How to make a curly plasterboard ceiling. How to make curly ceilings from plasterboard - types, installation methods How to make curly ceilings from plasterboard scheme

Modern technologies the use of drywall allows not only to make a perfectly smooth ceiling, but also to create a whole multi-level system. Curly plasterboard ceilings have gained wide popularity, because they allow you to make the interior of a room truly extraordinary. This is a rather complicated matter, therefore, you can swing at multi-level systems only if you already have experience in installing a simple plasterboard ceiling... Otherwise, it would be wiser to turn to professional builders. For all those who are not afraid of difficulties, in this article we will tell you about the intricacies of installing a curly plasterboard ceiling with your own hands.

Features of such a finish

The current homeowners strive to surround themselves with original interiors, which encourages designers to create more and more new types of interior decoration. It is thanks to this desire that curly plasterboard ceilings appeared. Such a ceiling is a multi-level structure created from various geometric, often curved elements. The very first such systems looked somewhat simple and angular, but now there are technologies that allow you to create elegant and sophisticated figures on the ceiling.

main feature This type of decoration is the creation of unique figures based on a 2 or 3-level structure. This system fixed to the base slab with metal frame, which is sheathed with plasterboard.

Originality is the main advantage of such a ceiling, but it also has other advantages:

  • Drywall is a relatively inexpensive material that allows you to make the interior truly extraordinary.
  • This ceiling gives you unlimited possibilities for lighting experiments. As you know, even the geometry of space can be corrected with the help of lighting. Can be used simultaneously different types lighting fixtures.
  • When finishing with plasterboard, there is no need to level base surface.
  • Since the curly plasterboard ceilings are suspended systems, all the wiring and other communications are hidden under them.

Attention: in low rooms, it is undesirable to install multi-level ceilings, as this can significantly reduce the height. In such rooms, it is better to make a single-level ceiling and decorate it with one or more small figures at the edges.

Flaws

  • Large mass. One sq.m. multi-level design can weigh up to 20 kg. Therefore, for installation, a sufficiently strong frame is needed from high-quality profiles.
  • Drywall is absolutely not resistant to flooding, it quickly absorbs moisture, which makes it heavy, deformed and can come off the frame. In such cases, it will be necessary to completely overhaul the damaged area, and sometimes the entire ceiling.
  • This structure cannot be disassembled and reassembled like a cassette or panel ceiling, it cannot be disassembled. Therefore, it is important to carry out all the electrical wiring in advance, be sure to hide the cables in a corrugation or other insulating material, remove the power supplies outside the structure. Lamps can be changed in luminaires without disassembling the ceiling.

The subtleties of creating curly elements

In this section, we will focus on how exactly to make a curly plasterboard ceiling using various elements and tricks. It is quite easy to mount square or rectangular structures, but you will have to work hard to create curved elements. There are many drywall figures, but in order to understand the principle of their creation, it is enough to study the nuances of making just one element - a circle. On this basis, you can create any curved structures.

How do I create a circle?

First, you just need to draw it on the ceiling. To do this, a screw is screwed in the center of the area where it is planned to place the circle, a thread with a pencil is tied to it. The circle is drawn in the same way as with a compass.

For installation, you will need guide profiles, which must be cut along the side walls every 5-6 cm. Now it can be bent into any shape. Bend the guide profile in the form of a circle drawn on the ceiling and screw it along the marked line to the frame directly through the first layer of gypsum board.

A frame for the future structure of 2 types of profiles and suspensions is mounted to the created round profile. After that, the newly created structure is sheathed with plasterboard. The sheets are cut in a circle after being screwed on. To sew the vertical plane of the figure, cut a strip of the desired width and trim the paper every 5-7 cm on it.

How to create a bend

For beginners, the question always arises - how to bend drywall, give it smooth shapes and not break? It is difficult, but possible. Bends are achieved in 2 ways:

  • by soaking with water
  • by the method of cuts.

In the first option, you need a frame, so do not rush to attach it to the ceiling right away. To begin with, cut a strip of gypsum board of the required width and roll it from the seamy side with a spiked roller, so as to pierce the layer of cardboard. Spray this side with plenty of water. When the layer is soaked, place the strip on the pre-made blank, shaping the sheet to the desired shape, and let it dry.

