Folding tables are very convenient, and most importantly, practical and simple. They don't take up much space. At any moment, such a table can neatly fit in the folded form in the garage, and on occasion move back to the street. Furniture mobility is especially appreciated in small areas.

How to make a wooden garden table with your own hands

A dacha is the place where a master, carpenter, carpenter, gardener, in general, the owner wakes up in a person. Buying furniture for a suburban area is a simple matter, but not everyone can make a wooden table for a summer residence with their own hands. You should immediately be ready for what to do. garden table do it yourself for a few days. But the following tips will help you make a solid table yourself.

Today we will design a rather simple country table with our own hands in the Provencal style. These tables not only look great, but also have quite reliable design... It is worth paying attention to the boards. They must be even, since the appearance of our country table will directly depend on this.

When designing a table for a summer residence, it is necessary to prepare lumber in three dimensions:

  • Bearing frame - section 38 X 90 mm.
  • Table top - section 38 X 140 mm.
  • Supporting strips - section 19 X 64 mm.
  1. Drawing

Before starting work, the most important thing is to find on the Internet, or to make drawings of a table for a summer residence yourself. The exact schematic designation will allow you to select the lumber that will be most suitable in cross-section to the dimensions indicated in the diagram. It doesn't matter if the dimensions do not quite match each other, because you can always make a fit using an electric planer.

  1. Material preparation

When deciding how to make a garden wooden table, approach the question responsibly, since the life of the furniture will depend on this:

  • purchase of blanks. Professionals advise purchasing lumber from conifers which has been well dried beforehand. Its main advantages are:
    • price;
    • simplicity and ease of manual processing;
    • beautiful structure;
  • furniture glue;
  • 4 X 65mm screws;
  • 3mm drills;
  • drill;
  • tape measure, pencil, sandpaper for grinding.
  1. Further actions

We will need:

  • two upper transverse beams, dimensions 38 X 90 X 978 mm;
  • four legs for a country table with your own hands, 38 X 90 X 695 mm in size;
  • two bowstrings - 38 X 90 X 921 mm;
  • one longitudinal lower and one upper beam - 38 X 90 X 1575 mm and 38 X 90 X 1473 mm, respectively;
  • two pieces of braces 38 X 90 X 772 mm each;
  • worktop blanks - seven pieces, 38 X 90 X 2337 mm in size;
  • six support bars - 19 X 64 X 432 mm.

Tip: you should start working on a flat surface. It is imperative to observe the angles of joining parts. The workpieces, which will later become the legs of our country table, should be cut on both sides at an angle of 10 °. The slices must be parallel. But the blanks of the bowstring, which are similarly cut at the same angle, should be cut one towards the other.

Stage 2. The legs of our country table should be attached to the transverse beams and fasten this entire structure with screws. Each connection has two screws.

We fasten the bowstring diagonally to the leg with inside, in the same way securing the structure with two screws.

The lower beam must connect both bowstrings to each other. As mentioned above, using screws.

Further, in the upper longitudinal and transverse beams, holes are first made for a fastener called a dowel, after which we again diagonally connect the blanks of our country wooden table with the existing screws.

Tip: when connecting all the elements, use glue for extra strength. Remove excess immediately.

We put the braces on the screws.

Tip: workpieces intended for bracing should first be cut at an angle of 45 degrees

We fasten the blanks for the tabletop with our own hands with screws to the cross beams.

How to make a rectangular table for a summer residence

After developing a work plan and approving the blueprints for the dacha table, acquire all the materials needed for this project. Choose wood for outdoor use - pine, cedar, mahogany, or extruded wood. When buying, check each board: they must be perfectly level and free of any visible defects. Do not skimp on the quality of lumber, because your structure will have to withstand all weather adversities.

There are a few important points which you must take into account if you want the result obtained to correspond to a high professional level. Do not forget about the accuracy of measurement and the use of a professional tool when cutting boards and bars and drilling holes. To increase the reliability of the structure, you can additionally use waterproof glue to hold the parts together. Round off open edges with a router or sandpaper.

Attention! Dimensions are converted from inch units and may not match metric units. Choose the lumber that is as close as possible to the size. Or just customize it yourself.

Tools required for project implementation:

  • hacksaw, jigsaw;
  • milling cutter;
  • drill and drill;
  • chalk cord, tape measure, spirit level, pencil;
  • protective goggles and gloves.

Time:

  • From one day to a week depending on the chosen project. With power tools at your disposal, you can finish your job even faster - in just a few hours.

