Design and assembly of a chipboard desktop with wall mounting. How to make a table from chipboard with your own hands Do-it-yourself coffee table from chipboard

Your choice in favor of chipboard will help to embody all exclusive ideas due to the budget option.

Independent work is full of pleasant bonuses, some of which are: freedom of choice, the ability to take into account the layout of the room, its interior and the wishes of the customers (especially if it is you), as a result of which you have received an easy-to-use design.

In addition, this is an excellent realization of creative potential, obtaining new skills that are useful in everyday life.

Chipboard and chipboard are widely used in furniture production, also in the manufacture of exhibition stands, interior decoration of supermarkets, pharmacies, shops. The reason for this whole line advantages possessed by these materials:

Such material will not exfoliate suddenly and will not disintegrate due to increased moisture in the room. Even during processing, it will retain its original appearance, therefore you can safely screw in dowels and screws.

Chipboard is characterized by a too primitive type of low-grade raw material, but laminated chipboard (chipboard) covered with a resistant melamine film has every chance to pass for natural wood, thereby increasing the aesthetic level of visiting without special costs.

When planning the creation of the above materials, you should take into account all the negative aspects. First of all, it is their toxicity (formaldehyde content). The second indicator can be dubious strength.

Advice... When buying, you should carefully inspect the tile on both sides, perhaps even try to press in with a screwdriver to make sure that it will not work to press the object into the surface.

Drawing

Suppose that you have enough space in your apartment or office so that you can “walk around”, so we will make a table 736 cm long and 536 cm wide.

It can serve as a dining table in the living room, and as a storage surface for fashion magazines, books and other stationery.

But most importantly, there will be enough space on it (as many as 3 tabletops) to place all the necessary things that should remain at hand.

So, the table will consist of:

  • countertops;
  • strips (4 pcs.);
  • shelves (2 pcs.);
  • rubber wheels (4 pcs.);
  • plastic corners (4 pcs.);
  • confirmations (8 pcs.);
  • self-tapping screws 3.5 * 16 (16 pcs.);
  • melamine edging or ABS.

You should start with development drawing, taking into account all the points (area of space, available materials, further purpose of use). Finished patterns of the base and legs must be attached to the chipboard sheet. This is done so that it is convenient to trace the contours of the future product with a pencil or pen, after which, for greater clarity of the drawn boundaries, we scratch with a nail.

All the same parts must be mirror similar, and this is easy enough to achieve. The 1st part can act as a template for cutting out all the others. After that, it is worth adding up all the elements to make sure there are no inconsistencies.

If we want not to deviate from the classics, then to create a coffee table we need to cut out 3 tabletops (the 1st will be the surface of the table, the 2nd and 3rd will become the bottom shelves).

During drawing, the properties of the material should be taken into account so that later you do not have to grind the flaws visible to the naked eye.

Tools and fasteners

So, to create the perfect table with our own hands, we need an easy-to-understand drawing with all dimensions, materials and tools:

  • hammer, level;
  • electric drill with drills;
  • jigsaw;
  • screwdrivers, files;
  • hacksaw;
  • transparent varnish and brush;
  • hardware;
  • square, pencil, ruler and tape measure.

How to do it?

To keep the room where the work is carried out clean and not dusty, you should spread newspapers, wallpaper, or cardboard on the floor surface, and upon completion of the process, collect and discard.

Important... All elements of the future product should be carefully cleaned.

How to paint?

Our table is almost ready. The case is small - cover it with clear varnish... But, again, it all depends on the state of the newly created object, and what you want to do with it: refresh or give the look of antiquity.

Important... Measure the area of the facade, multiply it by 2, because you have to apply a layer of the substance twice for an even coverage. Also, be sure to purchase rubber gloves to help keep your hands clean.

Chipboard products before painting need treat with impregnations deep penetration, so the glue in the sawdust will stop evaporating harmful substances, and the surface will become more moisture resistant.

Do not rush to cover the front of the table, first check the selected chemical composition on the neutral (invisible) side of the slab. After the first application, pause to let the liquid dry, then fix the result.

