Advantages and disadvantages of laminated doors. Laminated Doors: Advantages and Disadvantages What does Laminated door mean

Any modern interior cannot be imagined without such an important and functional component as the door. Manufacturers offer a fairly wide range of selection of such structures, and a special place in this list is occupied by laminated models. In comparison with many popular options, these species have a number of significant advantages with which it is worth reading more.

What it is?

The design of the laminated doors consists of several important elements. The base of the models is presented in the form of a frame made of bars. The inner part of the design is filled with special cells made from corrugated cardboard. Due to this, laminated models are distinguished by durability and reliability.

For frame facing, MDF plates are used. Coverage of models consists of a laminating film that is made artificially. It is worth noting that it is produced in a wide color palette.

Laminate, which covers the frame, is able to imitate different natural wood species.

Particular attention should be paid to the fact that the film is represented in several species. Laminatine has a different structure and thickness.

Design

As already noted above, laminated doors consist of several basic elements. These products are based on both synthetic and natural materials. Due to this, you can achieve high quality doors and their durability. The foundation of the doors is wooden canvas.

Material is treated according to special technology. In the construction sphere, the timber used for the base of the laminated door is called glued view. The advantages of such a frame are in resistance to temperature differences and moisture effects.

The next important component is the filler. Basically, for these purposes, corrugated cardboard or polyurethane is used. In cheap models, manufacturers replace these options with conventional foam, which is a rough mistake. Also, MDF panels are used to create laminated products, which, when assembling the doors, are fixed on the frame. The basis of this material is to waste wooden production in the form of crumbs. It is pressed under high temperature, and combine with an adhesive substance.

As for the film, it is more responsible for the decorative part. It is applied using a temperature-vacuum method. Due to this, doors and become laminated.

Advantages and disadvantages

Like any models, laminated doors have certain advantages and disadvantages. The advantages of such structures include:

  • high resistance to mechanical effects;
  • laminated doors are not afraid of exposure to high humidity;
  • these models have good abrasion resistance.

Another advantage of laminated models is that they do not need special care.

All you need to do is periodically wipe the design with a damp cloth. Specialized cleaning products can not be used.

In addition, laminated structures refer to environmentally friendly species. That is why they are applied not only in residential premises, but even in medical institutions. During operation, they do not emit toxic substances into the air. It is worth noting that in the process of their creation, a synthetic type resin is used, but multiple studies have shown that they do not harm human health.

Despite the presence of a lot of advantages, it is worth paying attention to the shortcomings of such doors. The first minus is their appearancewhich can not be called presentable.

Even with good resistance to mechanical stress, the doors can lose their attractiveness at a strong impact.

It is worth noting that chips and cracks on laminated models are difficult to remove.

Difference from veneered

Choosing suitable doors for the house, many people wonder: the laminated models differ from veneered. There is a big difference between these species. With different parameters, it is necessary to get acquainted in more detail.

  • The first thing to pay attention to is the appearance of the doors. Specialists and customers themselves argue that veneered options look somewhat solid. As for laminated models, they do not differ in special research in the design.
  • In addition, it is worth understanding what is a veneer. For the manufacture of doors, wood is used, which in the process of assembly is impregnated with special protective compositions. These substances increase the stability of finished products to moisture and temperature differences.

Veneered doors are covered with several layers of varnish. Due to this, the initial color of the design is preserved during the operation of products. The main thing a distinctive feature It is also the fact that the veneer refers to a number of natural materials.

Such models have excellent performance, which exceed even structures from the wood array.

Views

Modern doors manufacturers represent the attention of buyers several basic types of laminated designs. Models may differ among themselves in appearance, the method of opening and the place of application. Also, the difference between laminated doors lies in structural features.

  • The first thing to pay attention is a way to open. The most popular among buyers are standard swing models. They can be opened both in one and two sides. An original option is the interroom pendulum models.
  • Sliding instances can be used for saving space near the opening. In the installation of such a canvas, the upper rail and the guide in the lower part are used. A good option for modern interior Stage valves.
  • Special attention must be given to laminated sash. They can have a deaf insert or glass elements. It is worth noting that the second options are used not only as interior structures. Balcony doors Glass inserts perfectly fit into a classic or modern interior.