Advice:

  • A router will help to smooth the edges of wooden blocks and planks.
  • Before screwing in screws and self-tapping screws, drill pilot holes in the wooden structural elements.
  • The heads of the screwed-in self-tapping screws should not protrude above the wooden surface, and for this the entrance parts of the holes must be countersinked.
  • Do not use cracked or warped lumber.
  • Do not use excessive force when tightening the screws, otherwise the wood may crack.

Diy picnic table. Step-by-step instruction

Materials:

  • A - Legs: bars 5 × 10 cm, 106 cm long (2 pcs.), 43 cm long (2 pcs.) And 56 cm long (2 pcs.);
  • B - Frame: bars 5 × 10 cm, length 87 cm (2 pcs.);
  • C - Table top: boards 5 × 15 cm, 180 cm long (6 pcs.);
  • D - Tabletop base: boards 5 × 15 cm, 87 cm long (2 pcs.), 5 × 10 cm bars, 62 cm long (2 pcs.).

The first stage of the project is the manufacture of table legs. Saw off the blocks of the required size. You can use a circular saw to speed up the process. Smooth the edges of the sticks and sawed lines with sandpaper.

Connect the bars so that you get an X-shaped structure, and fasten them with 60 mm self-tapping screws, not forgetting to pre-drill the pilot holes. Lubricate the joints with glue. Make sure there are no gaps or gaps.

Fasten each pair of legs with a horizontal bar, using 60 mm self-tapping screws for this purpose. Cut the ends of the bars as shown in the figure.

Lay the boards for the countertop on a flat surface. We advise you to place pieces of 6 mm plywood between them, this will allow you to form even gaps. Place the assembled sides of the table on the tabletop and fix them by screwing the self-tapping screws at an angle of 90 mm. Use a spirit level to make sure the legs and table top are square before fixing.

Place the sawn pieces of 5 × 15 cm boards on the underside of the tabletop and fix them with 60 mm self-tapping screws.

Saw off the ends of the bars, which will act as reinforcing struts, at an angle of 45º. Place the props in their place and secure with 90 mm self-tapping screws screwed in at an angle.

And finally, last but not least, check if the caps of the screws are protruding above the wooden surface, and fill all the cracks and holes with wood putty.

Tip: To protect wood surfaces from the damaging effects of atmospheric moisture, coat them with several coats of outdoor paint or stain.

Table with benches. Instruction with drawings

Materials:

  • A - Legs: bars 5 × 10 cm, length 95 cm (4 pcs.);
  • B - Bars: bars 5 × 10 cm long 160 cm (2 pcs.);
  • C - Tabletop fixing: bars 5 × 10 cm, 75 cm long (5 pcs.);
  • D - Inclined supports: bars 5 × 10 cm, 84 cm long (2 pcs.);
  • E - Table top: boards 5 × 10 cm, length 180 cm (14 pcs.).

It is worth starting work with the manufacture of legs. Since the legs of this table will be inclined, the ends of the 100 cm long bars should be cut off at an angle of 30º. Connect the elements with 90 mm bolts.

Make sure the surface you are working on is level enough. The mounted sides of the table must be identical, only in this case you can hope for an excellent end result.

When the sides of the table are ready, you can start making wooden countertops... We recommend that you hammer it together on the ground (floor), and then attach it to the legs with self-tapping screws.

Tip: Be sure to check the verticality of the side walls of the table with a spirit level, otherwise the end result of your work is unlikely to satisfy you.

Secure the entire structure firmly with inclined struts. Their ends should first be cut at an angle of 26º.

Now all that remains is to build the benches. Saw off the boards of the required size, place them on both sides of the table and, having previously drilled several pilot holes at a distance of at least 1 cm from the edges, secure with self-tapping screws.

Tip: To distribute the seat boards evenly, place studs or pieces of plywood between them before attaching. With this little trick, all the gaps will be the same.

At the end of the work, pay attention to the small, but very important touches. Fill all cracks and holes with wood putty. After the filler has dried, sand the wood surfaces with medium-grit sandpaper.

Tip: Be sure to apply several coats of paint or stain to protect the wood surfaces from water and sunlight.

Round table. We do in the country on our own

Materials:

  • A - Base: 5 × 10 cm bar, 102.5 cm long (1 pc.) And 47 cm long (2 pcs.), 2.5 × 10 cm bars, 9 cm long (4 pcs.);
  • B - Racks: bars 10 × 10 cm, length 60 cm (4 pcs.);
  • C - Tabletop base: 5 × 10 cm bars, 82.5 cm long (1 pc.) And 52.5 cm long (2 pcs.), 2.5 × 10 cm bars, 47.5 cm long (4 pcs.) And 60 cm long (2 pcs.) ;
  • D - Table top: boards 2.5 × 15 cm, 195 cm long (9 pcs.).

