Flat roof gutters. Roof funnels: purpose and types Installation of a water intake funnel on a flat roof

The main enemy of any roof is water, the destructive effect of which leads to a reduction in the service life of the roofing material, leaks. Gable, hip and even pitched roof types have something to oppose melt and rainwater.
These are their slopes, thanks to the slope of which moisture, without lingering on the roof, slides down. Flat roofs are less protected; puddles accumulate on a flat surface, which do not have time to dry.

Water stagnation methodically destroys the waterproofing layer, in addition, dust applied by the wind settles in them, forming a swampy substrate. Plant seeds trapped in this "soil" germinate and destroy the roofing cake with their roots. To avoid prolonging the service life, they are equipped with a drainage system that drains water from its surface into storm sewer.

Flat roof gutter system

Flat roof drainage system - a set of elements that collect, transfer and discharge water that ends up on the roof surface as a result of precipitation or snow melting. equip the following types:

  1. Unorganized. It consists in the fact that the water simply slides off the steep slopes. This method of independent drainage is used in private houses with pitched roofs, but it is not suitable for structures with a flat roof.
  2. External. Consists of gutter and downpipes fixed to the wind dock or rafters. By gravity, due to the slope of the roof, water is removed from the slopes and drained into a gutter or storm drain. An external drain is used to drain water from a flat roof of a small area, in particular, for utility structures.
  3. Interior. Feature internal drain that it is laid inside the roofing cake. It is designed taking into account the specifics of a flat roof.

Indoor flat roof drain

Placed not outside, but under layers of waterproofing, insulation. It consists of:

  • Roof outlets installed on the roof surface, in low places, erected when sloping. Funnels function - collection and filtration of melt and rainwater falling on the roof.
  • Horizontal drainpipes, which are installed under a layer of waterproofing and insulation under a slope, if a gravity drain is equipped or without a slope, if it is vacuum.
  • Vertical drainpipes, which collect streams of water from horizontal pipes and drain into a storm sewer.

According to the method of movement of water into the drainage system, there is a gravity and vacuum type. The principle of operation of a vacuum drain is that precipitation completely fills the pipes, creating a water column, when moving downward, the air rises first upward, creating a vacuum environment, and then drags water along from the drain funnel, as if sucking it in. In areas with heavy rainfall, experienced roofers recommend installing a vacuum system that can quickly cope with a large volume of water, and even self-cleaning due to its rapid movement through the pipes.

A drain funnel on a flat roof is responsible for collecting and receiving water that accumulates on the surface. It consists of:

  • The lower part, which is mounted in the base of a flat roof.
  • A seal that tightly connects the upper and lower parts of the roof drain.
  • The upper part, passing through the thickness of the insulation and waterproofing.
  • A protective grill, which is located above the roof surface and protects the drainage funnel from the penetration of coarse debris and the formation of blockages.

The tightness of the connections between the elements of the drainage funnel - required condition efficient operation of the drainage system. When examining a flat roof after a leak was found, in 70% of cases, the problem was the penetration of water between the joints of the funnel parts.

Types of gutters

The roof drain can be made of galvanized metal, copper or PVC. Galvanized specimens are used more often than others, due to their affordable price. Due to the sky-high cost, copper funnels did not gain popularity, especially since they are not combined with all roofing materials... PVC products are excellent for mounting on soft tiles, shinglas, onduline.

V specialized stores there are the following types of drainage funnels:

When installing roof drains, professional roofers adhere to the following principles:

  • Place funnels in places below the main roof level. The slope between the base and the funnel should be at least 2 degrees, and at a distance of 50 cm increase to 5 degrees. The slope is set when deflecting with insulation plates, expanded clay or concrete.
  • Drainage funnels are distributed evenly over the surface of a flat roof at the rate of 1 piece per 25 meters in length.
  • Regardless of the roof area, the minimum number of gutters is two. Since in the event of a blockage of the drain or during heavy rainfall, the second will insure the funnel that is out of order or does not cope with a large volume of water.
  • The smallest permissible distance between the gutters is 50 cm. And from the edge of the roof - 1 m.

Installation procedure

Carry out the installation of drainage funnels on flat roof in the following way:

The drainage system, including the funnels, must be periodically inspected and cleaned so that an unexpected downpour does not lead to the collapse of the roof. A well-organized drain will not only extend the life of the roof, but also become a source of water for irrigation if you are concerned about preserving natural resources.

