Do-it-yourself cassette ceiling. We create a stylish interior: do-it-yourself cassette ceiling

When developing a room design, it is very important to pay attention to the ceiling space. The material used to decorate this part of a residential or office space must be durable, practical, aesthetically pleasing and not hazardous to human health.

Among the wide variety of ceiling designs, there are several options that can be used to decorate the ceiling both in the apartment and in the office. In particular, we are talking about cassette ceilings, which can be seen in shopping centers, shops and large office spaces. But it is worth noting that this option looks quite attractive on the ceiling of a living room.

What is it

A cassette ceiling is a special type of structure that consists of several parts in the form of square suspended slabs. The birthplace of cassette ceilings is France, where fashion and stretch ceilings originate.

According to French manufacturers, comfort and coziness in a room can be created by a ceiling structure with the following characteristics:

  • Simple and easy installation.
  • Attractive appearance.
  • Ease.
  • Durability.
  • High strength characteristics.
  • Easy care.

All these requirements may well be met by metal cassette suspended ceilings. In the process of searching for a special design, cassette suspended ceilings have been created with an excellent appearance, excellent qualities and the possibility of universal use. Thanks to the latter property, cassette ceilings are installed in rooms of various sizes and purposes.

The main elements of the cassette ceiling

Any design consists of several basic and additional elements, the cassette ceiling is no exception in this regard. It includes the following parts:

  • Cassettes or slabs can be called the main structural elements, as they are responsible for the appearance of the ceiling. For the manufacture of cassettes, metal is used, the shape of these elements is a square with sides from 30 * 30 to 90 * 90 cm. Color solution aluminum ceiling cassettes can be anything, in most cases these elements have a special painted and polished coating. Modern cassette ceilings come in a wide range of colors and shades, including mirrors.
  • The guides are made in the form of special rails. These elements are designed to hold cassettes or slabs, therefore they are fixed to the ceiling with a certain pitch. Guides are divided into two types: bearing and intermediate. Elements of the second type are equipped with special latches for more convenient and quick assembly.
  • Mini hangers are small lightweight elements that are attached to the rails.
  • Spring hangers are designed to fix the guides. These elements adjust the distance from the main ceiling to the suspended structure.
  • Corner profiles are structural elements that are attached to the plane of the wall.

Feature false ceilings cassette aluminum can be called the lack of fasteners for plates. Installation work involves simple laying of the main elements on the guide profiles, and they are kept under their own weight.

Types of cassette ceiling structures

Various materials are used for the manufacture of cassettes, thanks to which it becomes possible to create unique interiors.

Metal can be called the most common and well-known material for the manufacture of cassettes, mainly aluminum and galvanized steel are used.

The aluminum cassettes of the false ceiling are light and thin, have a bimetallic coating or a polished surface, processed using a special technology. This gives the elements a mirror-like shade.

Galvanized steel cassettes are coated with special powder paint. At the same time, special technologies are used with the use of high temperature indicators... The process of creating elements with a pattern is accompanied by ultraviolet irradiation to better fix the pattern on the plate.

In addition, the cassettes can be coated with a special UV-resistant film. Thanks to this, the color of the cassette does not change over time. The film is fixed to the tile surface using a special heating method.

Mirrored ceilings are manufactured using special technologies. This effect is achieved in several ways. In the first case, chemical polishing of the aluminum surface is performed. In the second case, silicate or acrylic glass is used for the manufacture of cassettes. The surface of the boards can be glossy, matte, golden or silver. Elements of this type must additionally be fixed on the guide profiles. Otherwise, if dropped, the cassette or plate may fall and cause harm to human health.

Thanks to the mirrored elements of the cassette ceiling, the room can change dramatically, which is why mirrored ceilings are very popular. With the help of such structures, the room is visually enlarged, and with the correct arrangement of lighting devices, interesting effects of the play of light are created.