Materials

Various materials can be used to create laminated doors. For example, in the manufacture of cheap products that do not differ in good quality, the chipboard is often used. But it is worth saying that this option is suitable exclusively for dry premises. Doors made of MDF have quite high performance. They are able to replace expensive wooden structures from the massif.

Special attention should be paid to the materials that are used to create a film. The simplest and cheap option is paper coating. But such films are not distinguished by good quality. In addition, they are unstable to moisture. Paper coating quickly jumps, so it is used quite rarely.

A good option for making the door is the melamine film. For its creation, multilayer paper and a special resident impregnation will be applied. Thanks to such technology, the material is distinguished by strength and wear resistance. Often this film is called multilayer plastic. PVC coverage has excellent performance. Plastic film contains basically polymeric materials, due to which is distinguished by resistance to moisture.

The advantage of these parts is the availability of a wide range of color gamut.

Colors

Many specialists suggest that the door color must be harmoniously combined with a gender. Due to the fact that manufacturers of laminated models are pretty wide spectrum color paletteWith the solution of this issue, problems rarely arise. Special attention when choosing a suitable shade, it is necessary to pay the style of the room.

Neutral tones are popular among buyers. It can be cream colors or light gray shades. An universal option for almost any modern interior is the white doors.

For spacious premises in the classic style perfect dark colors. It can imitation natural tree, For example, Walnut, Merbau or Oak. Good choice For a classic ensemble, interior doors wenge will become interior doors. Such options bring special sophistication in the situation. The prerogative of modern destinations are cold shades.

Doors in such colors perfectly fit into the interior in the style of minimalism or loft.

Dimensions

If you choose a laminated interroom door, you need to pay special attention to such a item as the size of the structure. Most modern manufacturers Release standard models - 200x60 cm. Width can be more - from 70 to 80 cm. Non-standard options include constructions, the size of which exceeds 1.90x55 cm.

It is worth saying that certain norms are installed for each room. For example, if you choose a door for the kitchen, then its size should be 200x70 cm. The optimal depth of the opening is 7 cm.

For the bathroom, doors are ideal for the bathroom with rates of 200x60 cm. You can also consider the 190x55 cm models.

Having a non-standard opening, the door is best to order. In this case, the manufacture of the design will cost 30% more expensive than the finished option. In addition, you can resize the outlook. In order not to guess with the parameters, you must calculate all the indicators in advance. If you are not sure about the correctness of the data you received, it is best to use the help of specialists.

Basically, many companies engaged in installing doors and windows provide such a service.

Styles

It is worth saying that manufacturers offer customers laminated interroom doors in several styles. Choice suitable option Directly depends on the direction of the interior of the room.

  • One of the most popular styles is minimalism. For doors in such design, straight lines and simple geometric shapes are characteristic. Designs are deprived of classic decor elements. Often, aluminum or glass inserts are used to decorate the doors in the style of minimalism.
  • To another interesting modern direction Refers Loft style.Often this species has an "industrial" direction. The characteristic features of the loft is the presence of a large space and high ceilings.

  • Original and modernly looking laminated doors in the modern style. The peculiarity of most structures is the absence of symmetry. Often laminated doors in this style are complemented by stained glass with paintings.
  • One of the most purchased options are the doors in the classic style. This direction has nothing to do with previous options. Classics are inherent smooth curved lines. Typical element Constructions is the presence of milling having a form of a semicircle. Another characteristic quality classic models is symmetry.

Doors are decorated with additional decorative elements in the form of baguettes.

How to care?

As mentioned above, the laminated models do not differ in particular fortune-care. Despite this moment, the design will be able to serve you for a long time only with periodic cleaning. Basically, in order to wash the stains with laminated doors, an ordinary polyrolol is used. It is best to use the compositions in which wax is present. After cleaning, the surface will acquire a beautiful gloss. Also, the polyrolol will relieve the laminated door from the microcenarpine.