Advice... It is better to paint in a non-residential area, or on a balcony / loggia, so the persistent smell will disappear from the apartment much faster without causing a headache for its inhabitants.

After complete drying, proceed with the assembly of the structure.

Conclusion

Thus, spending a little free time and money, as a result, you get a compact, convenient and versatile table that will become indispensable in any situation at home or at work.

Over time, you can complicate your own technique by choosing interesting patterns or mosaics instead of the usual varnishing. The main thing to remember is that you should not be afraid of your own mistakes, because everything is fixable, and even failures, with a very good desire, can be beaten, turning them into a unique "highlight".

Kitchen table do it yourself - this is both an opportunity to save money, and a way to provide the kitchen with unique furniture that fits perfectly into the existing space. However, it is important to correctly determine the dimensions and shape of the future structure.

How to make a wooden dining table

A solid wood table is beautiful, natural and, as a rule, expensive. But buying such a table is not necessary, because you can make it yourself with no less quality and for much less money.

So, to make a dining table with your own hands, you will need:

  1. 4 things. legs-balusters for the table, 73 cm high and not too thin;
  2. For countertops: 4 dry edged wooden planks 1 m long (for a table 60 cm wide);

  1. For the frame: 2 boards 80 cm long and 2 boards 40 cm long.

Prepare tools: a plane, a grinder or grinder, jigsaw for cutting boards, circular saw, drill (with 8 mm drill), screwdriver, sandpaper, self-tapping screws (30 mm), wood glue, dowels, clamps (desirable). And of course a pencil, tape measure, gloves and goggles come in handy.

To finish the table, you will need varnish, stain or paint along with a primer. First, let's make the countertop. To do this, you need to fit all 4 boards as accurately as possible to the same length - 100 cm. If your boards were not sawn on a sawmill, then they must also be trimmed in width and thickness. Then they need to be carefully sanded with a plane. The better you sand the wood, the smoother the countertop will be. Finish the edges well so that the boards fit as tightly as possible to each other.

We will not connect the boards with self-tapping screws and nails, but with glue and dowels (chopiks). To do this, make the same marks on the edges of all boards with a step of 10-15 cm and drill holes for the dowels with an 8 mm drill. Then sand the edges and apply wood glue to them and into the holes made. Now we drive the chopiki processed with the same glue into the holes and, in turn, connect all 4 bars. Remove excess glue on the surface with sandpaper and grind it, as well as all edges with a plane. At this stage, you can walk on the countertop with a metal sponge to give the wood texture.

So, the table top is ready. Now you need to fasten the legs and make a base for it.

To do this, you need to evenly fasten the balusters with short transverse boards with glue and screws. The glue dries for at least 12 hours.

We attach the legs to the long crossbars and drill holes in them in order to later install the tabletop.

After the glue in the frame dries up, you can start installing the countertop on it (frame).

If you want to make the table longer and wider, then you need to strengthen the table with two additional cross bars, as shown in the photo.

So, the table is almost ready, it remains only to process it with varnish or stain, or paint it, having previously primed it.

What color to paint the table? Build on personal preference and the color of the rest of the furniture. Below is the most versatile option - the table top and legs are stained.

You can watch the main mistakes of wood staining with your own hands in this video.

If you like gloss, then the surface of the table can be covered with a stain, and on top - with varnish (example in the photo below), or simply varnished.

You can paint the legs in White color, and cover the countertop with stain to get the design as in the next photo.

How to make a kitchen table from chipboard

A do-it-yourself kitchen table made of laminated chipboard is a practical and budget solution. Such countertops are covered with decorative plastic that is resistant to abrasion. In a typical version, the dimensions of the tabletop canvas are 3000x600x36 (26) mm, but today it will not be difficult to purchase a chipboard sheet, sawn to the required dimensions, or agree in a furniture workshop to sell a suitable trim.

You will also need:

  • Connecting and end strips;
  • End edges;
  • Screeds.