But any mirror surface has one significant drawback - stains, traces of stains and various contaminants are clearly visible on it.

Also cassettes can be made of plaster. Such elements are distinguished by their lightness, high sound-proof and heat-insulating characteristics. The structure of the material allows you to create a variety of relief and structure on the surface of the cassette. The disadvantage of gypsum cassette ceilings is poor resistance to high humidity, which limits the area of their use.

Ceiling cassette made of mineral or silicate fibers is used in rooms with high demands to sound insulation. In addition, such elements have good thermal insulation properties, so they are used as part of the "pie" of ceiling insulation.

Wood cassettes are rare as they use expensive woods, including oak, ash and bamboo. Wooden ceilings with elements of carving have a luxurious appearance.

The cost of the main elements of a cassette ceiling directly depends on the material of manufacture, while aluminum cassettes are considered the cheapest, and wood slabs can be called the most expensive.

Advantages and disadvantages of a cassette ceiling

Before making a choice in favor of a cassette-type ceiling, it is necessary to find out the positive and negative aspects of structures of this type. In most cases, the performance of the ceiling depends on the material used to make the cassettes.

The advantage over other types is provided due to the following properties:

  • Easy installation of suspended cassette ceilings. Installation of the structure does not require preliminary preparation of the main ceiling, and the cassettes are simply placed on the guide profiles without special fixation.
  • Masking the imperfections of the ceiling. The structure hides all defects on the surface of the solid ceiling, including traces of stains of various origins, cracks, cracks, as well as floor beams.
  • The ability to hide wires and other communication elements. Inside the frame of the suspended aluminum cassette ceiling, power supply wires, heating and water pipes, as well as various cables are easily masked. At the same time, the design of the ceiling allows at any time to perform a technical inspection of the hidden elements or to carry out the necessary repair measures. For this, one or more cassettes are removed in the right place.
  • Repair of individual elements without dismantling the entire structure. If the integrity or deformation of one element is violated, it is replaced, while the rest of the surface remains intact. You can also install additional lighting devices without disassembling the entire ceiling.
  • Easy care and safety for human health. The metal cassette ceilings do not grow mold or mildew, so cassette ceilings can be installed in rooms with high humidity, including swimming pools, saunas and bathrooms. Resistance to the reproduction of harmful microorganisms makes the cassette structures safe for human health. Dust does not accumulate on the surface of metal elements, which makes it possible to wash and clean ceilings from cassettes without the use of special efforts.
  • Acceptable cost. The low price of some types of basic elements makes cassette metal ceilings affordable for most consumers.
  • Long service life. With proper handling and care, cassette ceilings can last a long time without losing their original appearance.
  • Wide selection. A wide selection of colors and shades, as well as a variety of textures, allows you to choose elements for almost any style of room.
  • Resistant to fire. The suspended ceiling with metal cassettes fully complies with fire safety requirements due to its resistance to open fire.

The disadvantages of cassette ceilings include the following:

  • Restriction in scope. The design of the cassette ceiling involves the creation of a frame that can "eat" up to 25 cm of the height of the room. Therefore, installation is possible only in rooms with high ceilings; such designs are not suitable for standard city apartments.
  • Despite the reasonable price of the main elements of the cassette ceiling, the total cost of the structure increases due to the use of profiles, these elements are quite expensive. Therefore, with a small budget, many consumers prefer plasterboard structures.
  • When using wooden cassettes, the fire hazard of the structure increases significantly. In this case, it is necessary to take measures to protect the cassette ceiling from fire.

Installation instructions

Installation work is not particularly difficult, but it is important to prepare a set necessary tools and materials. In particular, we are talking about the following:

  • A tape measure is required to perform various measurements.
  • For marking an aluminum cassette ceiling - a building level, threads and a pencil.
  • Holes in the main ceiling for attaching the cassette structure are made using a punch or drill.
  • You will also need pliers, nails, and metal scissors.
  • Materials for the assembly of the structure: corners, guide profiles, hangers and cassettes directly. All elements of a cassette ceiling must be from the same manufacturer, otherwise the assembly of the frame and the laying of the tiles can cause serious problems. See also: "Suspended cassette ceilings - types, differences, installation methods".

