Detailed diet for exacerbation of an ulcer. Nutrition for gastric ulcer and dpk during exacerbation and remission

Damage to the mucous membrane of the stomach or duodenum with the formation of ulcers is associated with the predominance of aggressive factors (pepsin, hydrochloric acid, bile acids) over the protective factors of the mucous membrane itself. An important role in this is played by Helicobacter pylori causing inflammation of the mucous membrane and destroying local defense factors.

The most common symptoms are pain in the upper abdomen on an empty stomach (in the morning, between meals and at night). Symptoms of a hungry ulcer make the patient eat more often, including at night, the pain subsides 30 minutes after eating. Less specific for peptic ulcer are decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, a feeling of fullness in the stomach, and weight loss.

A patient with a peptic ulcer should be aware of life-threatening complications.

  • Ulcer perforation - the formation of a through defect in the wall of the stomach or duodenum. A perforated ulcer is one of the most dangerous complications, since the contents of the stomach enter abdominal cavity and calls diffuse peritonitis .
  • Bleeding - manifested by staining the stool black.
  • Malignancy.

Violation of the diet and the consumption of food that irritates the gastric mucosa is the cause of peptic ulcer disease and its exacerbations, along with alcohol consumption, smoking and nervous tension. Therefore, nutritional therapy and diet are an integral part of the treatment of this disease.

The purpose of a therapeutic diet is to create conditions for the elimination of pain, dyspeptic symptoms and ulcer healing. The diet can reduce the activity of the acid factor of the stomach, reduce its excitability and stimulate regeneration processes. Reception write at the same time and in small portions gently affects the mucous membrane and helps to eliminate inflammation.

It is difficult to unequivocally answer the question of what kind of diet is needed for stomach ulcers, since it differs at different periods of the disease. In the treatment of peptic ulcer disease with high acidity different treatment tables are sequentially assigned:

  • - with maximum limitation different types exposure (mechanical, chemical and temperature) on the stomach, for a period of 6-10 days;
  • - with an unsharp limitation of all types of aggression on the stomach, the average duration of treatment is up to two weeks;
  • - with moderate stomach sparing, for up to six months.

However, we can say for sure that a therapeutic diet for gastric ulcer at any stage of the disease provides for the exclusion (to one degree or another) of strong stimulants of gastric secretion and irritants of the mucous membrane. Preference is given to products that quickly leave the stomach (mushy and liquid food).

A sparing regimen is facilitated by regular and fractional nutrition - it facilitates the digestion and assimilation of food. The consistent appointment of therapeutic diets with a gradual expansion of the list of permitted products and methods of their processing, consolidates the obtained therapeutic result, gradually prepares the organs of the gastrointestinal tract and prevents exacerbation in the future.

Proper nutrition for stomach ulcers creates conditions for eliminating inflammation and repairing the mucous membrane. It should exclude mucosal irritants.

Mechanical irritation of the gastric mucosa is caused by:

  • a large amount of food at one time;
  • taking a large amount of coarse fiber contained in radishes, turnips, beans, gooseberries, grapes, currants, raisins, dates, bran bread;
  • the use of sinewy meat, cartilage and poultry skin.

Chemical irritation of the mucous membrane is caused by products:

  • having an acidic environment (acidic foods, sour unripe fruits);
  • stimulating gastric secretion: broths, strong navars of vegetables, spices, fried foods, canned food, smoked meat and fish products, tomato sauce, pickled and pickled vegetables, meat and fish stewed in their own juice, hard-boiled eggs, dairy products; rye bread, butter dough, milk whey, overheated edible fats; skim milk, strong tea, coffee, alcohol, carbonated drinks, raw vegetables, sour fruits and berries.

Excessively cold or hot food has a thermal effect.

In this regard, the diet should include warm, coarse, pureed dishes with a weak sokogonny effect: milk, eggs, milk porridge, boiled meat (in variations). Milk protein contributes to the scarring of the ulcer, and frequent meals with the exception of rough dishes causes mechanical sparing of the mucous membrane.

Diet for stomach ulcers during an exacerbation

During this period, all factors of adverse effects on the mucous membrane should be as limited as possible. This food option is prescribed for 6-8 days, since it is not balanced (the lower limit of the norm, proteins and fats, carbohydrates are significantly limited). However, in bed rest, the diet provides the physiological needs of the body.