On a note... Have this method there is a drawback: if the desired side is not wet enough, then smoothness will be lost and creases may appear on the sheet. If you have already screwed the frame to the ceiling, then it is better to bend the sheet on another surface of a similar shape.

In the second method, vertical cuts must be made in a strip of drywall at the same distance. In this case, it is important not to saw through, one layer must be left intact. Then the strip is attached to the frame and bent along the cuts.

Wave design

This process is quite laborious, but the principle of operation is the same as with the creation of a circle. If you understand how to create a circle, then you can handle the wave as well.

First you need to draw a wave on the ceiling. In this case, it is best to use a stencil.

In general, the installation process is no different from creating a circle. In the same way, the profile is given the desired shape and screwed along the drawn line, the frame is formed, the gypsum board is given the required shape and the structure is sheathed.

After the end of the technical part of the work, you need to putty desired sites, paint the ceiling and screw in the lighting fixtures.

As you can see, creating various shapes from drywall on the ceiling is not as difficult as it seems at first glance. With care and accuracy, such a design can be created on your own.

In custody

  1. Shaped plasterboard ceilings - fashion trend, allowing you to create an extraordinary interior in the room.
  2. There are many shapes and patterns that can be created from hl, however, it is enough to master the installation of just one shape - a circle. All other elements of multi-level structures are made according to the same principle.
  3. To create a circle, you first need to draw it on the ceiling, then take a guide profile, make cuts on its sides every 5-6 cm and give it a circle shape. Screw the profile to the frame of the first level right through the sheet of gypsum board, form the frame and sheathe it with plasterboard.
  4. There are two ways to give the gypsum board curved shapes: soak the sheet with water and dry it on the frame, or make cuts every 5 cm, which will also allow it to bend.
  5. It remains only to putty some areas and paint the surface.

With the development of modern building technologies, many options for creating ceiling systems have arisen, while the flight of imagination of builders and designers has no limit in this area. Combined and curved ceilings are in vogue today, which are arranged in a room with any interior design.

Features of curly ceilings

In the matter of design, they have long ceased to use standard approaches. Developers have long ceased to think in a standard way, no one is interested in simple platitudes. The wallpaper does not have to be solid color, and the ceiling does not have to be white. With the advent of plasterboard systems, the era of multi-level curly ceilings began. The very first of them may seem today angular and ugly. Modern designs are distinguished by sophistication and elegance, reminiscent of highly artistic canvases.

Figured ceilings are a type of stretch and suspended ceiling systems. Their peculiarity lies in the creation of various unique shapes by means of two- and three-level structures, which give the room an original and unique appearance. A multi-level system and figures are created using a frame of the required shape and a sheathing procedure with stretch canvas or drywall.

The figured ceiling is good because it is original. But on the other hand, curly suspended ceilings are chosen not only for the sake of originality. Lighting is quite successfully and quickly built into such a ceiling. By its own properties of practicality, the figured ceiling does not lag behind others. Drywall is one of the first to be used for any repair.

Advantages of a plasterboard ceiling

The device of multi-level curly ceilings in a city apartment or private house contributes to a visual increase in the height and space of the room. With a tiered ceiling, you can divide the surface into functional areas. It is not at all necessary that you are an expert in this field to create a curly ceiling, the skills of a novice builder are quite enough.

Plasterboard slabs allow you to hide even the most serious irregularities and defects of a real ceiling, especially when they cannot be removed with traditional finishing, so you do not need to spend money and time on a laborious and time-consuming leveling process. Drywall can be wallpaper and paint. You can be convinced of this by looking at the photo of curly ceilings.

Plasterboard is a pliable material, perfectly amenable to processing, it can be drilled, cut, bend without problems, allowing you to create ceilings with different protrusions and depressions of a complex curved shape, to install elements of lighting and lighting systems in different planes on and on different levels, as well as hide various communications - starting with electrical wiring and ending with ventilation pipes.

Drywall is an affordable and democratic material, which is distinguished by its high quality and high performance characteristics. It is cheaper to make a curly plasterboard ceiling than to order a cassette or stretch ceiling. A shaped suspended ceiling acts as an acoustic and non-combustible suspended ceiling made of environmentally friendly material that is safe for health, does not emit toxic substances and is breathable.