The first stage of the project is to create the base of the table. To join its constituent elements, use waterproof glue and self-tapping screws. Make sure that the corners of the bars to be joined are straight. To protect the assembled table base from rotting when exposed to rainwater, place it on small stands made of 2.5 x 10 cm board scraps.

Now you need to attach four posts made of square bars to the base. Make sure they are vertical with a spirit level before fixing. The height of the legs may differ from that offered by us, in this case you should, first of all, be guided by your own needs.

The most difficult stage of the project is the manufacture of the countertop. Place the boards on a flat surface and mark the center of the square. Attach one end of the 60 cm rail at this point. Rotate the other end of the staff to mark the outline of the circle. A jigsaw with a sharp blade will allow you to make a circular cut at a high professional level.

After cutting the boards of the future countertop, we recommend that you fasten them together with waterproof glue and additionally fix them with several clamps. Attach the bars that serve as the base of the countertop as shown in the figure (yellow elements should be made from 5 × 10 cm bars, green ones from 2.5 × 10 cm bars).

Tip: Use waterproof glue and galvanized self-tapping screws to fix the bars to the worktop (30 mm self-tapping screws for attaching 2.5 × 10 cm bars and 50 mm for fastening 5 × 10 cm bars).

After the glue has dried, you must attach the legs to the base of the tabletop using 90mm self-tapping screws, pre-drilling the pilot holes. Use a spirit level to control the perpendicularity of the legs and table top.

For the result of your work to correspond to a high professional level, make sure that the caps of the self-tapping screws are sunk deep enough. Cover all cracks and holes with wood putty, after it dries, sand the surface with sandpaper.

Tip: Apply several coats of exterior paint or stain to protect the table from moisture breakdown. Place the table on a concrete surface and seal them tightly.

Now you know how to make a picnic table yourself. One has only to make a little effort, which will subsequently be rewarded with enthusiastic exclamations from friends and pleasant summer evenings spent with the family at a large table.

Circle - perfect figure. It is no coincidence that he has the most analogs in nature: solar circle and disk of the moon in the sky, round cutaway vegetables and fruits, annual rings on a tree cut ...

It is noted that harmonious the shape of the circle also contributes to the psychological comfort person. So, to create relaxed, informal atmosphere at a business meeting is used round table.

Round table is fine fits in any interior, be it small kitchen or a spacious living room. The lack of corners makes the table elegant, but more expensive. A budget solution would be to make him yourself. For all the seeming complexity, cutting and assembling a round table is not a problem for a home master.

Roundtable options

It would seem that everything is clear here - round table top on legs. However, manufacturers offer this diversity round tables that widen your eyes!

The first thing you pay attention to is the quantity supports. Options several:

  • one big central leg or cabinet;
  • 3 legs;
  • 4 legs;
  • several legs in the middle.

However, the number of legs design differences round tables are not limited. The table can have shelves, a curbstone, pull-out boxes and various add-ons. Like other tables, round ones are folding and sliding, as well as transformers.

Barbecue table, it is also a brazier table or a fire table.

Round folding table,

Round (roulette + card table).

Finally, material from which the round table is made. The classic option is solid wood. The wooden table looks nice and solid, looks great in both classic and modern interior.

Also for the manufacture of round tables are used such materials, how:

  • Chipboard, Chipboard;
  • MDF;
  • plywood;
  • natural or fake diamond;
  • glass;
  • plastic;
  • metal.

Round table made of wood

First you need to decide on dimensions table. It can be small, medium or large, depending on whether it is or, for example,

This takes into account such an important factor as dimensions the room for which the future table is intended.

We will manufacture small and very simple wood table with three legs.

Materials and tools

To do DIY wooden round table, you will need the following materials:

  • timber, boards;
  • joinery glue for wood;
  • metal corners(3 pcs. for each table leg);
  • self-tapping screws;
  • waterproof impregnation for varnish.

Necessary instruments:

  • pencil, ruler, meter, roulette;
  • saw, jigsaw;
  • screwdriver or screwdriver;
  • drill and drills;
  • clamps;
  • brushes;
  • Sander and sandpaper;
  • building compass.