Video instruction

Drainage systems are divided into open and closed. Open is what we see on most pitched roofs: a gutter runs along the perimeter of the roof, from which water flows into the funnel of the pipe, further down the pipe: into drainage system, into the collector, just at a certain distance from the facade (so as not to undermine the basement and seep to the foundation).

Closed ones are used on flat roofs. Here, the angle of inclination of the roof is insufficient for the water to drain into the gutter. Moreover, flat roofs are often surrounded by a parapet through which water, in principle, cannot get out of the roof. In this case, flat roof drains are used. Through them, rain and melt water enters the riser that runs inside the house.

The funnels are installed at the bottom of the flat roof (the flat roof also has a slight slope). I will talk a little about these funnels, installation and selection features.

Why flat roof drains are needed

Without a drain device, water will stagnate on the roof. This is not good: water gradually destroys the coating, penetrates into the thickness of the roofing cake, spoils the insulation, seeps through the ceiling into the house.

If there is no parapet, and the flat roof has a noticeable slope (up to 10 degrees), the roof outlets can be replaced by an external system, gutter + pipe.

Or the most unfortunate option: a knot of unorganized drainage from a flat roof. Its only advantage is savings in purchase and installation costs. Everything else is bad: an unorganized spillway erodes the soil near the basement, penetrates to the foundation. Streams of water over front door- also not a very pleasant thing.

note

According to the SNiP standards, an unorganized drain is allowed only in houses up to five floors in areas with little rainfall, if there is a sufficiently large distance to the roadway and sidewalk. But even so, it is harmful to the walls and foundations of the house.

In the presence of a solid parapet, any external drainage systems are not considered in principle.

Device and types

The funnel consists of a wide rim, a cap and a glass.

The systems themselves are divided into two large groups:

  • Traditional. There are many pipes in the house, there are also many funnels. Systems are mounted on overhangs or special projections located on roof depressions with a slope of 3 degrees. When using such a system, funnels are placed every 25 meters. All of them are connected to one riser.

  • Gravitational vacuum. The principle of operation is the ejection effect, in this case, the ability of one medium to drag along the other. When a vacuum is formed in the riser, water under the pressure of air masses is drawn into the riser at high speed.

note

The advantages of this system are large bandwidth, the possibility of self-cleaning of pipes, the use of pipes of small diameter, fewer receiving funnels.

Calculation of roof outlets on a flat roof

Funnels are installed on the basis of one piece per 150-200 square meters, but not less than two pieces per roof. Those. for small house 10 by 10 will require two, for 15 by 15 also two, for a roof over 300 squares - three, etc.

Features of selection and installation

Materials for making funnels are plastic and metal. When choosing, they usually proceed from what material the roof is covered with:

  • If it is a folded or metal-profile roof, then the funnels are chosen from metal;
  • For polymer coatings, funnels made of polymer compounds are preferred.

Installation requirements:

  • The connection of the funnel to the roof must be perfectly sealed. It is recommended to lay additional pieces of waterproofing at the joints. Moreover, the insulation should be glued directly onto the side of the funnel;
  • If there are two waterproofing layers on the roof, the edges of the funnel are placed between them;
  • The funnel must be equipped with a removable cover and protected by an umbrella from dirt;
  • The cap should be secured well;
  • To avoid freezing of water in the riser, it is necessary to heat the gutters on the flat roof;

note

For the installation of the funnel, hot bitumen or mastic is used, additionally - mechanical fastening (screws).

Who manufactures gutters and at what price

Flat roof gutters TechnoNIKOL. Diameter 110, 90, 160. With compression flange, with leaf catcher, with and without heating. The cost is from 300 rubles to 4.5 thousand.

SK TUOTE OY (Finland). Diameter from 7.5 to 16 centimeters, price from 800 to 4 thousand rubles.

"Tekhnoresurs" (RF). Diameter 11-16. The cost of funnels with a leaf catcher, heated and unheated from 400 rubles to 4 thousand.

Installation of an internal drainage system is orders of magnitude more difficult than installing gutters and pipes from the facade. This task cannot be done without the appropriate equipment and qualifications.

We will help you choose the right type of funnels for your roof and carry out the installation - quickly, inexpensively, competently and with a guarantee.