Nutrition during an exacerbation has the following principles:

  • Six meals are organized, and the amount of food taken at one time is limited. Eating sparing foods at the same time can help reduce inflammation.
  • Given that the patients are on bed rest, food is prepared only in liquid form (it can be mushy) and jelly-like. Such nutrition helps the process of ulcer repair, reduces the activity of the inflammatory process. The porridges are first boiled, and then wiped and diluted to the desired state with water or milk.
  • Any causative agents of secretion (all broths, sour drinks, fermented milk products) and irritants of the mucous membrane (coarse foods, all vegetables, coarse cereals) are excluded.
  • Difficult to digest foods (mushrooms, tough meat with fascia, tendons and skin in poultry and fish) are excluded.
  • Any bread is not allowed.
  • Soups are allowed only mucous in water or milk from oatmeal, semolina, rice groats. Slimy soups sparing the stomach as mechanically as possible. In fact, these are decoctions obtained during prolonged cooking of cereals. They are filtered, but not rubbed, slightly salted and put in oil. To speed up cooking, soups are made from flour for baby food or from ground cereals.
  • Cereal dishes (from buckwheat, oatmeal, rice groats) are prepared in the form of liquid porridge in milk, wiped and butter is added to the finished one.
  • From dairy products, milk, calcined cottage cheese, milk jelly and cream (in soups) are allowed. Whole milk - 4 glasses a day.
  • Soft-boiled eggs or steam omelet (up to 2 pieces) are allowed.
  • Excessively cold and hot dishes are excluded. Hot dishes should have a temperature of 50-55 ° С, and cold ones - 15-20 ° С. Cold food slows down the regeneration processes of the mucous membrane, and too hot food also adversely affects the mucous membrane.

Thus, this food creates all the conditions for reducing inflammation, since it does not contain coarse food and products that irritate the mucous membrane. A decrease in the volume of a one-time meal, and fractional nutrition, determines mechanical sparing. Adequate amount of protein is necessary for the ulcer to heal faster.

Nutrition for a bleeding ulcer

For ulcerative bleeding, a specialized diet is used. If indicated, the patient can receive parenteral nutrition until the bleeding stops. After its cancellation, it is allowed to take 200 ml of liquid cold food per day. It can be milk, jelly, jelly, cream, after a while sour cream and raw eggs, slimy soups are added. As a result, the patient is transferred to Table number 1A with extension to variant Table number 1 .

To fight anemic prescribe meals with increased content proteins (140-150 g), while fats are somewhat limited (60-70 g). It is necessary to enrich the diet with iron, cobalt, copper, manganese, cyanocobalamin, so it is advisable to introduce dishes with liver and yeast. With a satisfactory state of health, already after 1.5 months, not chopped food is allowed with the addition of fresh vegetables and fruits. Plums, apples, peaches can also be eaten in an uncleaned form.

What kind of nutrition is shown when the process subsides and recovers?

It is moderately gentle, physiologically good nutrition within Table number 1 ... It must be adhered to for a long time (up to six months), since peptic ulcer disease needs a long diet. It is also necessary to carry out anti-relapse treatment in parallel.

The absence of strong irritants in food at any stages of the disease (meat, mushroom broth, ear, strong tea, fried foods, coffee, carbonated drinks, pickles, mustard, alcohol) creates conditions for successful treatment and a long relapse-free period. The gradual expansion of the diet prepares the digestive tract organs for the transition to a common table, in which it is still worth limiting too hot, spicy, very hot foods and alcohol, and maintaining a regular meal.

If the patient has peptic ulcer disease and concomitant, then the nutrition is almost the same, however, the amount of protein consumed increases to 140-160 g, since essential proteins are necessary to prevent the negative action of the enzyme trypsin ... The amount of fat must be reduced to the lower limit (80 g), including the exclusion of high-fat dairy products.

Usually, with good health, it becomes difficult for patients to observe for such a long time. Diet number 1 and the duration of stay on it is reduced to 2-3 months. The diet is expanded, unpolished food is introduced, and raw vegetables and fruits are added. These include sweet plums, peaches, nectarines, apples, and among vegetables, tomatoes. In the future, when carrying out anti-relapse treatment in the autumn-spring period, you should again switch to sparing nutrition for 2-4 weeks (first Table No. 1B, and then - No. 1).

There is no need to do anything to lose weight with an ulcer. First of all, because the patient with an exacerbation worsens appetite, there is vomiting after eating, and he is afraid to eat normally. In addition, the prescribed medical nutrition itself contributes to weight loss, since the list of permitted products is very limited (especially Tables 1A and 1B, they have a reduced calorie content) and frying dishes in oil is excluded for a long period.

Sweets and other simple carbohydrates are limiting because they increase anxiety nervous system... If you exclude smoked meats, flour, fatty foods, alcohol from the diet, then the issue of weight loss will disappear. It is enough to adhere to the recommendations regarding nutrition, and it will decrease.