Disadvantages of curly ceilings

The main drawback of a curly ceiling lies in the mass of the final design. Unlike stretch fabrics or plastic panels, drywall is a heavy material. One square meter of curly ceiling weighs up to 20 kilograms.

The second disadvantage is flooding instability. If stretch ceilings can easily withstand the most serious flooding, restoring after that its original appearance, then the curly ceilings will have to be repaired after flooding.

The third drawback of curly plasterboard ceilings lies in the fact that after the completion of the repair it will be impossible to disassemble the ceiling structure. All communications and lamps must be installed in advance, since then you will not be able to penetrate under the surface.

Using curly ceilings

It is customary to install curly ceilings wherever you want. The scope of use of a suspended ceiling is quite wide - these are offices and residential apartments. Curly in the office stretch ceiling will talk about the prosperity of the company, and in the house and apartment - about the delicate taste of the owners. The arrangement of this ceiling in the apartment is advisable in the main room of the housing, where all family members gather - in the living room.

The only type of premises in which drywall is inappropriate are toilets, bathrooms and saunas. In a word, you cannot mount such material in rooms with increased humidity. There are, of course, gypsum plasterboards with a moisture-resistant surface, but they are usually used mainly for installing partitions. It is not recommended to make ceilings from such sheets.

Humidity in the kitchen is also high, but it is lower than in the bathroom, so curly plasterboard ceilings in the kitchen will be an excellent solution for the interior. To ensure that the ceiling can be washed, it is recommended to cover the ceiling surface with a durable water-repellent acrylic paint that can be washed many times.

False ceilings look amazing in the most large rooms- bedroom and hall, when the interior of these premises is decisive for the whole house. In the bedroom and living room, using plasterboard boards, you can create original ceiling and bring the pre-thought design to life. In such rooms, where comfort is of great importance, curly ceilings will give the long-awaited silence, because they are distinguished by high sound-absorbing properties.

You should also remember that it is not recommended to equip curly structures in rooms with low ceilings. Plasterboard has a fairly large thickness, so such ceilings in rooms low height will lead to significant loss of height.

Preparatory stage

Arrangement of curly ceilings according to technological standards is allowed at a humidity level in rooms of no more than 70%. For higher humidity levels, it is recommended to use moisture resistant gypsum board or gypsum fiber. The moisture content of the surface of the base of the ceiling for the creation of a curly ceiling should be up to 8%.

The climate in the room when finishing the ceiling must correspond to the usual conditions of its operation. It is recommended to carry out work in winter with permanent heating and ventilation devices.

Before making a shaped ceiling, all engineering, installation and other special work must be completed, including those associated with various wet processes (creation cement screeds, plastering). All electrification work must be completed. Wiring should be carried out to the places of future installation of lamps or lighting. Lay a ducted air conditioning and ventilation system in the ceiling system.

When arranging a multi-level curly ceiling, safety measures should be strictly observed. Use tools only for the appropriate operations. Remember that dust gets into your eyes and lungs when working, so you need to prepare a protective mask, goggles and a respirator in advance. Provide ventilation in the room.

Figured ceiling drawing

An obligatory attribute for installing multi-level curly ceiling structures is drawing up a diagram. When installing a single-level ceiling, this stage is desirable, and in the case of multi-level ceilings, it is mandatory. A carefully drawn up drawing of a multi-level ceiling will facilitate the planning of the work process, will help to foresee the occurrence typical mistakes at the very beginning or the situation is quickly corrected.

Carefully measure all the overall dimensions of the room, taking into account the necessary protrusions, into which technical devices will be hidden in the future, engineering Communication, ventilation ducts and decor items, as in the video of curly ceilings. After that, draw a diagram of the future structure on a piece of paper. Then transfer the layout of the multi-level ceiling in natural size to the floor of the room where it will be equipped.

Typically, the floor and ceiling in a room are similar in shape and size. The ceiling diagram, which is transferred to the floor, allows you to clearly see the future structure of the shaped ceiling with all its constituent elements and to identify errors at the initial design stage. The drawing of a curly ceiling should also include the placement of lighting devices, taking into account the peculiarities of lighting design and electrical wiring.