Manufacturing steps

Step 1. We coat the sidewalls with carpentry glue boards and attach them to each other. We fasten the structure clamps. For additional table strength, you can staple boards slats from the seamy side.

Step 2. Draw circle countertops. For this we use construction compass. If it is not there, it is enough to fasten two bars with a self-tapping screw at the angle we need. Glue an awl to one bar with adhesive tape, to another - pencil... Draw a line. Then measure with a ruler or meter the resulting circle. If necessary, repeat the procedure or draw irregularities by hand.

Step 3. Electric jigsaw carefully cut out the resulting circle. If the tabletop is additionally reinforced with slats, then this procedure will take a little more time.

Step 4. Grinder we process everything surface countertops. Grinding is very thoroughly, nothing can be missed. The edges of the table are rubbed with emery medium grain paper. On the countertop and ends there should not be a single chip.

Step 5. Countertop edge edges round off up and down.

Step 6. The legs will be made of timber 40 x 40 mm. Cutting to the required length - 70 cm, we grind with a machine and sandpaper. Rounding all corners.

Step 7. On three sides, we attach to each leg metal corner. It is important to fix all corners in one plane. To do this, we put a leg on any even the surface is the place of attachment to the tabletop. We apply the corners and mark their location with a pencil. Then, in a position convenient for us, fix corners to the leg with self-tapping screws. This should be done with each leg. This will make the mount more durable because all corners will have the same position.

Step 8. We mark the location of all legs on the countertop. For a perfect match, you can turn the tabletop over and place it on its legs. We fasten the legs to the countertop.

Step 9. From bars of the same or less size, as the legs, we make jumpers. We attach them to the legs with self-tapping screws.

Step 10. We process all parts of the table water repellent impregnation at least 2 times. Drying of each layer of impregnation must be complete (8-10 hours). After that we cover the table. varnish. It is enough to apply two coats of transparent varnish, 3-4 coats of colored varnish to obtain more saturated shade.

Note: the surface of the table can be left natural, only emphasizing the natural beauty of wood, or decorated different ways.

Round glass table

An excellent option for manufacturing is hardened shockproof glass with a thickness of at least 5 mm. This glass is used to make many things, including - showers cabins.

Such glass will withstand colossal load and will not break. It can only break from point strong blow into the rib.

With this tempered glass will not scatter on the shards, but will fall many rectangular pieces that not dangerous for a person.

However, for cutting and processing hardened glass need special equipment.
At home, you can use to make a table triplex, matte or tinted, as well as ordinary glass. If cutting glass is not your strong point, it would be better to entrust this work specialist. He is professional carve out countertop of the required diameter.

Attention: cutting tempered glass yourself may damage the material.

Manufacturing steps

Step 1. Draw on a sheet of glass circle. This can be done with compasses, sticking in the middle suction cup and sticking a needle into its center. Another option could be sample, cut from a piece of Whatman paper or other material. We apply it to the glass and circle marker.

Step 2. Turn the glass over facial side and clean it from dirt. Wipe a soft cotton or microfiber cloth. The glass surface must be clean and dry.

Step 3. We lay a sheet of glass on a flat solid surface. In this case, we push the edge close to the edge of the surface. Begin cut from the farthest point of the marked circle. Cutting is carried out in one continuous movement. If used roller glass cutter, then first you need to dip it in butter(for example, machine). Then we draw around the entire perimeter the lines from the edge of the circle to the ends of the sheet. It should turn out Sun.

Step 4. Place a soft cloth or towel under the circle and gradually break off all the "rays".

Step 5. We clean under running water edge the resulting circle. The water will soften the machining of the glass. Large indentations are removed with file, the rest is sanded with coarse, medium and fine sandpaper. The file can be wetted in kerosene(turpentine).

Step 6. For grinding, you need drill or a grinder with a special attachment. Glued to the nozzle first sandpaper with coarse grain. Then you need to walk around with medium-grit sandpaper and finish sanding with fine-grit sandpaper. Necessarily round off edge edges (top and bottom).

Note: the edge is processed at low speeds to prevent the glass from overheating.

Step 7. We polish the countertop using a circle made of felt and polishing paste. If the glass is frosted, then polishing is carried out without paste.

Step 8. We take as supports for our table chrome plated legs with dimes, which are glued to the tabletop with a special glue, curing UV lamp. In this way, you can fix the legs from any material.