Even if you purchase a worktop of suitable dimensions, you will need to additionally process the ends - this will make the result more attractive, as well as protect the base from moisture. For these purposes, you can use a special furniture edging based on polyvinyl chloride or glue an edging tape. The edging option is considered more practical for dining table and suitable for DIYers.

For the kitchen table, you will also need appropriate supports - you can buy the legs separately or give preference to a ready-made base. It all depends on what option your drawings provide. The most common option is round legs D = 60 mm and a height of 71 cm. They can be collapsible, adjustable in height, and also differ in design - matte, painted, shiny.

In our case, these will be chrome-plated shiny legs-rods with a diameter of 60 mm, as well as a table top made of white chipboard with a thickness of 36 mm and a white plastic mortise T-shaped edging with girths is matched to it.

So, how to make a dining table with a chipboard top:

  1. The markings are applied to the material according to the drawing. At the corners, the curvatures must have a radius of 60 mm.

  1. The table top is shaped with a jigsaw.

A saw with reversible teeth should be used, otherwise the plastic coating may chip. First, the corner of the chipboard is cut off with a jigsaw with a margin of 2 mm, and then it is finally rounded off with a grinder.

  1. A groove is milled for the furniture edge.

  1. The edging is stuffed. Before this, the ends of the product must be covered silicone sealant... The sealant is applied both to the edging and to the top edge of the countertop. A rubber mallet is used to stuff the edging. Then the excess sealant is removed.

  1. Legs are attached. To do this, markings with a pencil are made on the back of the tabletop. In most cases, the legs are placed 100 mm from the edge.

For fastening the holders, self-tapping screws with a countersunk head about 20 mm long are used. After that, the legs are put on the holders and fixed with a hex wrench - that's all, your new table ready.

How to correctly determine the dimensions

According to the principles described above, tables can be made larger or smaller in length and width. How to choose the best size for your family?

If we are talking about a standard kitchen with dimensions from 6 to 8 squares, then the drawings will show a typical construction with a height of 750 mm and a perimeter of 800 * 500 ... 1200 * 600 mm.

A do-it-yourself dining table should be designed for a certain number of people. Usually it corresponds to the number of tenants - 3-9, but a couple of free places are still added for guests. For large companies good decision will become.

Calculations are carried out as follows: the number of persons is multiplied by 60 ("working" perimeter per person). As for the width of the countertop, here we follow the recommendations of experts - its optimal values are from 800 to 1100 mm. Narrow tables difficult to serve, and wide ones are uncomfortable for those who are seated.

If you decide to make the kitchen table with your own hands oval (round), then you will have to calculate the circumference - diameter * 3.14.

Form selection rules

The shape of the kitchen table plays a significant role in the perception of space. Universal design - rectangle or square with right angles. It is balanced and can be installed close to a wall or in the center of a room, saving space.

Oval models are also quite comfortable and beautiful, but they do not differ in their large capacity - the largest product will fit no more than 8 people. In addition, they require large areas - more than 8 sq. meters, because you can't put them against the wall.

It can also be called a versatile and traditional option, suitable for both very and large kitchens. But it has less capacity than a rectangular table.

The best option is a rectangular table with rounded corners. We have already described how to make just such a chipboard table with our own hands.

Furniture care rules

After the dining table is made, you will need to take care of the long operational period of the product.

So, furniture made of wood, polished and lacquered, needs careful maintenance, since it can easily be scratched. In addition, traces of contact with hot are possible here. As a basic wood care, a universal polishing compound is selected.

If we are talking about a countertop made of MDF or chipboard with a plastic coating, then caring for it is not difficult and consists in regular washing with detergents.

Do not forget to move the kitchen furniture away from heating appliances and from the walls bordering the street. Harmful for wooden furniture there will be direct sunlight.

Today I will tell you about how to make a coffee table with your own hands. In principle, it is not as difficult as it seems, you just need to have all the necessary tools and desire. And for work we need this:

  • furniture board or laminated chipboard;
  • jigsaw;
  • electric drill;
  • roulette;
  • pencil and ruler;
  • clamps;
  • decorative edge and iron;
  • different fasteners;
  • rollers;

Do-it-yourself coffee table on wheels

So how can we make a coffee table with your own hands at the lowest cost and at the same time so that it has the original shape?