The process of installing a ceiling from cassettes or slabs is carried out according to the same scheme with differences depending on the size of the main elements:

  • First, a plan is drawn, thanks to which the correct location of the structure is ensured.
  • Next, the size of the extreme slabs is calculated, for this, the length of the wall is measured and the resulting value is divided by the length of one cassette. In a fractional number, the first digit is taken as the number of solid tiles, the second is halved and the size of the outer cassettes is obtained.
  • Using a pencil and a building level, mark the line of the cassette ceiling location. Determining the distance from the main plane to the suspended structure, the need for placement above the cassettes of communication networks is taken into account. Therefore, it is recommended to lower the ceiling at least 15 cm.
  • In accordance with the outlined line, the corners are fixed on the walls, placing fasteners in increments of 0.5 meters.

  • Threads are pulled between opposite corners, which will serve as a guide when installing the guide profiles.
  • Holes are made at the intersection of the threads in the ceiling; the suspensions should be fixed in them. The distance between the hangers depends on the size of the main elements, for example, for slabs measuring 60 * 60 cm, it is necessary to maintain a pitch of 120 cm between the hangers. In this case, the extreme suspensions should be located at a distance of no more than 60 cm from the wall.
  • In accordance with the tensioned threads, the guide profiles are fixed. First of all, long elements are mounted, then they begin to install short profiles. At the walls, the guides are cut using scissors for cutting metal.
  • Communications are laid inside the metal cassette ceiling and their performance is checked. The location of the lighting devices is also determined and the appropriate actions are taken to install them.
  • At the end installation works stack the cassettes on the assembled frame.

Care rules

In general, cassette ceilings do not require special maintenance, the only exceptions are mirror structures. To preserve the original appearance, it is enough to remove dust from the cassette ceiling with a soft brush. Accidentally appearing stains are removed with means intended for cleaning the material used for the manufacture of cassettes. In any case, it is not recommended to use abrasive compounds.

Do-it-yourself cassette ceilings allow you to get a stylish and beautiful room with significant cost savings.

Suspended structures for finishing ceilings in residential premises have long been common. With the help of elastic film, drywall or plastic, designers create amazing masterpieces. Even the cassette ceiling, which not so long ago could be found in an office, supermarket or school, with the power of creative thought, they managed to turn into a beautiful and sophisticated design. home interior.

Overview of cassette ceilings for an apartment

Are cassette designs suitable for apartments

There is no fundamental difference between all types of suspended ceiling cladding, however, some types, such as plasterboard systems, have more possibilities for decoration. So is it worth experimenting with cassettes or is it better to stay with a proven tension or plastic design?

To dispel doubts, consider the advantages that cassette suspended ceilings have:

  • the frame from the profile is erected quickly, cassettes are stacked no less quickly;
  • in the under-ceiling space, you can hide ventilation pipes and motions, to which easy access opens;
  • replacement of cassettes in case of repair takes a few minutes;
  • a variety of choices - mirrored, glossy, tinted, decorated with images, cassettes correspond to the chosen interior style.

It is worth mentioning the disadvantages, which, however, are inherent in any suspension systems. The main disadvantage is the change in the height of the ceilings, which are lowered by 15-20 cm, that is, in typical panel houses structures on the frame are undesirable. Many people do not like the fact that the ceiling is as if assembled from squares, since the borders of the cassettes will be noticeable in any case, but this is a matter of taste. The cost of components, especially stained glass and decorated ones, is more expensive than drywall and plastic panels, and budget ceiling cassettes are more suitable for office decoration. As you can see, there are few shortcomings.