The plane of the curly ceiling

First of all, you should make a frame for the part of the curly ceiling, where the drywall will be placed. Determine for this the correct plane of the ceiling covering. It should be borne in mind that between 2 levels of the ceiling system, the most optimal difference reaches 50 millimeters, and the minimum size of the luminaire that will be built into the system is also 50 millimeters.

Given these parameters, the distance between the future ceiling and the floor slab should be close to 100 millimeters. Using a tape measure, you need to measure 100 millimeters from the ceiling and transfer this mark using a hydraulic or laser level to all corners of the room. Pull a chopping line between the marks - a thread that is impregnated with dry blue.

Draw with it a straight line from mark to mark - pull the thread a little and release it like a slingshot, as a result a straight line will be printed on the wall. Repeat this procedure on the rest of the walls of the room. The plane of the curly plasterboard ceiling will be limited by these lines. Along them you will fill the guide profiles.

The shape of the curly ceiling

After determining the plane of the ceiling, you can proceed to the next stage - setting the shape of the ceiling. The shape that you will lay out on the ceiling has radii and corners, so you need to work a little. Using a drill, make two holes, one of them will protrude as the center into which you will drive a dowel, and insert a marker into the second hole and draw the desired circle.

Using these simple techniques and a chopping cord, draw the desired configuration of the image right on the ceiling. In order not to get confused in the drawings, point the main lines that define the configuration of our ceiling in bold or cross out the auxiliary lines. Profiles need to be filled along the marked lines.

To define a bend using a straight profile, follow the simple procedure. Cut the flanges of the profile with a grinder from the opposite side to the bend in small segments, as a result of which you can give the profile any shape.

The final stage of installing the frame for a curly ceiling is to give it volume. To connect together the profiles nailed to the ceiling and those that will be suspended in the air, special quick suspensions are usually used, as in the photo of stretch curly ceilings. In the future, you will sheathe the volumetric frame with plasterboard.

Curly ceiling sheathing

The design of a multi-level figured ceiling is a frame system with fixed modules and panels, on it, with the help of different distances between the suspended and the main ceiling, an illusion of free space arises. You can also do the installation of a multi-level ceiling with your own hands if you have such tools at hand: a roughing plane, pliers for fastening profiles, a needle roller for making bent surfaces, a profile cutter, a drill or screwdriver or drill, an edge plane.

When arranging the ceiling, you should use solid sheets whenever possible. The sheet must be cut along the length so that its end during installation falls on the beams, support beams and racks. Measure the required length with a tape measure. Use a drywall tool and mark the cut with a knife on the sheet. Make a cut with a knife along the entire length of the drywall sheet.

Then you need to slap on one side of the sheet. The material will break exactly along the notch. This will not break the edging paper covering the plasterboard core. To separate the pieces of drywall sheet completely, run over the cut with a knife.

It is not very difficult to add volume and sheathe the structure with drywall. Draw a ring on a sheet of drywall that will fit our dimensions and cut it out with an electric jigsaw. Screw the guide profiles to the resulting figure so that the profiles can be inserted into them with their butt ends. Then we fasten them along the inner and outer radius of the ring.

Drywall sheets are bent different ways... Some repairmen do this by moistening, others - the sheets are rolled with a roller with spikes, the rest - they make special templates. But these methods do not give the desired result. Drywall in any case breaks when rounding large radii, and therefore you should not be perverted with the material in all these ways.

The most reliable way to form a circle out of drywall is to create even fractures in small stripes. Cut evenly on one side of the drywall sheet and gently break. Gradually screw each broken piece to the frame. The resulting semicircle certainly looks a little like the ideal one, but the arched perforated corner will give it the correct shape.

The final stage

The final stage of work with the installation of a part of the drywall canvas is the sealing of the seams. Are of great importance Painting works, because the work may be in vain due to cracks at the joints. That is why it is recommended to properly seal the seams.

Apply a mesh (serpentine) to each seam and seal the joint with special glue. To make the corners a perfect even shape, frame them with countersunk, also seal the peeping heads of the self-tapping screws with glue. After waiting for the moment when the places of the self-tapping putty, the joints and the countershafts dry completely, you can proceed to the filling of the ceiling.