You can see photo reports of our work with a description and cost.

The modern flat roof drain is not just a hole in the roof, it is a complex drainage structure. Next, we will analyze which roof drainage funnels are better in a given situation, what they are made of, and most importantly, I will show you in the photo step by step installation funnels in three ways.

For a flat roof, special types of roof gutters are used.

Varieties and technical data of storm funnels

Installed on absolutely all roofs storm system collection and drainage of water. The choice of a drainage system depends on the angle of inclination and the configuration of the roof.

Types of roof drainage systems

Despite the variety of roofs, professionals divide them into 2 directions - pitched and flat. For each direction, their own types of drainage systems are used, respectively, and their water intake funnels are different.

  • Pitched - if the roof has a slope of more than 10º, then it belongs to the pitched direction. The principle of operation of pitched drainage systems is the same - a gutter is mounted along the perimeter of the roof, which collects water, and through funnels and drainpipes, this water is discharged to certain points;

According to the rules on pitched systems drainage one funnel is mounted on no more than 10 m of continuous gutter

  • The drainage system of a flat roof is an order of magnitude more complicated than that of the pitched "sister", therefore, several drainage schemes are used here, and different funnels for a flat roof are recommended for each scheme.

Important! Such roofs are called flat, conditionally, there is a slope there in any case, usually the angle ranges from 3º to 10º. Slopes are needed to collect water at specific points with funnels.

On any flat roof, a ramp is installed to collect water into the funnels

Classification of water intakes

On flat roofs, all drain systems are regulated in accordance with GOST 25336-82, there is a lot of information there, but we, at the amateur level, are interested in 2 main characteristics:

  1. The throughput of the intake funnels;
  2. Quantity per m2

The issue of the number of water intake funnels per 1 m² can be easily resolved. The standard indicates that with a thickness drain pipe 100 mm, one drain funnel is installed for every 200 m². It is mounted either in the center or closer to one of the sides of the catchment sector.

As for the bandwidth, then on flat roofs ah drainage systems are divided into 2 types:

  1. Traditional or conventional gutters have a drain hole diameter of at least 100 mm. Water flows in them by gravity, while the pipe is never completely filled. The system is used on small roofs with simple funnels;

With a relatively small cross-section of pipes, the siphon-vacuum drainage system, in comparison with the usual one, has an efficiency 2 times higher

  1. In siphon-vacuum systems, drainpipes are completely filled and with a small cross-section of pipes, the throughput is an order of magnitude higher. Due to the structure of the funnel and the configuration of the piping, a vacuum is created and water is sucked in more. The principle of operation is the same as when draining fuel from the tank of a car.

In a siphon-vacuum system, the main element is a two-level funnel, it is this funnel that ensures the filling of the pipe with water and the suction effect

Illustrations Types of water intakes

Bell funnels are easily recognizable by the presence of a mesh towering over the drain, it is designed to protect the drain from debris.

The top cap of this drain is mounted flush with the roof covering. These funnels were designed for maintenance roofs, so the structures are highly durable. With proper installation, some models can withstand loads of up to 250 kg.

In such models, internal heating of problematic units is provided. As a result, the structure does not get clogged with ice in the off-season, and most importantly, it does not break during severe frosts.
Multilevel models

In fact, there is only one and two-tier sinks. The first is mounted in traditional systems, and the second in vacuum systems.

In addition, two-level roof outlets are designed to be installed on an unstable base, for example, on an open terrace of a wooden house.

These models have appeared relatively recently, in them the outlet pipe can change the angle of inclination up to 90º, which is convenient when arranging a private house, where it is not always possible to follow the project clearly.

Plus, the hinges are universal, they can be used both for vertical and horizontal systems, and for inclined pipelines.

Funnel materials

  • Plastic- plastic plums are considered the most affordable, but this is perhaps their only advantage. One of the places where the installation of such models is justified is in small technical buildings with a roof made of corrugated board or something similar;
  • Steel- such plums are considered the most durable and durable. They can be mounted on both reinforced concrete and wooden or other movable floors. The price of models made of galvanized steel is lower, but over time the zinc will peel off and they corrode, so it is better to take stainless steel or cast iron;

In addition to steel, plastic and combined funnels, cast iron models are widely used in the budget sector, they are certainly heavy, but strong, durable and inexpensive

  • Combined- here we are dealing with a successful symbiosis of stainless steel and modern polymers. In such models, the loaded units are made of steel, and the polymer is used to protect the structure from the aggressive effects of drains.