It is categorically impossible to starve in the presence of gastrointestinal diseases. The addition of spices (ginger and cardamom) to drinks, which accelerate metabolism, is also contraindicated. Any spices are prohibited, as they provoke the release of digestive enzymes. Also, the patient cannot refuse white bread in favor of black bread, which is always recommended for diets. As you can see, the desire to lose weight can exacerbate.

Diet for gastric ulcer during unstable remission:

  • To exclude as much as possible products that increase secretion (rich broths, spicy, pickled, smoked and fried foods, alcoholic beverages, coffee, tea, carbonated drinks).
  • Avoid irritating foods (citrus juices and sour fruit juices, cranberries, tomatoes, onions, peppers, garlic, turnips, radishes, coffee, tea, ginger, chocolate, alcohol) and foods that increase gas formation.
  • Reduce food intake - a fist-sized portion at a time.
  • Frequent meals (5-6 times a day). The last appointment is no later than 3 hours before bedtime.
  • Eat foods warm, since cold foods take a long time to digest, and hot ones irritate the mucous membrane.
  • Increase protein intake and decrease fat (fatty pork, goose, duck, lamb, cream, butter, cream cakes).
  • The main methods of cooking are cooking, stewing, baking in the oven, starting from the third week of exacerbation.
  • Do not mix foods that do not combine (proteins and carbohydrates) to avoid rotting and fermentation.
  • Include in the diet bananas, wild strawberries, cherries, blueberries, potato juice, broth of oats, sweet apples.
  • During stable remission, nutrition is close to that of a healthy patient, but with restrictions on spicy foods.

By following these dietary recommendations, excluding smoking, which increases the risk of relapse, and alcohol intake, you can achieve a long (several years) relapse-free course of the disease. Patients suffering from peptic ulcer disease should avoid taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Diet menu for stomach ulcer (Diet)

The food menu for stomach ulcers depends on the stage of the process (exacerbation, unexpressed exacerbation or attenuation of exacerbation, remission). Since, with a pronounced exacerbation, food is organized in a hospital, when the condition improves, the therapeutic diet is not followed for long, and food during the recovery period and in remission is longer (up to 6 months), it is more advisable to bring the menu for a week for this period.

This is already physiologically complete nutrition (90-100 g of proteins, 100 g of fat and 420 g of carbohydrates). The food is fractional, the volume of one-time meals is reduced and it is balanced in terms of vitamins and minerals.

Diet recipes

Below are the recipes for cooking during different periods of the disease. Diet meals have different cooking and heat treatment technologies.

Diet mucous soups are used at the initial stages of the disease with severe inflammation. They are strained decoctions of long-boiled cereals, but without rubbing the cereals themselves. The broths are slightly salted, seasoned with an egg-milk mixture and butter is added. The finished dish has a uniform creamy consistency, without food particles and curdled egg flakes.

Milk soups are used in Diets 1A and 1B ... They are prepared with cereals, in milk with the addition of water (1: 1). The cereals are pre-cooked until tender, and then boiling milk is added. The groats in the finished dish should not retain their shape, so they are rubbed, the color of the soups is white, and they have a sweetish, slightly salty taste.

Mashed soups are the basis of the first table. They are boiled in water with cereals, potatoes and carrots. Well-boiled ingredients are wiped, salted and oil is added.

For ulcers, cooking is preferable: steaming and boiling in a water bath. For a greater removal of extractive substances, the meat needs to be cooked in small pieces, then drain the primary broth, and the meat in fresh hot water cook until tender. It is used as a semi-finished product for stews and chopped dishes.

When cooking with steam, the product should not come into contact with the liquid, therefore, the loss of nutrients is less. Boiling in a water bath is carried out at a temperature of 40-70 ° C in a container lowered into a large container with water. In the diet, omelets, sauces, egg porridge and puddings are prepared in this way.

First meal

Hercules is poured into the water and boiled for at least an hour until completely boiled. The broth is filtered through a sieve without rubbing, salt and sugar are added.

Milk soup with meat puree

Beat boiled meat in a blender and rub. Meat puree is mixed with ready-made rice slimy broth, salted, boiled. When cooled to 70 ° C, pour in the egg-milk mixture and beat well with a whisk. At the end, add butter.

Second courses

Chop the carrots on a grater, simmer with water and add butter.

Rice is boiled for 20 minutes, rubbed and pour in hot milk. Add poached carrots, sugar, continue to cook for another 30 minutes or 45-50 minutes. At the end, add a piece of butter.