Putty the ceiling 2-3 times, this is greatly influenced by the qualifications of the painter. Sand the ceiling after the putty dries with a grinder, in the end it will turn out to achieve a perfectly flat surface that needs to be painted. So that you do not worry about the danger of cracking the seams, after puttingtying, cover the ceiling with non-woven linen - smooth wallpaper, which serves to protect the curly ceiling from cracks.

The last stage in creating a combined curly ceiling is the installation of a stretch canvas. To do this, you need a specialized gas cannon. In addition to it, you will also need to stretch a film on the ceiling and install lighting. In a similar way, you can build a round, triangular, square or oval shaped plasterboard ceiling. You can equip more complex structures in shape.

Thus, we looked at how to make curly plasterboard ceilings. As you can see, editing is not difficult. There is no need to pay for the services of specialists, because you can do everything yourself, having previously stocked up necessary materials, tools and patience.

Drywall, which has been widespread in our market for a very long time, is especially good because it allows you to create completely different geometric shapes and turn your home into an amazingly beautiful place.

Very often, craftsmen and designers use a figured plasterboard ceiling in the design of houses and apartments, which is relatively easy to install, but makes an absolutely irresistible impression. Below we will tell you in detail how all this is done.

General list of works

In order for the work to be successful, it is very important to outline a plan for yourself. Here is an approximate sequence of those actions by means of which you will create your own curly plasterboard ceiling (you will find an abundance of photos of those in this material). However, let's not be distracted:

  • First, the "native" ceiling is measured, the dimensions of each part of the curtain cover are estimated.
  • Possible options are being studied, photos. At this stage, it is advisable to adequately imagine what kind of figure you can do. Do not overestimate your strength! Better to start with simpler shapes and smaller rooms.
  • Then you need to determine the sequence according to which you will mount the levels.
  • According to the scale of the room, the amount of materials is carefully calculated. The entire required volume is purchased (with a margin of at least 10%).
  • If the ceiling has significant potholes and irregularities, it makes sense to fix the mounting mesh on it and re-plaster.
  • False ceiling marking is done.
  • The power frame is being assembled.
  • All the necessary communications are laid in it in advance.
  • Once again, measurements of the finished frame are made, after which patterns are made, according to which all the curly details are cut out.
  • The frame is covered with plasterboard.
  • All lighting equipment is mounted, ceiling covering is produced.

Preparation and markup

First of all, you need to prepare the "native" ceiling and walls. It is imperative to completely remove the crumbling pieces of plaster: being quite massive, they may well break through the figured drywall ceiling, so that all your work will go down the drain. Of course, you need to dismantle the lighting fixtures, and clean the surfaces of foreign objects like driven nails.

First, you need to determine the height of the very first, lowest level of your tiered ceiling. Experts say that it should be at least 25 mm below the minimum mark of the main ceiling, since this volume will be occupied by both the drywall itself and the profile on which it will be mounted. Find this point and make a noticeable mark on the wall, which you will be guided by later.

Using a water or laser level, transfer this markings to all walls, connecting the marks with a pencil. However, professional installers for this purpose, use a thread with paint (or chokline "in a scientific way"). To make a mark with it, pinch the thread with two fingers, pull and release it sharply.

Measure seven times ...

Finally, make sure once again that the markings you made are really accurate, and there are no gross errors in its lines. Attention! When constructing a curly plasterboard ceiling with your own hands, always pay special attention to the accuracy of measurements: if you treat this issue negligently, then the whole structure may well be skewed, which clearly will not add beauty to your home.

Now you need to find the corner in the room that is closest to the 90 degree mark. From it on the wall, make marks every half a meter. On the opposite wall, repeat the procedure, using for accuracy laser level... We take a chokline and fill in between the marks of the line directly along the ceiling. So you will mark the places for attaching the hangers to which the ceiling profile will be attached.

What consumables will be required?

In order not to get into a mess in the very middle of the work, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the list of those necessary consumables that you will need more than once for installing a suspended ceiling:

  • UD-profiles (PNP 27x28). The name stands for "ceiling guide profile".
  • CD-profiles (PP 60x27). This is a normal longitudinal profile.
  • "Crabs". Clamps for connecting frame elements together.
  • Hangers for hanging a profile from a "native" ceiling covering with their subsequent alignment.
  • Self-tapping screws for metal 3.5x11 or 3.5x9, designed to connect frame parts to each other.
  • Self-tapping screws for metal 6x60, supplied with Necessary for fixing the frame elements directly to the ceiling.
  • Self-tapping screws MN25, with which the drywall is screwed to the profiles.