Choosing a material

The textured and color variety of component materials allows you to solve even the most complex design problem. According to the material of manufacture, cassettes or, in other words, cassettes for the ceiling, are divided into several categories.

By combining elements of the same or different types, you can create exclusive cassette ceilings, which are not inferior to tension systems in nobility and beauty.

Stages of installation of an open cassette ceiling

With financial freedom, you can hire a designer and workers who will transform the apartment within a few days by installing exclusive suspension structures. But why overpay the masters if there is an opportunity to assemble a cassette ceiling with your own hands? Drill skills, small calculations, manual dexterity - and now your old painted ceiling turns into a smooth glossy surface, decorated with exquisite lamps.

Frame scheme for cassettes on hangers

Stage 1 - drawing up a project

A drawing of a cassette suspended ceiling for a kitchen or a rectangular hall is quite simple to make: a piece of paper should be drawn in the form of a grid indicating the dimensions of the walls, profiles, cassettes. After that, it is easy to calculate how many components you need to buy in the supermarket.

It is necessary to take into account the size of the insert elements - for a cassette ceiling 300 x 300, 2 times more profile is required than for an analogue measuring 600 x 600. In addition to cassettes and a profile (wall and guide), you will have to purchase suspensions and fasteners.

Open type cassette design

Stage 2 - installation of a frame from a profile

Traditionally, the installation of a cassette ceiling begins with marking. Armed with a marker, we apply marks on the walls along the entire perimeter, at least 15 cm below the ceiling level. For accuracy, we use water or laser level... We connect the marks with a line - the wall profile will be attached exactly along it. To fix the metal rails, we use a drill and dowels (screws). The spacing between the parts depends on the dimensions of the selected cassettes.

The next step is to attach the hangers to the pre-marked locations. A cord can be used for labeling accuracy. We drill holes with a perforator and fix the spring hangers to the ceiling with an anchor. For stability, we reduce the eyelet of the fastener with pliers. Additional suspensions are required for luminaires or ventilation devices.

The cassettes are placed one by one on the prepared box.

Stage 3 - fastening the guides

Before installing the guides, you need to adjust the length of each part using a jigsaw or circular saw. The slats must fit exactly into the grooves of the wall profile. We insert them one by one into the frame, trim them relative to the cord and fix them to the corner profile using a special latch. To adjust the suspension structure, we use special clips: if you squeeze them, the suspension moves in a vertical direction.

Intermediate rails should be installed from the center of the room. We snap them together and at the same time fix them on the main profile (latches located at the ends). We monitor the position of the rails - the elements must intersect strictly at an angle of 90 °. Having secured the central guides, move on to the walls. The end with the latch is inserted into the main profile, the free one is simply put on the wall element.

Metal guides are fixed on hangers with fasteners

Stage 4 - installation of cassettes and lamps

Suspended metal cassette ceiling, stained glass structure or plasterboard panels - any system requires the installation of lighting, so you should think about the wiring device even at the stage of building the profile mesh. Decorative slabs and cassette ceiling lights are installed at the same time. We simply insert the cassettes into the prepared cells, ideally they should lie in even rows on a metal profile. Last but not least, we mount the trimmed elements, although there is another option - the penultimate row is the finish line.

It is not necessary to install square raster lamps, recessed spot lighting looks more harmonious in a home environment. Glossy ceiling for the hall in two-storey cottage can be decorated with a chandelier.

Raster and Spotlights for cassette structures create a ceiling style

The closed system differs both in the type of profiles and in size. It is for a closed structure that 300x300 panels are often used. The frame is parallel lines, not a grid, as for an open system, so all profiles are almost invisible after the end of the work.

Diagrams and videos with detailed step by step instructions help to build a suspended cassette system yourself. Original design from neat square panels will refresh the interior and hide the imperfections of the ceiling.

Cassette ceilings will decorate the interior of any room in an original way. They are practical and easy to use and maintain. The structure is very strong, but at the same time lightweight and does not create additional loads on the floors.