First of all, we turn on our imagination and come up with the shape of the table, then we draw its diagram and determine the size. I came up with my own coffee table scheme and this is how its drawing will look like.

Coffee table layout

The dimensions of the top cover of my future piece of handmade furniture are 75x55 cm, and the bottom one is 65x45 cm. The side parts have an arbitrary figured configuration. The middle shelf will serve as a stiffener with dimensions of 55x25 cm. Coffee table height will be equal to 50 cm without taking into account the height of the casters. Having marked out all the elements on the plate using templates, you can start cutting them out.

We mark the chipboard slab

So that when cutting with a jigsaw, as few chips are formed as possible, you need to forcefully draw a sharp knife along the cutting lines several times.

To cut a chipboard slab, we use a file with the smallest tooth and set a reduced jigsaw speed. When working, we try to keep the jigsaw straight along the cutting line, excluding the appearance of a wave. If one does appear, then you can trim the cut with a rasp, using the movement "away from you". So, we first cut out the rectangular parts of the coffee table with our own hands.

We cut the rectangular parts of the chipboard

Then we proceed to the side ones. To make both sides exactly the same, we will cut them out together. To do this, we fold two blanks "facing" each other and tighten all this with clamps. Then, according to the template, we apply the markings and cut out the outer stroke. For sawing inside the workpieces, holes with a diameter of at least 10 mm must be drilled in the corners of the drawing. Insert the jigsaw file into the hole and start sawing. This way we get rid of the inner regions and get the same sides.

We cut out the inner parts of the sidewalls

All our component parts of the table are ready, now we need to glue all the cuts with a decorative furniture edge (and if we slightly modernize this one, then the edge of the table will look much more decorative). This is done with a hot iron. Place the tape with the glue side on the cut and align it relative to the edges. Then, holding it, iron it on top with a hot iron. So we do it with our own hands with all the external and internal cuts of the elements of the coffee table.

We glue the decorative edge

If the tape is wider than the end of the plate, then cut off the excess part with a sharp knife, and gently blot the tape cut with stain (you can use an ear stick).

Now we mark the places of attachments for the middle part of the table - the shelves and sides. The fixing here will be special screws for furniture - confirmations. Given the special structure of this fastener, a special drill will be needed to drill the holes for it. If there is none, then you can use the three usual ones: under the screw part, under the expanded part and under the head. By drilling the holes, you can fasten the shelf and sidewalls.

Putting the middle part of the coffee table

Next, we will attach the made middle part to the top cover. To do this, we will put our elements in the position in which they should be in the already finished table and mark the places for metal corners and holes for screws. Then we will fasten these parts of our table.

We fasten the middle to the top cover

We turn the coffee table over with our own hands and in the same way we connect the structure with the bottom cover using the same furniture metal corners. Next, we put our table on wheels. We mark the installation locations of the rollers on the underside and fasten them with screws.

We fasten the wheels

That's all! Our handmade coffee table is ready! On New Year's holidays, you can successfully put on it such a romantic dinner or serve it beautifully. In practical cases, it will perfectly accommodate the stationery, which we did in one of the master classes. Like this, without applying much effort and without calling for help from specialists, and even more so without spending family budget, you can get a very useful piece of furniture.

Our original coffee table

By the way, such a piece of furniture can be used for further decoration - decoupage, painting or applique, it all depends on you and your desire to decorate the interior of the room.

How to make a table from chipboard with your own hands: step-by-step assembly instructions with explanations

Planning to put together a table that's beautiful, durable and easy to use? It is not difficult to assemble such furniture, provided that it is made of chipboard. Here's a simple step-by-step guide to making a stylish modern table. In addition, I will talk about what particleboard is and what you need to know when working with this material.

Determine the shape and dimensions

The configuration and dimensions of the table determine its functional purpose. Again, it depends on the size and shape in which rooms it is advisable to install and operate this furniture. Depending on the functional purpose of the tables, their standard sizes are provided.