Another way fixing the table top to the legs: drill holes in the countertop for dimes using a special drilling crowns with abrasive spraying (sold in any hardware store). In this case, it is necessary to mark the location of the legs. To drill did not move from the intended place, you need to stick around the glass with plasticine and pour water there or cut out a bar slightly smaller in size to the crown and shove it inside. When drilling continuously pour on a glass of water or wet the crown.

One more option - to make from chipboard circle the same diameter as the worktop, and insert screws with suction cups. Such a connection holds much better if it is glued not with a simple glass glue, but with a UV lamp glue.

Attention: carry out all work on cleaning and processing glass in protective gloves or mittens.

Product finishing

Decorate the finished product can be done in various ways. Each of them will make the most ordinary table. unique, an author's thing and will emphasize the individuality of its owner.

Decorating the table will help more harmoniously fit it into the general interior rooms.

In addition, using right selected decor you can adjust slips in the processing of a wooden surface, hide or somehow beat darkening glass table top.

Wood the table can be decorated in the following ways:

  • painting;
  • mosaic;
  • marquetry(inlaid with veneer, wooden mosaic);

  • craquelure(artificial aging of the surface).

Registration techniques glass table:

  • photo printing;
  • stained glass painting;
  • sandblasting treatment;
  • fusing;
  • decorating with various fillers.

How to make a wooden round table with your own hands, see video:

Not only in the country, but also in the apartment, furniture made by yourself can serve as a real interior decoration. And making, for example, a round table with your own hands is not at all difficult. In this case, you can take into account the sizes that are necessary for you. And then the whole family can gather on the veranda or in the living room for a festive dinner or evening tea. It is only necessary to decide in advance with the upcoming front of work.

Figure 1. Diagram of a round wooden table.

Preliminary stages of installation

Many novice craftsmen have a question about how to make a round table on their own. It is believed that this shape of the countertop is difficult to manufacture. But if you know some of the nuances and tricks of the upcoming work, then even a novice carpenter can handle the assembly. First of all, you need to decide on the design of future furniture. A drawing of the simplest for self assembly table is shown in Fig. 1.

In this case, the furniture consists of the following elements:

  • one-piece table top;
  • platter (bundle under the countertop);
  • transverse strips (stiffeners) - 2 pcs.;
  • legs - 4 pcs.

In the diagram shown, the cross bars are simply superimposed on each other and fixed to each other. If you make the legs of the furniture long enough, then sitting people will not touch them with their knees. But a more reliable fastening will turn out if you put one bar into another, forming corresponding grooves in them.

Figure 2. Assembly diagram of the round table parts.

In addition, one bar can be composed of two parts. Then the crossbars are fixed to each other with corners and they are also attached to the tabletop. In this case general construction it turns out to be stable, but not too beautiful.

A separate drawing is required for the manufacture of the countertop and support for it. An example of this is shown in Fig. 2.

You can provide your own dimensions and make the necessary adjustments to the table layout. But cutting out such a tabletop is quite difficult. It is much easier to go to a workshop. Experienced master will make parts of any shape according to your size.

If you decide to make a round table yourself, then you must first draw the desired part on the wood, then drill along the entire diameter of the hole (at a distance of 5-7 mm from each other). And only then saw the element by inserting the jigsaw blade into the first hole. In this case, it is easier to use a power tool.

Required materials and tools

The easiest way is to make a table with your own hands from MDF sheet or thick enough plywood. In this case, the thickness of the material should not be less than 35 mm. Instead of plywood, you can use a ready-made furniture board, but in this case, the cost of the entire product will increase significantly.

Figure 3. Drawing of the round table top.

The lower disc, which serves as the basis for attaching the legs and connecting the structure to the table top, is cut from plywood 20-30 mm thick. This will be enough to securely fix all the elements together and not damage the tabletop. Transverse strips are cut from the same sheet.

The legs are made of a bar with a section of 12x5 cm. If you take standard bar, the length of which is 3.5, then 4 legs of 76 cm each can be obtained from one workpiece. This size is considered optimal.

To process parts and mount the table, you will need the following tools:

  • an electric drill and a set of drills for woodworking;
  • jigsaw;
  • grinder or special drill attachment;
  • a set of hex keys of different sizes;
  • screwdrivers;
  • a set of sandpaper of different grain sizes;
  • paint brushes and foam roller.

For additional reliability, experts recommend that all attachment points and mounting assemblies be coated with carpentry glue or PVA. In this case, the fixed parts must be tightened with clamps and left until the adhesive is completely dry. And only then continue editing.