This is a very important factor when doing finishing works in old houses with wooden floors... Decorative suspended cassette modules made of aluminum. They are not susceptible to moisture and are durable.

For interior decoration, suspended cassette ceilings can include modules covered with a decorative matte or glossy layer different colors and shades. Also, coatings, metallized mirror and with polymer spraying are widely used.

Cassette ones allow you to hide various defects of the existing ceiling and place any communications under them. At the same time, access to the ceiling space is very easy thanks to design features fastening panels.

By combining panels of different colors, cassette suspended ceilings allow you to create a variety of design solutions when decorating rooms. Any lighting fixtures can be easily built into the modules.

The cassette is easily and quickly mounted. Everyone can do the job home master with one assistant. The work will require a minimum set of tools and basic knowledge of installation technology.

There are two types of cassette ceilings:

  • With open harness
  • With hidden harness

Installation of cassette ceilings with an open grid system is considered the most common. For the installation of 600 x 600 mm modules, a T-shaped profile is used. Modules are made of aluminum or galvanized steel with all kinds of perforations. After that, a T-profile is visible at the joints of the panels.

Suspended ceilings with a hidden (stringer system) are easy to assemble and differ in the way the modules are attached. It is attached to the profile comb from below, and the next module is mounted end-to-end to the previous one. After completion of the installation, the support profile is hidden.

This article discusses the application of the most popular open-type suspension system. Before starting work, you need to draw up a small plan or procedure. An approximate plan should look like:

  • We calculate the materials
  • We will select the tools
  • Installation of the suspension system
  • Installation of luminaires
  • Installation of aluminum modules (panels)

Let's take a closer look at each point of the plan.

Calculation of materials

To calculate the materials, it is necessary to accurately calculate the ceiling area. Important to remember! Before installing the aluminum cassette ceiling, the walls must be leveled; otherwise, after installation, all the irregularities at the junction of the wall corner and the wall will be visible.

Knowing the area of the ceiling, you can order a set of materials. This can be done at any building supplies store. There they will help you choose the color and design of the future ceiling.

The cassette kit has the following composition:

  • Wall-mounted guide
  • T-support profile with 15 mm or 24 mm shelf
  • Universal adjustable hangers
  • T-shaped lintels 15 mm or 24 mm
  • Aluminum modules 600 x 600 mm

Selection of tools

To complete the work, you will need a minimum of tools:

  • Water or laser level
  • Painting upholstery thread
  • Electric impact drill
  • A hammer
  • Bulgarian
  • Pliers
  • Roulette and pencil, crayon
  • Construction corner 90 degrees

Installation of the suspension system

The cassette ceiling begins to be mounted from the marking of the horizontal plane of the future ceiling. For this, a laser or water level is used. With their help, marks are made on four walls. All marks are connected using a dye thread.

On the ceiling, markings are made (straight parallel lines) for attaching adjustable hangers. The width of the outer modules adjacent to the walls should be at least half the width of the whole slab and be the same along the entire perimeter. Whole panels should lie between them.

Along the line marked on the walls with a pitch of 400 mm, holes are drilled for plastic dowels to a depth of 6 cm with a drill. Dowels are driven into the holes with a hammer. After that, they begin to fasten the wall corner with self-tapping screws (the length of the rail is 3 m).

It is fastened with self-tapping screws to the wall in a dowel along the entire perimeter of the room. Along the lines marked on the ceiling, universal suspensions are attached with a pitch of 0.5 m. The suspension has two metal spokes threaded into a crescent-shaped spring, thanks to which its length can be adjusted. One spoke has a loop for attaching to an existing stream, and the other has a hook for attaching to a T-shaped hanger (hanger hook into the hole on the profile).