Advantage self assembly lies in the possibility of making furniture not according to the standard, but in accordance with individual preferences and anthropomorphic characteristics of a person.

Illustrations Standard dimensions and configuration

Simple writing desk... This classic version has a standard height of 700-800 mm. The length of the table top is from 1200 mm and more, the width is 600 mm. The working part has a rectangular shape, for the safety of operation the corners can be rounded.

Corner table... Such a modification can be one-piece with a table top made of one chipboard plate or a composite one assembled from two separate parts located at right angles to each other.

Furniture with an L-shaped configuration is often used as a computer double table in offices and workrooms. However, corner table it is often used as a dining room in small kitchens.

Corner structures are available with standard height, the only difference from other modifications is the smaller width of the table top.

Furniture for kitchen... Modifications oriented for placement in the kitchen can be free-standing, back-to-wall and corner.

Width and length different models may vary while the height remains standard from 750 to 800 mm.

The standardization of the height not only ensures the comfort of using the furniture, but also allows the table to harmoniously fit into the ambiance of the kitchen.

Pick up tools and materials

Select materials... For the manufacture of furniture, two types of chipboard are used - chipboard and laminated chipboard. Chipboard is a chipboard without external finishing, and chipboard is a plate laminated with a protective decorative coating.

When choosing materials, we give preference to chipboard, since it is not easy to laminate a chipboard on our own. The optimum chipboard thickness for assembling household furniture is 18 mm.

In addition to the main material, you will need an edge band for gluing the end cut of the countertop. The use of edging tape is due not only to aesthetic considerations, but also to environmental safety.

Despite the fact that modern particle boards comply with E1 class, in order to minimize formaldehyde emissions, particle boards must be covered on all sides with vinyl or other sealed coatings. By gluing the end of the countertop and other details in the table structure with an edge, we reduce the likelihood of fumes and make the atmosphere in our home healthier.

Select tools... To work with chipboards, you will need a standard set of carpentry tools, namely a circular saw for longitudinal and face cuts, an electric drill with a set of drills, a screwdriver, and a router. In addition to carpentry tools, you will need an iron for gluing the edge band.

Select fasteners... In addition to materials and tools, you will need fasteners with which you can assemble the table. Traditional fasteners for assembling furniture from chipboard are confirmations (self-tapping screws with an increased thread pitch), corners (L-shaped fastening plates), self-tapping screws for wood, wooden dowels, carpentry glue.

Make a table with a surface without additional cladding

In order to make a table completely from chipboard, we follow exactly step by step instructions... Upcoming work can be divided into the following stages: selection of a drawing, cutting material into parts, furniture assembly and finishing finished construction.

Let's consider the listed stages in more detail.

Illustrations Assemble the table (step by step instructions)

Select drawing... There are many varieties of chipboard tables, but if the assembly is performed for the first time, I recommend stopping at a simple option.

The drawing shows a home table, which, despite its simplicity of design, looks stylish, modern and at the same time is highly durable.

The design has standard sizes, the distance from the top of the countertop to the floor is 80 cm, which means that such furniture can be used when arranging a kitchen, living room or study.

Make parts from chipboard... In accordance with the drawing, we carry out cut laminated chipboard... The table top, elements of the lower frame and the frame of the table top, elements in the structure of the supports are cut out.

Assemble the countertop... The board, prepared for the assembly of the countertop, is laid on a flat surface. A frame made of transverse and longitudinal strips is attached along the perimeter of the shield. Fasteners are made with 25 mm self-tapping screws for wood.

Holes with a diameter of 5 mm are drilled along the perimeter of the workpiece with a step of 20 cm for fastening the reinforcing frame.

Fasten the edging tape... The end edge of the countertop is cleaned of wood dust. Then, over the end, the edge tape is warmed up and smoothed.

Since the total thickness of our worktop is 18 18 = 36 mm, we use a 40 mm edging tape to cut off the excess along the edge with a sharp knife.

Make blanks for fastening... We insert eccentric minifix fasteners into the previously drilled holes, on which the tabletop frame will be fixed.