Nowadays, there is a huge amount of different different materials For the manufacture of interroom doors. A large number of Attention is paid to such materials as laminate and polyvinyl chloride. The most common doors are made from these materials. At first glance, a person who does not particularly disassemble in interior doors is not visible, the difference between doors made from these materials is not visible. Using this, unscrupulous sellers often sell an expensive door to the client, and they will be brought to the installation almost the cheapest. And the difference is felt only after a couple of months of use, when the material begins to swell, flashed.

Laminated doors - a new product, which is increasingly people pay attention when choosing a door leaf. Let's figure it out in the pros and cons of this material, because the material is the most important thing when choosing a canvas that should serve for a long time. We recommend that you first get acquainted with prices for laminated doors in Novosibirsk: https://www.dvaproraba.ru/catalog/dveri/mezhkomnatnie/laminirovannie/.

Let's try to consider this product in more detail. This is a canvas covered with a thin film - laminate. Such a canvas is very easily different from wooden structures. On the mDF panel A thin film is applied by hotly pressing - that is, the surface is laminated. Such production design allows you to protect it from bubbles, dugs and other unpleasant incidents.

More or less reliable material in the manufacture of the design is the MDF panel. Thin sheets of this material are nailed to a carcass consisting of a tree. For it, a bar of pine is used because it is the easiest of inexpensive materials. If you want to completely save, you can purchase the cheapest version of the laminated door consisting of plywood and chipboard, but at the slightest moisture, the bundle is inevitable.

Empties in the canvas are filled with cellular filler from cardboard. With the help of this technology, noise insulation increases several times, almost without taking the design. Using a solid sheet MDF, the weight of the structure increases several times, but the quality of sound insulation increases at times, and also better maintains heat.

Varieties of film

The quality of the film is the key to the longevity of the product, so it is worth carefully treating the choice. Particular attention when choosing a film should be paid to appearance and characteristics. Let's look at some of them:

  • The lowest costly both in terms of cost is the paper film. Almost nobody, not used the film sometimes finds his lovers.
  • The melamine film already has very strong properties such as: wear resistance, moisture resistance.
  • Film, additionally reinforced - fiberglass. Excellent features for a very good price. Very expensive and not always beneficial.
  • The two-volume film has good characteristics, except strength. A slight effect leads to the destruction of the film.
  • Polyvinyl chloride is one of the most reasonable price / quality price. Good features, a wide variety of colors makes this type of films based on polymeric materials very affordable and at the same time very interesting.

Advantages and disadvantages

Having considered the types of films can be distinguished by their advantages, such as:

  1. Inexpensive cost and widely used. The demand for the design data is very large and grows with geometric progress.
  2. A large number of colors, including imitating various wood structures, which makes this material very attractive.
  3. Resistance to water. PVC and fiberglass films are not afraid of water, but should not consider cheap options, such as paper films, it is unlikely to be saved in this form of the film.
  4. Very light designs apply almost everywhere where metal doors Just will not be able to keep.

By minuses of laminated doors include:

  1. Scratches, scratching - quite frequent phenomenon on this type of structures.
  2. Change color under the influence of ultraviolet rays.
  3. If the film was pasted not very high quality, then the detachment in the near future most likely will be the inevitable factor.
  4. Paper film does not like moisture and can only be used where the moisture is completely absent.

Nevertheless, it is quite difficult to give an unambiguous answer about the choice of laminate or PVC designs. In essence, polyvinyl chloride is a variety of laminate. For the greater the laminate, mostly exceeds polyvinyl chloride. An order of magnitude stronger and stable to wear the material of the laminate, nevertheless, in some cases, it may be toxic, but toxicity is more likely to refer to the technology of manufacturing a particular manufacturer than the material itself.

But if you compare laminate with veneered doors, then, besides the price, the laminate can not boast anything more, since the key material has the characteristics of much stronger and moisture-resistant, rather than laminated doors.

The natural tree is superior to the characteristics of polyvinyl chloride and veneered doors, but the weight of the canvas becomes very large that is not always the best solution.