Chicken cutlets (steam)

Prepared from raw poultry pulp using fillet and pulp of the legs. The minced meat is twisted, butter, salt, milk and wheat bread are added. Form small cutlets, steamed on a wire rack.

desserts

Soak gelatin in cold water and heat slightly until it dissolves. Cut apples, peeled from the skin and seeds, and bake in the oven with the addition of water.

Grate baked apples, add sugar. Beat the cooled egg whites. Combine applesauce, protein mass and pour in gelatin. Stir gently and arrange in molds. Refrigerate.

Curd soufflé

Pureed cottage cheese, milk, sour cream, semolina and yolks are whipped in a mixer. Add whipped egg whites and mix. The curd mass is laid out in a mold and steamed.

Exacerbations of peptic ulcer disease in most cases are associated with improper diet. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the diet.

For stomach and duodenal ulcers, the diet should contain maximum amount vitamins and minerals, especially calcium, magnesium and potassium.

In addition, the diet must be followed for a long time so that the ulcer does not recur.

The main principles of diet selection:

  1. Complete nutrient profile despite limited food intake.
  2. Special preparation of food with a gentle effect on the mucous membrane.
  3. Compliance with the regime of fractional meals with frequent meals.

With an exacerbation of a peptic ulcer, it is necessary to observe the strictest diet with the preparation of dishes, which in themselves allow the ulcer to heal. Sometimes ulcers go away even without medication - only thanks to physical rest, the elimination of nerve stimuli and a special diet that includes pureed soups and cereals.

After the exacerbation of the ulcer has passed, you can expand the list of dishes, moving on to the therapeutic food, which is recommended for gastritis with high acidity.

So, in the first 4-7 days of exacerbation of peptic ulcer disease, complete rest and special nutrition should be observed. At first, cooked food should be warm, not hot... Food shouldn't be easy gentle, but also quite high-calorie, so that the body quickly regains its functions. And you need to eat at least 6-7 times a day.

Prohibited foods for ulcers:

  • fried and stewed dishes;
  • spicy dishes, spices, spices;
  • bread and bakery products;
  • raw fruits and vegetables;
  • confectionery;
  • cheese;
  • sour cream;
  • dairy products.

Allowed meals and products:

  • mashed milk porridge with the addition of a small amount of butter or cream (semolina, oatmeal, buckwheat, rice);
  • steam cutlets from rabbit, veal, white chicken meat;
  • boiled meat;
  • baby food from cans, diluted with water;
  • milk, low-fat cream, steam soufflé from pureed fresh non-acidic cottage cheese with added sugar;
  • soft-boiled eggs or steamed omelet;
  • boiled vegetables (zucchini, carrots, beets, potatoes);
  • jelly and jelly from sweet varieties of berries and fruits (especially from raspberries, strawberries, red currants) - the starch included in their composition envelops the walls of the stomach and protects them from irritation;
  • sugar and honey in limited quantities;
  • milk jelly;
  • weak tea with milk;
  • juices from non-acidic varieties of fruits and vegetables (half diluted with water and slightly sweetened);
  • rosehip broth (it not only quenches thirst and does not irritate the stomach, but is also a source of vitamins).

Menu for exacerbation of peptic ulcer

The first one or two days you must follow a strict diet.

  • Breakfast: steam omelet of 2 eggs, a glass of milk.
  • Second breakfast: a glass of strawberry jelly.
  • Lunch: mashed milk rice soup with butter, steamed meat soufflé with vegetable oil, fruit jelly.
  • Afternoon snack: a glass of rosehip broth.
  • Dinner: steamed fish soufflé, mashed oatmeal, raspberry jelly.
  • At night: a glass of milk.

Steam soufflé of meat and fish
Tendons, fat and skin are removed from the meat. Then it is boiled and passed through a meat grinder 2-3 times. A fish low-fat varieties preparing also.

On the second - third day of illness introduce into the diet white dried bread without a crust, as well as non-acidic vegetables and fruits without coarse skin, chopped on a grater. Meat and fish are still in the form of a steamed soufflé, dumplings, cutlets and mashed potatoes. Sour cream sauces are allowed.

A week later you can diversify the diet. Here is a sample menu for this period of the treatment of the disease.

Menu a week after exacerbation

  • Breakfast: steamed curd soufflé, mashed rice milk porridge with butter, a glass of milk.
  • Second breakfast: a glass of milk jelly.
  • Lunch: mashed milk buckwheat soup with butter, chicken steamed cutlets with vegetable oil, strawberry jelly.
  • Afternoon snack: rosehip broth, white bread croutons.
  • Dinner: steam omelet from 2 eggs, fruit jelly.
  • At night: a glass of milk.