After the suspensions are fixed along the marked lines, a T-shaped bearing profile (its length is 3.7 m) is suspended from them. The profiles are interconnected with jumpers from the same T-profile (intermediate profile 0.6 m or 1.2 m) with a step of 600 mm. They are connected using built-in grooves on the profile and hooks on the lintel.

When intermediate strips are inserted between the main rails with an interval equal to the width of the ceiling module, the aluminum module is trimmed. This is done using a grinder or a hacksaw for metal.

Installation of luminaires

It's important to know! Before proceeding with the installation of the suspended cassette ceiling, all lighting wiring (as well as other wiring) must be laid in a protective corrugated plastic sleeve. It is usually attached to the ceiling with clamps.

In this example we will use 600 x 600 mm raster luminaires. They fit seamlessly into the frame cell on our aluminum cassette suspended ceiling. The luminaires are installed on a guide and an intermediate T-shaped profile and connected to the network.

Installation of aluminum modules

After that, the ceiling aluminum modules are mounted. Important to remember! An angle of 90 degrees must be observed between the intermediate profiles and the T-profile.

The module is installed in the aluminum cassette suspended ceiling with its ledge on the shelf of the T-shaped suspension. This allows, by easily lifting the element, removing it from the structure and gaining access to lighting devices or other ceiling communications. If necessary, it must be cut to size.

This is done with a grinder or a hacksaw for metal. After the installation of the aluminum panels is completed, the installation of the cassette ceiling is completed.

Maintenance of aluminum cassette ceilings

To remove dust, the surface of the ceiling can be pre-vacuumed. Then remove dust from the surface of the boards with a soft and damp sponge and soapy water.

If dirty spots appear after replacing lamps in lighting fixtures, remove them with a rubber eraser. After cleaning aqueous solution, wipe the surface of the ceiling with a dry and soft cloth, and the aluminum cassette suspended ceiling will sparkle with its pristine beauty.

The finishing of the ceiling structure is a serious stage during the renovation of the premises, regardless of where it is carried out - in the house, office, cinema or store. Modern version decor - the cassette ceiling can become that "highlight" that will decorate the interior of any room.

Many advantages and minimal disadvantages of cassette designs

The construction of suspended cassette ceilings includes a frame made of galvanized metal profile, and a cladding made of cassettes, the decorative side of which is especially structured and decorated in various shades and textures. Have cassette systems a lot of advantages:

Of course, they have a lot of advantages, but there are also disadvantages:

  • When installing a cassette suspended ceiling, the height of the room is reduced by 15 - 20 cm, which is especially noticeable in small-sized standard apartments old building.
  • Poor sound insulation of plates made of metal or glass.
  • For the installation of cassette systems, an expensive profile is required, since with some types of structures it remains partially open, that is, visible.
  • The joints of the cassettes are clearly visible, so the coating is obtained in the form of a lined sheet.

Features of panels from different materials

In the production of decorative panels, they use different kinds materials that endow products with certain properties and characteristics. For the manufacture of suspended cassettes, use various compositions.

1. Aluminum alloy or zinc plated steel.

Metal cassettes can have a glossy or matte surface, have a smooth or perforated texture, with a sputtering of a mirror-metallized layer or polymer suspension. The most popular are chrome-plated panels and products in white, light beige, with a silver or gold tint. Fans of unusual design projects can choose products of red, crimson, blue, black or any other shade from the international RAL Classic color chart. For panels that form a metal cover, the edge may have:

  1. perfectly straight edges;
  2. stepped shape;
  3. edge folded at 90 °.

Cassette panels are mounted in the suspended ceiling different ways, I form:

  • An open system. In this case, the slats are installed with a certain distance between themselves, which can remain open or closed with a special inter-lath bar, painted to match the main coating or be of a contrasting color. Such a ceiling is also assembled from planks with a board, which close the empty gaps. Such products are most often used for finishing floor panels in the bathroom, toilet and in the kitchen room of private houses and city apartments of multi-storey buildings.
  • Closed design. The planks are joined together closely, creating a continuous canvas, with barely visible seams.