Subtleties of choice

Choosing laminated doors

If you have thought up to purchase the doors, with a laminated film, then when choosing it is necessary to relate very carefully to such things as:

  1. Main material. Chipboard and plywood is the most impractical choice of this category of doors.
  2. Type of film. The melamine and PVC films stand in the choice much more priority than paper.
  3. The quality of the coating is the lack of bloat and bundle.

If the door has excellent characteristics and does not cause any doubts - boldly acquire such a door. The most important thing to learn about the composition of the material so that there are no problems with the toxicity of the material.

It is easy to find a high-quality door in our time, but still before choosing the door you need to read about the characteristics and qualities of materials - then the door will serve you with faith and true for many years, without bundles and swelling, without distinguishing any toxic substances.

Lamination is a way to decorate the surfaces of tree fiber plates with a special film.

Laminating the door at home is impossible!

Types of lamination doors

There are two types of lamination:

  1. Melamine paper (thickness 0.2 mm). DSP stove is soaked with resin, facing the film under high temperatures and pressure. The method is cheap, but the quality of the coating is low.
  2. Laminate or artificial veneer (thickness 0.4-0.8 mm). DSP plates are covered with a layered plastic, glued with a cold way. The method is expensive, the coating is characterized by high quality.

In production, by pressing, decorative film becomes one of the whole, "grows" into the material that is applied, comes with him chemical reaction. For lamination, special equipment is needed, and the process itself should pass under high pressure and temperature.

Usually, as an alternative for self-lamination of doors, a self-adhesive film is used. This process further resembles the coating method, from German - the salary is performed with more "soft" conditions. Self-adhesive laminated film makes it possible to imitate the pattern of the canvas for any material (marble, wood, stone). It can be made of wood plates, chipboard, MDF, metal. Immediately it is necessary to say that the door (at home) can be covered with film (at home), but the work of handicraft looks.

Stages of lamination doors

First, put the surface of the plate (chipboard). We remove with a spatula and putty all the irregularities and dents of the door canvase. Surfaces we wash to perfect smoothness and soil, if this is not done, all flaws will be visible on it. On the back of the film there is a mesh with a centimeter step - it makes it possible to accurately make a pattern. For work we need scissors, knife, pencil.

We unwind the film, cut the rectangle, leaving 3 cm on the edges for the allowance for protrusions and stock. We remove the paper base from the edge of the film and fix the door to the edge, gently spread it over the surface, at the same time pull out the substrate. For better smoothing, we take off the hot air under the coating, we use the usual hairdryer and smooth from the center to the edge with a soft cloth. Purify the resulting bubbles. The most difficult thing is to accurately make corners, end sides and places near the loops. For this, the material is cutting around the edges at an angle of 45 °, so it lighters easier. We glue using a hairdryer or a hot iron.

In order for the edges and the angles to look aesthetically, you can not bend the film, but gently trimmed with a knife, and stick the edge separately.

It is very important that the door will not cling to the box anywhere, otherwise the coating will quickly abandon.

The film is better to choose a one-photon, so that there is no need to level the drawing, but if you wish, you can choose with imitation texture of various materials.

No matter how hard we try, but still the handicraft execution of lamination will noticeably differ from the factory. It's hard to cope without special equipment With the deformation of the film due to temperatures, uneven fit of various roughness on the surface.

If you want to buy high-quality, at an affordable price, contact the company DM-Service LLC. You will be offered a variety of models. different sizes, design and colors.

When carrying out repair, when it comes to choosing a doorway, many often pay attention to laminated doors. But what is it and what are the advantages of such products? The answer to this question is very important, because not every material is suitable for various operating conditions.

Laminated doors have significant differences from the doors with PVC coated

Features of the product

In order to find out that the laminated door is, it is necessary to consider the features of this product in more detail. In fact, such a door is a cloth lined with a thin film, that is, laminate. In most cases, it can be easily distinguished from wooden and veneered models.

In some cases, it is possible to attribute to one category laminate and PVC. To be more accurate, polyvinyl chloride is a kind of laminating coating. However, due to the distinguished characteristics, these materials are often divided into two separate species.