2-3 weeks after exacerbation of the disease the diet can be expanded. The ulcer had already begun to heal by this time.

Therefore, start eating vegetables and fruits that contain fiber to avoid constipation. However, it is better to use them as before in pureed form, as well as in the form of mousses, jellies, compotes and jelly.

Apples can be baked with added sugar and sour cream.

Meat and fish can already be eaten whole boiled. But they don't have to be greasy.

During this period, a diet that is used for gastritis with high acidity is suitable.

With sparing nutrition and appropriate treatment, the ulcer goes away rather quickly, but the inflammation lasts much longer. In addition, conditions for exacerbation of peptic ulcer disease persist for a long time. That's why the diet must be followed for several months... Of course, it is no longer so tough, but the basic principles of nutrition cannot be violated.

Gerzon's diet
In the first 3-7 days, drink mostly vegetables and partially fruit juices, slightly diluted with warm water, and in rather large quantities.

Then move on to mashed or finely chopped vegetable and fruit purees, baked potatoes, baked apples.

Consume these foods for another week.

Then include grated raw apples in your diet. Continue eating this way for another 5-7 days. And go to your regular diet.

Diet M Goren
According to this diet, the most effective treatment stomach and duodenal ulcers are herbal decoctions that are prescribed in accordance with the nature of the ulcer and the acidity of the gastric juice.

Together with herbs, it is necessary to use flaxseed, prepared in a special way:
Lightly fry the flaxseed in a pan (not overcooking) and grind in a coffee grinder. Soak 2 teaspoons of flaxseed in a glass of water overnight. In the morning before breakfast, heat the infusion in a water bath, but do not bring it to a boil. After cooling a little, drink slowly.

An hour after that, make Goren's dish for breakfast:
Soak 2 teaspoons of flaxseed in a glass of cold water. Add grated apple or finely grated carrots, almonds or nuts, rub with honey. Depending on the taste, you can add lemon juice or yogurt.

Eat your second breakfast after 2 hours: carrot juice or juice from fresh cabbage.

An hour later - a large glass of herbal tea.
Take in equal parts nettle, horsetail and fragrant violet (another option is nettle, mallow, marshmallow, plantain). Add a pinch of licorice to these. Mix well, then pour 3 teaspoons of the mixture with boiling water (300 ml). Simmer over low heat for 25 minutes. Add honey if desired. Drink slowly, in small sips.

Treatment of ulcers by fasting
After 3 days of fasting, hydrochloric acid ceases to be produced in the stomach, which in most cases provokes the development of ulcers. In the absence of acid, the ulcer quickly heals. Along with its healing, pains, heartburn and other unpleasant symptoms disappear.

When fasting, you can only drink water and try to stay in bed. Physical and emotional stress is contraindicated. Fasting with high acidity is carried out within a week and only under the supervision of a doctor.

A peptic ulcer is a chronic disease of the whole organism with ulcerative lesions of the stomach or duodenum. An exacerbation of the disease can occur due to disturbances in the normal activity of the nervous system (excessive nervous tension, severe mental shocks, prolonged or often repeated difficult experiences). An important role in the occurrence of peptic ulcer disease is played by non-observance of the correct diet (irregular nutrition, dry food). The main signs of peptic ulcer disease are periodic, mainly on an empty stomach and at night, pain in the upper abdomen, heartburn, belching, vomiting.

The presence of an ulcer in the stomach or duodenum with peptic ulcer disease is a local manifestation of the disease of the whole organism, in which nervous, humoral and metabolic processes are disturbed.

Peptic ulcer treatment should be complex, including a number of methods, among which the leading place belongs to therapeutic nutrition.

The basic principles of nutritional therapy for exacerbation of peptic ulcer disease are as follows:

Creation of the greatest rest for the mucous membrane of the stomach and duodenum;

Exclusion of products that have a strong sokogonny effect;

Exclusion of products that mechanically irritate the gastric mucosa (i.e., food is given mainly in a pureed form);

Frequent and fractional meals. Eating every 3-4 hours. Abundant introduction of food is contraindicated, for 1 reception;

Avoiding too cold or very hot food;

High nutritional value of a diet containing a sufficient amount of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, mineral salts, vitamins, mainly C, group B, A.

Products that enhance the secretion of gastric juice are excluded from the diet: meat, fish and mushroom broths, meat and fish fried and stewed in their own juice, smoked and salted foods, spices and spices (mustard, pepper, etc.), alcoholic drinks, sparkling water, strong tea and coffee. Should not include products containing coarse fiber (turnip, swede, radish), mechanically irritating the gastric mucosa.