2. Sheets silicate glass or plexiglass (acrylic glass).

Glass ceiling panels can be used to create a mirrored or matte finish, or an artistic painted surface. The size of glass panels is standard - 60x60 cm, which allows them to be used for cladding Armstrong suspension systems. The disadvantage of glass plates is their fragility. When they fall, they are often shattered into smithereens and cannot be restored. In addition, during the collapse of a glass product from a great height, injury to people in this place may occur.

Products made of acrylic glass combine excellent practical properties and a price that is affordable for most buyers. Cassettes made of polymethyl methacrylate are much lighter than silicate glass tiles, do not break under mechanical stress and are no less moisture resistant and resistant to temperature extremes. A mirrored or translucent matte cassette ceiling visually expands the space in the desired direction, depending on the chosen design, giving the room a sense of volume and depth.

3. Plaster. Cassettes are made of fine plaster or stucco and are reinforced with fiberglass throughout the entire area. They are divided into lightweight and standard products. Gypsum panels are available with embossed, smooth or perforated texture. They have a high degree of light reflection, fire safety and sound insulation properties, but insufficient moisture resistance. For their use in rooms with a high level of humidity, they need special treatment with moisture-repellent compounds.

4. Mineral or fiberglass.

Mineral fiber panels have high fire safety and sound absorption characteristics. The nomenclature is made up of slabs with various textures:

  • smooth;
  • micro-perforated;
  • embossed;
  • lattice;
  • with clear printed geometric patterns;
  • with designer edges.

The surface of the panels is laminated with textured fabric, aluminum foil, polyester film or painted with bactericidal paint different colors.

5. Wood. For the manufacture of wooden cassette suspended ceilings, wood is used from an array of oak, ash, bamboo and other types of wood. The cassettes are decorated with carved ornaments and drawings. They are distinguished by their high cost and unique handmade design.

Correct installation of suspension systems

Before starting the construction of the structure, a set of profiles, connectors and fasteners are prepared. The lathing is assembled from:

  • wall guides;
  • T - shaped ceiling profiles;
  • suspensions - knitting needles;
  • dowels and nails;
  • straight connectors;
  • crabs.

In order to carry out the installation of cassette ceilings with good quality, first of all, they mark the places for installing the guide profiles along the walls of the room, as well as the places for fixing the suspensions, which are designed to fix the T-shaped profiles. The position of the wall corners is marked at the level of the future finished structure and their horizontal position is checked with a laser level or bubble level. On the ceiling, lines are outlined for installing the ceiling profile in increments of 60 cm and frame segments perpendicular to it.

Guide profiles are produced smooth, with no holes, therefore, when installing them, grooves for dowels are first drilled in them with a step of 30 - 40 mm. Then the corner is applied to the wall and through the ready-made holes, the places for fixing the dowels are outlined, after which, using a puncher or an electric drill, holes are made for fasteners.

Suspensions are mounted at a distance equal to the width of the tiles and at least 30 cm, retreating from the wall. The ceiling profile with special holes is attached to the hangers with hooks along the entire length. Then perpendicular elements of the frame are mounted to it using special snap fasteners.

At the end of the assembly, the structure is leveled and stiffened. For this, tiles are installed in some prepared compartments located in different places on the plane. A thread is pulled from one guide element to the opposite one and the position of all elements of the lathing on adjustable suspensions is aligned along it.

After leveling the plane, the remaining decorative panels are installed in the cells. For the cells in which the installation of lamps is planned, cassettes are sold with ready-made holes for different types lighting devices.

In this case, the lamp is first connected, fixed in the cassette, and only after that the panel is installed in its place. The installation of the cassette ceiling is completed by the installation of gypsum or polyurethane molding around the perimeter of the room, which can also serve as a place for hiding electrical wiring and lighting devices with LED strips.