How is the door with such a coating? As in any other case, the basis of the design is a canvas, made, most often from MDF. Product elements are connected to each other according to the designer idea. A film is applied on top of it with a hot pressing method. This technology avoids bundles, residual air bubbles and other defects.

Basis and filling

To better figure out the categories of such products, it is necessary to consider them in several aspects. It should be started directly from the canvas itself. Laminated doors can be made from different materials, the most popular and more or less reliable is MDF. In order to reduce the product, thin sheets are used that are stuffed on wooden frame. For the latter, a fugitive pine timber is used, as it is the easiest of all available materials.

The cheapest, but the least quality products are made of plywood or chipboard, but this option is suitable only for dry premises.

To fill the emptiness in the canvas in the simplest models, a cell filler is used tight cardboard. Such a solution allows to improve sound insulation indicators and not too weighty design. For more expensive models, a solid sheet MDF is used, it guarantees protection against noise and heat loss in the room, but the weight of the door increases several times. Some manufacturers offer cloth filled with extruded polystyrene foam.
If decorative inserts or panels are required, thin MDF, glass or mirrors are used for this purpose. Next, laminate or PVC are pasted on the prepared base.

Design of laminated door in the context

Types of film

It is from the quality of the film and its composition largely depends on the life of the product, its characteristics and appearance in general. It was after consideration of all available options will be a more understandable difference between the doors of laminated ordinary film or PVC.

So, let's look at what kind of laminate film for doors:

  • Paper. The simplest and cheap, manufactured on a paper basis. The low cost is due to low costs for the manufacture of material and its unimportant quality: such a film does not withstand moisture, contact with household chemicals, is easily moving, etc. Therefore, it is practically not used, with the exception of creating temporary partitions or for dry economic premises.
  • Melamine. It is made of multilayer paper and melamine resin impregnation. Due to this, it acquires the properties of strength, wear resistance with respect to mechanical, chemical and ultraviolet exposure. Also can be called multi-layer plastic.
  • Fiberglass.Additionally fortified film. It has excellent wear resistance characteristics to different factors of impact, however, high quality has a considerable price, and therefore it is sometimes easier to order a veneered or wooden door.
  • Double.Quite high quality, but not enough durable film. Serious mechanical effects are detly for the coating, but it is not afraid of moisture, temperature drops, household chemicals and sun rays. In addition, the material has a relatively low cost and externally might imitate veneer.
  • Polyvinyl chloride. This is the same PVC film. It is made on the basis of polymeric materials, and therefore moisture is not afraid and is able to withstand conditions of intensive exploitation. Its cost is quite attractive, moreover, a wide range of color gamut is available.

Polyvinyl chloride film is represented by a large manifold of colors and shades

Advantages and disadvantages

In order to finally understand that the laminated door is, it is necessary to consider the main advantages and disadvantages of this product.

Advantages of laminated doors:

  • Availability. Low cost and pretty simple manufacturing technology give rise to demand and supply to this category of goods.
  • Palette colors. A wide range allows you to choose the optimal option. Some species can imitate wood texture, stone, plaster and skin.
  • Moisture resistance. To greater extent, it concerns the PVC and fiberglass film, however, the models with an additional polymer coating can withstand minor moisture drops.
  • Ease. The canvas differs with a slight weight, which is especially important in conditions when the wall design is not designed for massive products.

Disadvantages of laminated doors:

  • Low reserve of coating strength. Scratches and traces of strikes are a fairly common defect of such doors.
  • Under the influence of ultraviolet can change its color over time.
  • With poor-quality blowing, the coating can be peeling.
  • The laminate on a paper basis does not withstand the impact of moisture.

For frequently used passes, as well as premises with special microclimatic conditions, laminated doors are poorly suitable and, although at a price in most cases such products do not have equal, it is better to find a more worthy alternative.

