following:

  • 5 liter plastic bottle;
  • iron rod 0.6 mm;
  • bandage;
  • starting putty;
  • small spatula;
  • brush and water container;
  • container for solution;
  • sand.

First you need to repeat the already familiar steps with a 5 liter bottle - cut off the top, but leave a neck for the neck. Pour wet sand into the bottle, round the sides. Insert a rod in the shape of a “two” into the lid.

Put 5 cm of putty on the polyethylene, place a bottle on this layer, smooth the excess putty up the base with a spatula soaked in water. Next up is the neck. Form a roller of putty and apply to the base of the rod and the lid. Smear the irregularities with a damp brush. Next, treat the entire surface of the bottle in the same way.

While the putty has not grabbed, you need to tackle the wings.

Press the mesh on both sides of the body at a slight angle. Supporting it from the inside, it is worth starting to apply putty, imitating the wings. Next, it is worth sticking around the neck in the same way and forming the head. At the end, wrap it with wet bandages. In this case, you need to fix the neck so that it does not fall under the weight.

Leave for a while and take care of the tail. A small piece of mesh is placed between the wings, pressing into the filler layer. Next, the tail is formed in the same way as the wings - a roller of putty is applied to the mesh, and layers are added, then errors are removed with a damp brush.

The next step is to apply 1 more layer of putty on the neck and head. When everything is over, you need to walk with a damp brush and finally remove any irregularities. It is required to leave the swan in the sun for 2 days for final drying. And as soon as the workpiece is ready, it is necessary to sand, paint, shape the beak, eyes and paint with varnish. And flowers should be planted in the container in the center of the figure, and the swan is ready for the garden.

There are several ways to create the most beautiful figures of swans for the garden from available tools. And which of the options to choose depends on your own imagination and desire, since there is nothing difficult in this. And let each garden find its own "swan".

Before making a swan from plastic bottles, you should prepare all the material necessary for manufacturing:

We prepare the necessary materials

  • white plastic bottles with a volume of one liter - at least 25 pieces;
  • white plastic bottle with a volume of five hundred milliliters - 1 piece;
  • a transparent plastic bottle with a volume of five liters - 1 piece;

Step-by-step instructions for making a swan

Despite the fact that a do-it-yourself swan from plastic bottles is easy enough, nevertheless, you must carefully follow the entire sequence of actions. The process of manufacturing a plastic structure takes place in several stages.

Manufacturing of blanks

All elements that are required for manufacturing must be prepared very carefully and carefully.

Preparation of liter bottles

The step is to carefully remove the caps and rings from the bottle necks and remove all stickers and labels.

Opening liter bottles

We cut the bottle along the outlined lines

For execution smooth cut it is necessary to apply a preliminary marking.

The bottom line of the marking should be one centimeter away from the uppermost corrugated part and run parallel to it around the circumference of the entire bottle. The top line should recede two centimeters down from the bottleneck and run parallel to it around the circumference of the entire bottle.

Both parallel marks are connected by a third straight line. Then the most accurate cut of the plastic is made in accordance with the markings made. The result should be three details.

Preparation of parts for the neck

To make the neck, it is necessary to cut the neck part of the blanks to the thread into six identical fragments. The taper is cut into eight pieces.

All the corners formed as a result of the cut must be rounded off, and three paired holes must be made at the base of the resulting "petals".

Preparing parts for the head

A neck with a cork should be cut off from a half-liter bottle. Further, parallel cuts are made in the cylindrical part of the bottle until the transition to the tapered part. The reference for the first cut is the casting seam, and all subsequent cuts are in increments of five millimeters.

Straighten the ends of the swan beak clothespin

In order for the beak-peg to lie as tightly and evenly as possible, it is necessary to slightly melt its ends and pierce it through a pair of holes with an awl.

Through the holes attached to the bottle neck of the clothespin, it is required to make similar holes in the plastic. In addition, it is necessary to make holes for the buttons-eyes, choosing the most optimal place.

Preparation of parts for the torso

A five-liter bottle is ideal for making the body of a swan, in the bottom and lid of which you should make a pair of holes to secure the wire neck frame. A small "window" is cut out in the sidewall of the bottle, which will allow the hand to freely pass into the bottle.

Assembling a swan from blanks

Finished elements must be assembled in a specific sequence.

Head making

We fix the eyes and insert the beak. Fill the resulting voids with foam

For attaching the eyes, buttons and a piece of thin wire are used, which is twisted inside the bottle with pliers. Using synthetic threads, a beak-pin is sewn, from which a metal ring has been removed.

To fasten the two halves of the clothespin, you need to use tape. The free space in the beak is filled with a piece of foam and isolon, on top of which double-sided tape and a piece of red cloth are glued.

Neck making

We string the prepared six-petal parts around the neck

A strong and thick wire bent in half should be passed through the wire attachment in the swan's head. A synthetic winterizer is laid inside the head, and plugs are strung on the wire, which alternate with six petal parts.

The fringe made on the head should be tightened with fishing line on the neck.

Making the torso

Initially, the neck wire is passed through the bottom of a five liter bottle and then exits from the holes in the cap. The wire is guided by hand through the cut "window".

To stabilize the position of the finished swan, fill the bottle with small stones that will give the body weight. The ends of the wire are fixed at the exit from the cover in the form of a tail. Over the frame of the entire body, elastic tights are pulled in a double layer.

Plumage performance

Sew on feathers

The cut out "petals" of feathers must be fixed on the body, starting from the tail section. Each subsequent row of feathers should slightly overlap the previous one, which allows you to hide the attachment points.

Strong synthetic threads are used for fastening. The plumage of the ends is carried out by attaching single plastic "petals".