Assemble the reinforcing frame... From the previously prepared parts, we assemble the frame, which will be attached from the bottom of the tabletop.

WITH inside of the frame, we drill recesses for the counterpart of the eccentric fastening. We drill the holes so that their center coincides with the location of the fasteners in the lower part of the tabletop.

Make side posts... We assemble 4 supports from laminated chipboard strips with a width of 100 mm.

The assembly of parts is carried out for confirmation. The only thing important condition- the assembled supports in the cross-section must form a right angle.

Fix the supports to the frame... At the corners of the frame, we lean against the previously prepared supports and fasten them to the self-tapping screws.

In order not to spoil appearance the table screws are screwed in from the inside of the frame. For each support we make fasteners from 10 self-tapping screws.

Work with plastic... In the design of modern furniture, plastic parts are indispensable. In our case, we fasten plastic pads to the ends of the supports. The plates are installed with self-tapping screws 25 mm long.

Attach the frame to the worktop... The frame with fixed supports is installed on top of the prepared worktop.

The counterpart of the eccentric connection is inserted into the holes in the frame. Further minifixes, previously installed in the countertop, are threaded through the holes in the frame. The eccentrics are scrolled with a screwdriver to fix the minifixes.

Finish assembly... At the final stage of the assembly, we close the holes made for fasteners with decorative plugs.

When choosing a material, buy the highest density chipboard you can find. The denser the slab, the easier and smoother it is to cut and the easier it is to grind it later. Dense material is heavier and can be distinguished by this feature.

Particle board cutting is carried out in a dry room. This is because the wood chips absorb moisture and when cutting the raw material will flake and crack along the edge.

For cutting chipboard we use cutting tools with small undivided teeth. If there is no special cutting power tool, we use a hand hacksaw for metal. When cutting the material, lubricate the hacksaw blade with machine oil.

We only drill holes with sharp drills. First, we drill a small diameter hole, and then expand it to the required diameter.

If you are working with chipboard for the first time, there is a reason to order cutting of materials from the seller for an additional fee. That is, when buying material, you give your drawings and get a ready-made kit, from which it will remain to assemble the furniture.

Cover the chipboard with your own hands

Let's say you do not have the opportunity to purchase laminated particle boards, but you have ordinary chipboards without decorative coating. How to decorate the slabs on top so that they are both beautiful and environmentally friendly?

Actual ways:

  • Paint. Plates with a grainy texture are putty, leveled, primed and painted with a continuous layer of paint.
  • Cover with vinyl film... This method involves performing the same steps as when painting, only instead of paints and varnishes a layer of vinyl self-adhesive is applied.
  • Paste with wallpaper... The chipboard worktop is primed and dense vinyl wallpapers... If the wallpaper is paper, you will have to apply a protective layer of varnish on top of it.

Restore a chipboard table

Sooner or later, the laminated flooring on the particle board wears out, scratches and ultimately requires restoration. Among the common methods of repairing old chipboard tables, I note the following:

  • Eliminate minor cosmetic defects... Small scratches can not be leveled, but only painted over with a matching pencil or felt-tip pen.
  • Partially stain... If the surface of the particle board is solid, simply match the spray paint and apply it over the cosmetic defect.
  • Repaint furniture completely... If most of the table is frayed and unpresentable, wash the surface with solvent and paint in a couple of continuous coats.
  • Refresh with vinyl self-adhesive... It is very simple and effective method- buy the self-adhesive that you like and evenly cover the table surface.

Self-adhesive is thin and with poor surface preparation, defects will show through the film. Therefore, the sub-surface must be thoroughly cleaned and leveled prior to restoration.

Let's summarize

Now you know how to make a table out of chipboard yourself, which will harmoniously fit both into the surroundings of the dacha and into the interior of a city apartment. You can find more interesting information on the topic by watching the video in this article.