Comparison with other goods

The question often arises: what doors it is better to choose, laminated or PVC? An unambiguous answer to this question is quite difficult to give. The fact is that PVC is essentially a variety of laminated coating. But if we talk about it, as about a separate category, in most cases PVC exceeds laminate. This is a more durable and steady material, but a controversial moment occurs in the security issue. Some film is capable of separating toxic substances, but it is more dependent on the manufacturer.

If you compare CO, in terms of cost, even the most expensive laminate wins, however, focusing on other indicators, it is better to give preference to the veneer. This material is more durable and natural. In addition, the appearance of it is much more attractive.

Veneer - more durable and natural material compared to PVC

Natural tree can also be competition. But there is such a deficiency as a large weight of the canvas. In addition, only expensive breeds are considered qualitative, which not everyone can afford.

What to pay attention to when choosing

If you still decided to purchase laminated doors, approach this issue with maximum care. First of all it is worth paying attention to:

  • Basic material. If a chipboard is used, such a door is unlikely to last long, the optimal version is thin MDF with cellular filling.
  • Type of coating. Check exactly what kind of film is used: paper, PVC, melamine, etc.
  • The quality of sticking. On volumetric details, as on the canvas in general, there should be no detachals and bloats.
  • Edge. The most common defect is bundle edge or damage to the door ends.

If the door in all parameters corresponds to quality indicators, you can safely buy such a product. Do not forget to clarify the seller's coating composition to prevent toxic discharge at high temperature.

Laminated doors refer to the budget class of interroom doors. Affordable price It has led to their widespread, but good, high-quality laminated doors can cost not so cheaply - in the segment of laminated doors, there are also price gradations.

Many manufacturers of laminated doors position their products almost like the vertex of elegance, ease of use, and sometimes ecological purity. Sellers always typically draw their goods, our task is impartial in everything to understand that it is not so simple.

First of all, you need to get a set of minimal knowledge about the structure of laminated doors. Most characteristics define two factors - a film that is responsible for confrontation with small mechanical effects, abrasion resistance, burnout under ultraviolet, influence of chemicals, and the design of the door, which is covered with a film completely or in the form of individual elements. The design determines the weight and overall strength of the doors. Let's start with the types of film.

Film

What is laminate (laminatin)? The answer seemed to be known to everyone - this is a film that covers all sorts of products, in our case the doors. That's right, but there are different classes and types of film. This may be a layer of paper and cellulose fiber with impregnation of synthetic resins - a melamine film, and may be a more expensive option - PVC (polyvinyl chloride) or a durable two-dimensional laminate. The difference is very significant - it is clear that the paper (albeit with impregnation) is difficult as a coating and coating.

Film is a very important factor. On the Internet you can meet many opposite opinions about the laminated doors - in one case it is argued that they are moisture-proof, in the other - that they are afraid of water and they can only be carefully wiped with a damp cloth; Someone declares excellent resistance to abrasion, the other writes that the door is very easy to damage: bought, they say, and immediately appeared scratches. Connected confusion - because everywhere it is being done about laminated doors.
There is really no confusion - all statements are true for different species films.

May cause perplexity of another moment - the term "PVC doors" is often found in the network. As often often meets the question of what is better - laminated doors or PVC doors. The latter are usually positioned as the best, but in fact the question is a little incorrect.
First, PVC doors are delayed in the PVC film (on membrane Vacuum Press, hot pressing or other way). That is laminated. And it turns out that it is necessary to compare the types of film, not the types of laminated doors.
It is incorrect that lamination paper is usually compared with the lamination of a durable PVC film. Of course the last better!
In order to understand in such conversations and disputes what to list the types of films with brief characteristics.