The sparing diet includes foods and dishes that slightly stimulate gastric secretion: milk, cream, cottage cheese, cereals, mashed boiled vegetables, grated cereal and vegetarian (except cabbage) soups, soft-boiled eggs or omelet, boiled meat and fish, weak tea, alkaline mineral water that does not contain carbon dioxide.

Let's remind that milk and cottage cheese, cheese and eggs, meat and fish are rich in proteins. Fats are found in butter, vegetable oil, milk and cream. There are a lot of carbohydrates in bread and breadcrumbs, pasta and cereals (rice, semolina, oatmeal, barley, etc.), as well as in potatoes. Rosehip decoction is an important source of vitamin C.

It should be borne in mind that milk in some people can increase gastric acidity and cause heartburn.

Depending on the characteristics of the course of peptic ulcer disease, several diets are used. So, with a sharp exacerbation, diets No. 1a and 16 are shown, prescribed for a short time, with a less severe exacerbation, diet No. 1 (it is also effective in a sluggish, low-symptom course of the disease, without severe pain and heartburn).

The course of treatment usually begins with the most gentle diet, moving on to more stressful ones.

Diet No. 1a provides maximum mechanical and chemical sparing of the stomach. All dishes are prepared with pureed, liquid or mushy consistency. They are boiled in water or steamed.

Soups - slimy from rice, oatmeal or pearl barley; semolina soup (prepared with the addition of an egg-milk mixture, cream or butter). Broths can be prepared (to speed up the cooking process) also from flour for baby and diet food or from ground cereals.

Meat and fish dishes - steam soufflé from lean meat (beef, veal, pork or rabbit), poultry (chicken, turkey), fish (cod, pike, hake, ice, navaga, etc.). Soufflé is included in the diet once a day.

Cereal dishes and side dishes - liquid porridge, pureed from rice, oatmeal or buckwheat; porridge made from semolina, rice and buckwheat flour (with the addition of milk or cream).

Egg dishes - soft-boiled eggs, steam omelet, beaten egg whites (meringues).

Milk and dairy products - whole milk, condensed milk, natural and whipped cream, freshly prepared unleavened cottage cheese, steamed curd soufflé.

Fruit and berry dishes - jelly and jelly from sweet varieties.

Drinks - weak tea with milk or fresh cream, rosehip decoction, sweet fruit and berry juices, wheat bran decoction.

Fats - butter (added to ready meals).

Bread and bakery products are excluded from the diet.

If peptic ulcer disease proceeds without severe pain and heartburn (when it comes to peptic ulcer disease in remission), it often turns out to be the most effective diet No. 1 without mechanical sparing. This diet is especially indicated if the disease is accompanied by a decrease in the motor function of the intestines, which is manifested by constipation. Food is cooked boiled, but not mashed (meat and fish are given in a piece, vegetables are not grated, porridge is crumbly, etc.).

Medical nutrition for peptic ulcer disease, despite many restrictions both in the set of products and in the methods of their culinary processing, should still be as diverse as possible.

In those cases when patients do not tolerate milk poorly (heartburn, flatulence), it is replaced with milk jelly, milk diluted with 1/3 tea, or mineral water.

Ulcerative diseases are a common pathology. According to statistics, they affect from 5 to 10% of the world's population. Often, the disease affects young people of working age, most often males. If you are undergoing treatment for a stomach or duodenal ulcer, you should eat a healthy diet.

During a peptic ulcer, defects (ulcers) form in the stomach or duodenum. The disease is most often chronic, cyclical - the disease can develop over the years, and the stages of exacerbation are replaced by short-term stages of calm. The disease occurs due to stress, unbalanced diet, excessive alcohol consumption, smoking, uncontrolled medication or due to poor heredity.

The disease is caused by the microbe Helicobacter. When it enters the body, it begins to multiply and gradually destroys the internal organs. The microbe produces enzymes that damage the protective layer of the mucous membrane of the internal organs. This disrupts the protective function of cells, metabolic processes, as well as the process of mucus formation. As a result, decaying or inflamed wounds (ulcers) form in the stomach or duodenum. If you ignore the disease, the defect gradually penetrates deeper, complications arise: holes in the walls of the stomach or bleeding.

The most common symptom of peptic ulcer disease is discomfort in the stomach area. There are burning, aching, sharp pain, which intensifies after eating. Feelings of heaviness, excessive fullness of the stomach are often present.

The symptoms of a peptic ulcer are discomfort in the stomach.

A duodenal ulcer is characterized by pain that appears several hours after eating. About half of exacerbations of the disease are asymptomatic. The patient may feel nausea, belching, heartburn. Due to a lack of appetite, the patient refuses to eat, loses weight.