Installation of the first level frame

We fix the UD profile around the perimeter. We make sure that its lower part passes strictly along the line you beat off. If it turns out that there are no holes for fasteners in the profile you bought, we drill them ourselves (again, every half a meter). Fasteners are best done using plastic dowels and screws, since only they are able to provide maximum strength for concrete surface(the most common option). It is best to use dowels with a diameter of about 6 mm.

Profile attachment

Now you need to fasten the U-shaped suspensions to the ceiling, using the lines you marked in advance for orientation. It is advisable to use the dowels the same. Important! Between the suspensions themselves, it is advisable to maintain a distance not exceeding 60 cm. This is especially important if you are installing a curly plasterboard ceiling in the kitchen.

The fact is that in this room a large load is often placed on the ceiling: humid air, attachments etc. We do not recommend saving on consumables in such a responsible business!

A little about the kitchen

Helpful advice. Flared dowels are optimal for suspensions, but if there were simply no such in the store, it is quite permissible to use shock fasteners, simply by taking screws for them that meet your requirements. This is especially important when you are making a curly plasterboard ceiling in the kitchen. Photos do not convey all the nuances, but you just have to keep one thing in mind.

The fact is that the air in this room is almost always humid. Drywall can become very wet over time and increase its weight several times. If the attachments are weak, everything in one far from perfect day can simply collapse on your head.

Why do we recommend using flared dowels? The fact is that in the concrete floors of domestic houses, you will inevitably stumble upon various voids. The cap of such fasteners will prevent them from falling into them, providing the most reliable, high-quality fastening.

One more thing. When screwing in suspensions, it is very important to do this using not the external "ears", but the internal holes, since the ears under the weight of the ceiling will inevitably pull back, and quite significantly. Your entire curly plasterboard ceiling, on the installation of which you had to work so scrupulously and responsibly, will immediately turn out to be completely skewed.

Installation of CD-profiles

Once you are done with the hangers, measure the required length of the CD profiles and gently insert them into the UD mounts that you previously secured around the entire perimeter of the room. To set them as accurately as possible, you can use a regular thread.

Pull it exactly across the CD, carefully attaching the ends of the string to the UD profiles. To prevent slightly sagging profiles from pulling the thread, slightly secure them by placing the ends of the suspensions under them. By the way, the thread can be removed later, since it will still come in handy when installing the second level of the ceiling.

Carefully "calibrate" the profiles according to the level of the twine, simultaneously securing them with the help of small self-tapping screws. Important! Before you start fixing drywall sheets, be sure to make sure that you work thoroughly. In addition, it does not hurt to immediately lay the wiring for the recessed lights, stretch the telephone cable, cable TV and the Internet. The cavities that form a curly plasterboard ceiling are ideal for this.

We fasten drywall

A standard GVL sheet has a length of exactly 250 mm. Note! Each sheet should lie on the CD profile so as to cover it exactly half. The remaining space will be used to fasten the next sheet of gypsum fiber board. Note that this material is very difficult, and therefore we strongly advise you to find one or two assistants before starting work.

So, we begin to make a curly ceiling from plasterboard. Photos of similar design solutions are available in this article, so before starting work, you can familiarize yourself with them and come up with your own version, which is characterized by great variety and originality.

How to make the first level?

Of course, you should first mark out the shapes of the future ceiling. This is done using an ordinary pencil. Immediately mark the level on the wall to which the second tier of your ceiling will descend. Screw on the UD profile. If you need to bend it curly, to facilitate the process, simply cut the material every five centimeters.

You should know that you need to cut the profile from the side and outside the direction in which the surface will bend. This is how you need to do the first level, assembling a curly drywall ceiling with your own hands. Photos from the article will help you understand some of the nuances of the work.

After that, you can begin to assemble the frame, fastening it together with self-tapping screws of the appropriate type. After that, carefully screw on the sheets of gypsum fiber board. Try to direct the screws strictly vertically, as otherwise the surface of the sheets will inevitably crumble! As we said above, you can pull on the same thread to achieve the most accurate alignment with it.