  • Paper-based film - the most inexpensive option. The coating thickness is about 0.2 millimeters and it is clear that it is not necessary to talk about any strength of such lamination - chips or scratches may appear even from minor mechanical impacts. Laminated doors with such a film can burn out in the sun, covered with wrinkles when humidity appearing, about resistance to the effects of chemicals and not to speak. The process of adhesive film is called stitching (in most cases, the film is glued to the MDF), so such doors are sometimes called compatible. We note, by the way, that many do not consider stitching lamination and the logic in it.
  • Multilayer paper with impregnation from the melamine resin is at a higher level. Impregnation gives paper some qualities characteristic of plastic films - sometimes in descriptions it is positioned as a multi-layer plastic.
Interior doors with such a coating have a certain resistance to moisture drops, some chemical impacts, are not exposed to burnout under sunlightThey are strong enough and retain their original appearance for a long time.
The disadvantage of melamine doors is the melamine resin itself - there are many descriptions on the network, where it is directly indicated that the melamine film of poisonous. But at the same time everything is emerged at the level of rumors. Yes, melamine is toxic himself, but the danger of its content in interior doors is not confirmed by statistical data (at the time of writing an article). Nevertheless, this factor is worth considering.
  • The PVC film is manufactured from polyvinyl chloride compounds - widely used polymeric material. Laminated doors with PVC-coating are very common, for have good relationship Prices for user characteristics. PVC doors do not burn out in the sun, oppose the moisture drops and most household chemical compounds. The film thickness typically ranges from 0.2-0.5 millimeters. Exist different performances PVC doors, up to almost a complete quotation in the film. About that, good or bad, you can argue - the door must still breathe. But for wet premises better option can not found.
Laminated PVC doors are represented by many color and structural solutions of various manufacturers.
  • Two-volume laminatin is one of the most durable and practical types of coatings of laminated doors. This is a polymer film whose thickness ranges in the range of 0.4-0.8 mm. Doors laminated by such a film, as already mentioned, are more expensive, but they have a lot of wonderful qualities. They are not afraid of moisture drops, the effects of sun rays, have a beautiful appearance and do not lose it, they have excellent resistance to abrasion and influence of chemicals. Finally, they are perfectly opposed to mechanical effects. Because of the external similarity with natural veneer, the two-minted laminate is sometimes called artificial veneer.

Very often manufacturers use several different species Films - the edge of the doors, for example, are covered with PVC film, and the canvas - melamine laminate.
The next question is how laminated doors are made and what is inside such doors.

What inside the laminated doors

As already mentioned, in most cases laminated doors occupy the lowest price segment. It follows the inevitable conclusion - the inside of the doors is made of wood waste. It may be chipboard, MDF and other all sorts of fractions.
In most cases, the laminated door consists of a frame made from the cheapest wood (usually from pine), which is inserted into viper from the above waste. The cheapest option is the filling of a cellular type (hollow designs from cardboard in the form of bee cell cells). Various combinations of these options are possible, the use of the extruded polystyrene as a filler can not change the essence - this is in most cases the cheapest materials (in comparison with the natural wood array).

SAMI simple design
laminated doors

Now, understanding what to list the advantages and disadvantages of laminated doors. Obviously, the description of the structure is a quick and superficial, but for our purposes it is enough.

Advantages of laminated doors

    Cheapness

Corresponding dignity, but we know, due to which it is achieved.

    Conservation of nature

Filling the canvas of laminated doors is usually done from waste, and not purposefully conceded for this trees.

    Small weight

In most cases, there is a cellular design inside the laminated doors - the material is very light. And the low weight of the door is still good characteristic. Doors with a slight weight easy to remove with the loops (if the design of the latter is allowed), they do not slam in a draft so that the door frame will fly away. In the end, they don't even really clap with a family quarrel :-).

    High moisture resistance

With a high-quality PVC film and a good vaccinal sunset, this is really dignity - the door with some stretch can be called hermetic. In the case of paper films, it is impossible to conduct any moisture resistance.

    Perfectly wash

Laminated doors well and easily wash. The statement is true for doors with high-quality film. The cost of such doors will be significantly higher, thus reducing the dignity in the form of a price. But such doors are worth it.

Pretty high resistance to point power influences

And this statement is fair for high-quality doors and a good film - PVC or two-minced laminate. The banal example is to take a small metal object and put pressure on the doors from pine. In most cases, a small well or dent will remain - pine is very soft. High-quality films are durable and difficult to present the appearance of dents with the same force effect.

On this advantages of laminated doors ended, consider disadvantages.
