We decided to start with the simplest method in our opinion.

Each of us taught physics at school, but not all apply the knowledge gained in practice, but in vain, because a homemade washstand in the country, working on the basis of elementary laws of physics, can be created in the literal sense of the word in two minutes.

Initially, an eggplant of any capacity is taken and a small hole is made in the bottom with a hot nail, awl or any other sharp object, only the hole should be really small in the region of 2 - 3 mm.
After that, you need to tie a wire or rope to the neck.... For it, our unique structure will subsequently be suspended on a tree or wherever it is convenient.
In principle, this is all, our unit is already ready... After that, we just have to close the hole made earlier with our finger, fill the container with water, screw the lid tightly and hang it.
Since there is no air access from above, water will not pour out through the hole... But as soon as we loosen the lid a little, air will begin to flow into the container and as it enters, water will flow from the hole in the bottom. If you screw the lid back on, the process will stop.

Hourglass

In our opinion, such a formulation best describes the principle of operation of the following handwashing device.

Important: for such a washbasin, it is best to use standard one and a half liters eggplants, preferably with thick walls.
As a last resort, you can take 2 liters.
It makes no sense to take less, but if you take more, the container will simply burst under its own weight.

As in the first case, you can do with an awl and wire, only the manufacturing instructions and the principle of operation change slightly.
We start by punching several holes of arbitrary diameter in the bottom of the lid, water will flow through them.
Further, in the middle of the flask we make a through hole in both walls at once and pass a wire through it.
All this device is hung in a place convenient for you. After that, the shower cover is unscrewed and water is poured to the level of the hanging holes, that is, to half. The cover is tightened and the device is ready for use.
Agree that all this resembles an hourglass. Turned over to one side, water flowed. Turned in the opposite direction, stopped flowing. The only inconvenience is that the capacity is too small.

Hole in the cover

This design is closer to the standard washstand familiar to everyone. For its manufacture, a minimum of tools are used. As well as in " hourglass", You will need a knife, an awl and a hanging wire. The eggplant is taken with a capacity of 1.5 - 2 liters.

Important: unlike the above methods, one awl, knife and wire is no longer enough here.
These recipes are more suitable for a summer residence, since it is easier to make a washstand in a country house than at a picnic, because there are more tools and opportunities.
It is better to make such designs from bottles with a capacity of 5 liters or more.

Before making a washbasin from a 5 liter bottle, conduct an audit in the pantry and find out what you have in stock, because designs can be different. The first device that folk craftsmen offer works on the same principle as made of plastic or metal.

For a movable rod, you can use a regular nail, but it is better to take some kind of stainless rod. A central hole is punched in the cover, along which the stem will move. Several small holes are made around it, through which water will flow.