Second figured level

Since it is difficult to fasten pieces of drywall in places of winding lines, we recommend cutting it off in small pieces, which are much easier to bend, giving them the required shape, and fasten. At this stage, it is extremely important to carry out the installation of curly plasterboard ceilings as carefully as possible and not to rush, otherwise you risk spoiling the results of your work.

If in some places the profiles hang by more than half a meter, they must be additionally secured with suspensions. Only then can you neatly sew pieces of GVL on them, constantly cutting off excess parts with a regular hacksaw. Vertical strips of drywall (before bending) should be cut from the outside of the bend. Once this work is done, you can begin to putty the ceiling.

If you do not have sufficient experience in installation, we strongly advise you to first completely assemble the frame, and only then sheathe both levels with GVL sheets. It's much easier to avoid mistakes this way. This is how plasterboard suspended curly ceilings are made.

It takes a lot of hands-on experience and training to make a multi-level plasterboard suspended ceiling. Even the simplest change in the usual parameters of a room will require accurate calculations and the ability to use modern building materials and tools. The slightest miscalculation can lead to irreparable errors that will immediately affect the ceiling design. An improperly attached profile can ultimately lead to the need to completely redesign the structure.

To make your idea come true, invite a real master of his craft who has good recommendations and able to show samples of his work.

If you are going to give a house an unusual look, you need to think in advance how you want to change it and be sure to calculate your financial capabilities, because the more complex the structure, the more expensive it costs. The work of highly qualified professionals always costs a lot, and a figured ceiling can only be made by very good specialists.

Creating a plasterboard ceiling pattern

If you want to give your home a unique and inimitable look, you can make a ceiling unusual shapes that will always amaze your guests with its beauty. When starting to develop a drawing, be sure to take into account the size of the room, its configuration and height, so that the curly ceiling will organically fit into the interior. The specialist must take into account the number of windows, the orientation of the apartment to the cardinal points and how shadows will affect the overall mood in the room when illuminated. Correctly chosen shape of the ceiling will help to highlight the beauty of the headset and make the overall ensemble sophisticated and unique.

When choosing a pattern, you need to think about the owners of the room and the purpose of the room. Suitable for the nursery bright colours, the presence of a variety of fairy-tale characters and funny animals. This will help create a wonderful environment for the growing child. The hall should look rich and at the same time airy without overwhelming those present with its grandeur. It should be a pleasure for your guests to be here. The bedroom will look organic, pastel colors and smooth curves will help relieve stress after a hard day and enjoy your rest.

Curly ceilings in small spaces, kitchens, bathrooms and toilets are generally inappropriate as they take up space, making the room small.

Patterns on multilevel structures

Complex patterns involve the creation of multi-level structures. Currently, there are a huge number of options for such ceilings that look great in a well-thought-out interior. Each designer sees the implementation of the project in his own way and can offer original idea, the implementation of which will make your home immaculately elegant and beautiful. Consider several types of existing curly ceilings.

Create an unusual design with light

Correctly positioned light fixtures can not only provide quality lighting, but help give an apartment a brighter and more festive look. By distributing the lighting evenly, you can use it to highlight areas of rest and work.
By hanging the lamps along the border of the suspended ceiling, you can create light curtains, and by highlighting a specific place with a set, you can enhance the accent of perception of the original drawing or an unusual headset. LED lamps and strips look very original in the interior of the apartment, which can not only change the intensity of the glow, but also color range, which allows you to adapt to a certain mood.

The pendant lamp bodies made of chrome, brass or aluminum can serve as an additional element for decorating a room and look great even when the lights are off.

Shaped plasterboard ceilings

Using gypsum boards, the designer can bring to life the most daring and unusual project. Due to its plasticity, it is possible to make from this material both simple one-level and smooth ceilings, and complex structures that resemble unusual animals, insects or flowers. Ceilings decorated with various geometric shapes look good in the apartment, the main thing in the manufacture of multi-level complex structures observe the proportions and ratio of the size of the room with the pattern on the ceiling.

Choice of design

It is necessary that the drawing on the ceiling looks organically with the chosen style of furnishings and does not fall out of the general mood of the house. Pretentiousness, not confirmed by the general idea, will look alien and instead of a beautiful background it will become flashy and clumsy.