The main task of the patient in getting rid of a peptic ulcer is to restore all the natural processes that must take place in the body. A patient following a special therapeutic diet needs to consume about 3000 kilocalories daily.

The main task for an ulcer is to adhere to a special diet.

You should also adhere to the following tips:

  • be sure to eat foods containing vitamins A, C, B - the diet should be endowed with high nutritional value;
  • the food you eat should not irritate the mucous membrane of the internal organs;
  • you should drink at least one and a half liters of liquid per day (preferably water);
  • do not eat food that is overheated or too cold, the approximate temperature should be no more than 62 degrees for hot food and not lower than 15 degrees for cold food;
  • products should not cause sokogonny effect (increase in the production of gastric juice);
  • do not pass on, do not eat a lot of food at one time, this will only aggravate the discomfort in the stomach;
  • make sure that food does not irritate the gastric mucosa, if necessary, grind food.

Table. Necessary daily rate calories, proteins, fats, carbohydrates

The note! During treatment, eat at least six times (every few hours), but do not overeat. Portions should be small, but you should not leave the table with a feeling of severe hunger.

Eat small meals 6 times a day during treatment

Therapeutic diet for recovery

The principle of any therapeutic diet for ulcerative ailments is as follows: the menu should include food that does not affect the walls of the affected internal organs either chemically, thermally or mechanically. If you feel pain after consuming any food, remove it from your diet.

Food can be a medicine for many diseases. And you can't argue with that. Not in vain in Soviet times health care gave priority to diet for stomach ulcers. Compliance with the principles of nutritional therapy was strictly required.

The secret is that peptic ulcer disease of the digestive tract often heals even without treatment, but with proper nutrition.

Briefly about the ulcer

An ulcer is a single or multiple defect in the lining of the stomach or duodenum that leaves a scar after healing. When performing EGD, it can be barely noticeable (1-2 mm) or huge (more than 1 centimeter).

Even today, it is a pathology from which people die. Invisible enemy - bleeding takes away thousands of lives every year. Peptic ulcer loves large cities and is off scale where there is a high level of economic development. Among the population, he prefers carriers of the first blood group.

There are so many reasons causing ulcers that almost every person is at risk. You can start a list of factors of its appearance from the stomach - this is a violation of the secretory, motor and protective functions. Add the state of neuropsychic activity, hormonal levels and finish with heredity with the presence of pathogenic bacteria. But this is not a complete list.

One of important points in the appearance of an ulcer is an unhealthy diet, when a person prefers spicy, coarse food, eats hastily, often drinks alcohol and smokes a lot.

Features of nutrition for stomach ulcers, general principles

How do you need to eat to live without stomach pain?

The first thing to do is evaluate your diet. Gastritis and peptic ulcer disease in themselves signal the need to change habits and eating habits. Food should become medicine, water that wears away the stone.

Diet therapy will help with this. It solves a number of problems: it normalizes gastric motility, increases the protective properties of mucus, neutralizes acid, and stimulates the healing process. In fact, medical nutrition should be based on products that slightly stimulate secretion, quickly leave the stomach and slightly irritate its mucous membrane.

Principle one - reduce the aggressive effect of hydrochloric acid.

She is the leading damaging factor. It is necessary to remove products that stimulate the secretion of gastric juice. This includes everything that makes food spicy, piquant, and stimulates appetite: spices, spices.

All drinks containing alcohol, strong tea, coffee, coca-cola, citro. Rich meat broths. Food prepared during the frying process: meat, fish, potatoes and other vegetables.

The second principle is do not injure the mucous membrane. Eliminate coarse foods: raw vegetables with hard fiber (radishes, turnips), coarsely chopped cucumbers. Dried, dried fish, tough meat, sour berries with small bones (gooseberries, currants). Extremely cold or hot food.

Food cooked in a multicooker or double boiler is ideal.

Principle three - do not overeat. Fractional meals (5-6 times a day) should become habitual. The daily calorie content of the diet should be 2800-3000 kcal

How to manage gastric acid secretion? By consuming certain foods, you can increase or decrease the release of hydrochloric acid. Compliance simple recommendations will allow you to forget about the disease.

Prohibited foods for ulcers:

  • Flour products: black bread, especially fresh, fried pies, pastry with cream.
  • From the meat set: fatty fried meat, meat broths, cabbage soup, rich borscht, canned food.

  • Drinks: with gas, coffee, citro, coca-cola.
  • Spices: red and black peppers, hot sauces, mustard, horseradish.