Assembling the round table

First, you need to cut out all the blanks for assembling the table. Experienced carpenters advise each of the elements to be pre-processed in 4 steps. Polish first wooden surface, then varnish it. And after drying, repeat the operation.

The fact is that even after a very careful initial grinding, wood fibers can begin to bristle under the varnish layer. It can mess up appearance table, and subsequently burrs form on the surface. If you are not going to varnish the furniture, but to cover it with a stain, then the procedure must be repeated 3 times.

After the blanks are completely dry, you can start assembling the table. The general assembly diagram is shown in Fig. 3.

First, the legs are fixed to the platter. Ordinary self-tapping screws can be used as fasteners.

But the design will turn out to be more reliable and stable if you take confirms (Euro bolts).

Then the table will be able to withstand a heavy load.

But it is wiser to take not standard, but elongated mounts (0.5x18 mm). The legs are secured with 4 bolts. You must first prepare the nests for confirmations. First, the plane is drilled out, and then the end. In the first case, the diameter of the nest should be 0.8 cm, and in the second, 0.5 cm.

Next, the table top and crossbars are formed. The diameter of these parts depends on the dimensions of the standard workpiece. The side length of regular plywood is 1.5 m. Therefore, the outer diameter of the support element is 128 cm, and the inner diameter is 104 cm. The legs are installed with the flat part inward. Accordingly, the dimensions of the plank will be 12x106 cm.

Since ancient times, round tables have been considered a symbol of equality and unification of all those present. The round table is easy to use and practical - there are no problems and questions about who will sit on the corner. Massive oak tables are luxurious pieces of furniture, but they are not always convenient for daily use.

A round table is usually made from oak or pine.

A great option is to make a folding round table with your own hands, which can be adjusted in size and folded from time to time so that it does not take up space in a small room.

How to make a round table for your home?

To prepare the shape of the table, you need the following materials and tools:

  • ruler;
  • pencil;
  • scissors;
  • glue;
  • large compass;
  • whatman.

The material from which the table will be made can be absolutely any. If you are new to this business, you can use conifers, and if you have already dealt with wood and know how to work extremely accurately and efficiently, use oak or mahogany.

We connect several large sheets (whatman paper) with the help of PVA glue. Now, with the help of a compass, draw the circle you need in size.

If you do not have a suitable compass, you can use any round element or make a compass from 2 bars or sticks, attaching a pencil on one of them, and an awl (or any sharp object) on the other.

When you have a flat drawing, cut off any excess paper (do not throw it away, you will still need it!). Fold the resulting circle in half 4 times so that the circle is divided into 8 small triangles. Now we retreat from the bases of the triangles by 5-6 cm and connect the points with straight lines along the entire circumference.

How to make a table with your own hands out of wood? First, study the photos of approximate models in order to decide exactly which wooden table you will have in the end. A round sliding table is a great idea for a summer residence, it will even fit into a gazebo. However, for a folding table, a more complex tabletop is made. For this reason, we will make the table with the simplest design.

1. Prepare the worktop 2. We make parts for the base 3. We make these parts (3 pcs.) 4. Then, using self-tapping screws, we fasten the parts in this way
As a result, you should get 2 blanks for the base. 5. We make the legs 6. Assemble the lower part of the table 7. Then we attach the legs to the base
8. Paint the blanks 9. Paint the top 10. Fix the table top 11. Mark the center on the table top
12. Drill a hole in the center of the tabletop 13. Fix the cover in the center with a screw 14. For greater reliability, fix the tabletop with screws in several more places. Done

We take the boards, smear them with glue and put them together. In this case, we resort to using metal elements. If you want the restored table to be more sturdy, the pickets are fixed with slats on the back. We arm ourselves with a compass and draw round elements that define the shape of the product. If you do not have a compass, we fasten the blocks with self-tapping screws at the required slope.

Using duct tape, fix the awl and pencil and draw a small circle. We saw the resulting pattern with a jigsaw. In order to make it easier for yourself, do not fix the tabletop with slats. The surface is carefully sanded, do not miss a centimeter. Sandpaper the edges, and round the edges down.

We cut out the legs from the bars. We turn the old table upside down and mark the places for the legs. We will fix them with self-tapping screws. Do not forget about the lintels made of wood. They are also fixed with self-tapping screws. At the last stage, we treat the product with impregnation several times. At the same time, let each layer dry well. We paint the finished table. Transparent varnish can be done with two coats, and for colored varnish you need four coats to give saturation.

As you can see, making tables with your own efforts is not difficult. Not only that, it fascinating process which will give you new skills.