Faced with the choice of furniture for the kitchen and living room, many craftsmen do not run to the store, but decide to make a table from chipboard according to their own tastes. This method is both faster and relatively cheaper. Even with minimal do-it-yourself skills, you can do homemade table... In addition to the obvious advantages, the table will stand out due to its exclusivity. Everything you need for work can be found in the house.

The process of making furniture with your own hands is filled with pleasant bonuses. The craftsman chooses the design himself, takes into account the layout of the apartment - and there is no need to go to furniture stores with a tape measure in hand! A person fully reveals his own creative potential, deriving a lot of benefits in terms of costs and in acquiring new skills. Consider the process of making two tables: a large kitchen table and a small coffee table in the living room.

How to make a table in the kitchen from chipboard with your own hands

The kitchen table is the most used of all furniture in the home. It is for him that people eat, spending most of their time talking. The table must be visually attractive and durable. Chipboard is an ideal material for kitchen furniture, since its advantages lie in practicality and a long service life. Plus it is a lightweight material that is easy to process and create a complete kitchen table.

Table drawing

You can make a drawing of the table with your own hands - absolutely according to your own preferences, or use the template we have proposed.

IMPORTANT! It is imperative to take into account the dimensions for the blanks as in independent scheme and by ready-made templates... Otherwise, there will be an opportunity - the finished table will be smaller or larger than the required size.

Consider the simplest table with a wide but small table top, four legs and reinforcing supports.

Required tools and blanks

The first step is preparation necessary tools... For fruitful work you will need:

  • drill or screwdriver - it is better to take small models so that the attachment points look nice;
  • circular saw, milling cutter and jigsaw;
  • auxiliary tools: level, square, tape measure, drills, countersinks;
  • set of hex keys;
  • hand saw for wood;
  • conductor.

IMPORTANT! The main work on sawing and preparation of workpieces is best done outdoors (for example, in the garage). So the level of noise and pollution will not affect the house.

To assemble a dining table from chipboard, you will need the following parts:

  • 4 side racks (74x46 cm);
  • table top (95x56 cm);
  • support frame for the table top (2 pcs. 3x5 cm: length 72 cm, 2 pcs. 30 cm);
  • 10 furniture corners;
  • bottom brace (4x3.5 cm: length 74 cm).

All blanks are cut from chipboard sheets. In addition, you will need self-tapping screws to secure all the parts.

ADVICE! Before you start cutting out the details, it is recommended to draw them on a chipboard sheet with a simple pencil. You will get a kind of wooden pattern.

We make components

The tabletop is always cut out first - you need to round off the corners, giving it the desired shape with a jigsaw. The second frame is assembled for the strength of the tabletop - 4 pieces are joined together, fixing on the corners or self-tapping screws. The thrust frame must be positioned exactly in the middle of the table top fabric.

The third will be the side racks:

The second post is made in the same way.

We assemble the table

Place all parts on a flat surface. The assembly is also started from the countertop. You need to retreat 11 cm by drawing horizontal stripes - you get a square just in the center of the slab. It is in it that the frame will be located - to fix it. Next, you should make marks for the side struts, in the same way attaching them in the center, but already to the thrust frame.

After assembly, it remains to enter the lower abutment bar for the leg spacers, secure with corners. For the sake of strengthening, the side posts are once again scrolled with self-tapping screws - from the outside of the tabletop.

It is important to remember that before assembly, all parts must be cleaned and processed - for example, with putty and varnish. Or you can glue it over with a special film.

How to make a coffee table from chipboard

Coffee table assembly is twice as easy as it is compact and does not require a lot of work. Such a table, as a rule, is low - at the level of the sofa, or even lower. The most simple circuit- arrange round table top on 2 parallel bars. The most convenient, budgetary and fast. But to make something more serious, you will need similar tools and components.

Making a drawing of the table

You should make measurements and calculations yourself or use a ready-made scheme by simply copying it. The main thing to remember is that even they can be changed for yourself. Be sure to take into account the dimensions.

Cooking components

The coffee table will consist of the following parts:

  • table top (75 cm by 70 cm);
  • 4 slats (46 cm by 10 cm);
  • 2 flat shelves (70 cm by 50 cm);