  • From meat dishes: boiled and lean meat, fish, white poultry meat. Boiled lamb, beef, pork, poultry. Steam cutlets, meatballs, zrazy are also allowed.

What diet is prescribed for stomach ulcers?

Depending on the stage of peptic ulcer disease (open ulcer, stage of scarring or period of remission), different types of diets are provided. Some types of tables are further subdivided into "a" and "b", designed for a more strict diet.

For diseases of the stomach and duodenal ulcer, diets No. 1, No. 1 "a" and No. 1 "b" are shown. As a person recovers, he switches from one diet to another, thus expanding his diet. This is reasonable, adherence to the rehabilitation period will avoid relapse.

Diet number 1 for stomach ulcers

This diet takes place during the formation of a fresh scar, when the exacerbation of peptic ulcer and the phenomenon of acute gastritis subsides.

Provided for moderately mechanically and chemically gentle food, with a decrease in irritants. In fact, this is a physiologically complete diet, but pureed, steamed or water. Baking without a crust is acceptable.

Table salt is moderately limited. Very cold and hot dishes are excluded. Multiplicity of food at least 6 times a day. Good milk before bed.

With gastritis with high acidity. It is allowed to add stale white bread, low-fat cottage cheese, dry biscuits, non-sour dairy products, porridge with the addition of butter, steamed cutlets, white poultry meat, boiled meat, fish (pike perch) to table 1 "a". Finely chopped greens and vegetables or chopped with a blender are allowed, berries are allowed, but sweet.

Diet 1 "a" for stomach ulcers

It is also called mashed food. The strictest diet. This is a diet for exacerbation of stomach ulcers, gastritis, burns of the esophagus.

Appointed for 8-10 days. Its goal is maximum sparing and peace of the inflamed gastric mucosa. The basic principle: frequent meals (at least 6 times a day), in small portions in liquid form. Emphasis on milk, slimy soups (barley, oatmeal, rice), eggs, both raw and soft-boiled, various types of jelly, and sweet fruit jelly. Porridge with milk and rice is allowed. Semolina is good for the gastric mucosa.

Boiled meat in the form of a soufflé. Bread, rusks are prohibited. Vegetable side dishes are not recommended. Limit salt when cooking (it increases secretion). It is good to introduce drinks from rose hips, raw potatoes, cabbage, wheat bran on an "empty" stomach into the diet for stomach ulcers during an exacerbation.

Diet number 1 "b" for stomach ulcers

This table is less strict, shown after table number 1 "a".

Such a diet for stomach and duodenal ulcers can be considered stressful. Here you can add 50 grams of crackers, mashed porridge with butter, mashed potatoes, meat and fish dumplings, meatballs. Soups are cereal, milk, pureed. Shown are pureed milk porridge.

The multiplicity of food intake is maintained up to 6 times.

With a stomach ulcer during an exacerbation of a peptic ulcer, it is not prescribed. It is indicated for hepatitis and cholecystitis in remission. Its goal is complete nutrition, which should provide a healthy stomach.

Suitable diet for gastric ulcer table No. 5 "a" and No. 5 "p". They recommend gentle food that does not contradict stomach ailments.

Diet for stomach ulcers during an exacerbation, menu

During this period, for 10 -14 days, table number 1 "a" is shown, then table number 1 "b" and only then we go to table number 1.

Sample menu

In the early days, you need the strictest diet.

  • Cabbage juice (half a glass);
  • Milk steam omelet, a glass of milk;
  • Then milk jelly (glass);
  • Slimy rice soup, pâté meat;
  • Potato juice (half a glass);
  • Pike perch pate, oatmeal, jelly;
  • At night: milk (half a glass).

During this period, the meat is carefully processed, tendons and fat are removed. After boiling, it is passed through a meat grinder (several times). If the fish, then boiled and low-fat varieties.

On the third day, you can add white bread croutons to soups, which should be soaked. Vegetables and fruits only in pureed form.

After a week, we can introduce curd mass, slimy cereals with the addition of butter into the diet, and change the meat soufflé to boiled finely chopped poultry.

After 3 weeks, the diet expands as much as possible. The ulcer is already in the stage of a fresh scar. Therefore, vegetables and fruits are permissible in baked form, in the form of jelly, compotes and jelly. Boiled meat and fish are served in one piece.

With appropriate treatment and sparing nutrition, the ulcer heals rather quickly, but the inflammation persists for a long time. Therefore, a diet for ulcers and gastritis must be followed for another 2-3 months.

In addition, the threat of exacerbation of peptic ulcer disease remains in the future. Therefore, the principles of therapeutic nutrition must be adhered to throughout your life.