Self-assembly of the funnel - 3 ways

For flat roofs, different drainage systems are used, respectively, and roof outlets on these systems are mounted in different ways.

Method number 1. Installation of a siphon-vacuum drain

Illustrations Recommendations

Step 1

As an example, we took one of the popular models from Geberit Pluvia, other market leaders use similar instructions.

To begin with, a square bed is cut out in the concrete roof for the structure.

Step 2

· Lubricate the niche with glue and immerse the base of the funnel there;

· There is a metal plate on top of the roof outlet, it must be turned 90º and holes drilled into the roof for anchor as shown in the diagram on the left.

Step 3 We fix the plate from 4 sides with anchors or powerful dowel nails.

Step 4 There are studs on the base, and a rubber gasket is included in the model kit. This gasket must be put on the studs.

Step 5 A soft roof is rolled over the protruding pins, for example, "TechnoNIKOL", after which holes for the pins are cut into it.

Step 6

A ring is put on the studs and fixed with nuts.

Important! The nuts are screwed in diagonally, that is, by screwing in one, go to the one opposite and so on until you have passed the whole circle.

Step 7 The nuts are tightened without fanaticism. The fact is that there are sealing ribs on the gasket and it is not advisable to completely flatten them.

Step 8 Cut out the soft roof from the funnel.

Step 9 The cap consists of three nodes, the outer mesh is installed first, for this there are 2 hooks on the base.

Step 10 Now we insert the core until it clicks.

Step 11 The top cover is put on and fixed in the same way as the previous two, that is, until a characteristic click.

Method number 2. Waste for old houses

Important! In old high-rise buildings, it makes no sense to install a gravitational-vacuum funnel. Because in addition to it, there is still pipe wiring for drainage that needs to be installed according to a special scheme. Therefore, other models are used for old houses, by the way, cheaper ones.

Illustrations Recommendations

Step 1 Here, in the concrete floor, it is also necessary to equip a bed, but I am glad that this bed is already in the old Khrushchev buildings and other multi-storey Soviet projects.
Step 2 If the roof is not used in any way, then you can take the simplest funnel. To fix it, use "Emaco S88" glue or a similar composition.

Step 3 We immerse the funnel cuffs in glue and once again coat it with glue on top.

Step 4 Now the whole bed, up to the studs, is covered with bitumen mastic. Previously, ordinary bitumen was used, now "Izobit BR" from brand"Izolex".

Step 5 On the bitumen primer "Izobit BR" a couple of layers of the "TechnoNIKOL" soft roof are laid, and a fixing ring is installed and screwed on top.

Step 5 The cap is inserted last, most models are mounted in the same way, until a characteristic click.

Method number 3. Drainage for lightweight roofs with insulation

A lightweight roof means a roof made of corrugated board, on top of which insulation is laid and all this is covered with a soft roofing membrane "TechnoNIKOL".

Illustrations Recommendations

Step 1 The roofing pie is disassembled and a hole for the drain is cut in the corrugated board.

Step 2 The insulation is two-layer and our funnel is two-level, so we cut reciprocating saw bed for each level.

Step 3 Roll out the waterproofing layer and cut a hole in it for the funnel.

Step 4

We choose a funnel model with soft cuffs, otherwise the funnel may crack from the movements of the soft base.

Roofing membrane "Technonikol" is warming up gas burner, after which the cuff is pressed against the base.

Step 5 Now we take a square (1 × 1 m) of the TechnoNIKOL finishing membrane, put it on the funnel and cut out a hole.

Step 6 Then we warm up the membrane and glue it to the funnel, after which you can lay the finishing layer of the TechnoNIKOL roof (it is also welded with a burner). In the last step, the cap is inserted.

Why are flat roof drains needed?

Water does not linger on roof slopes. However, if a building has a flat roof, heavy masses of precipitation will accumulate on it during rain and snow. They can lead to the destruction of waterproofing, the accumulation of dirt and even a collapse of the roof. In addition, wind and rainwater can carry plant seeds onto the roof. Germinating, they will further increase the load on the roofing surface.

Flat roof drain - types, design features and materials of manufacture

The flat roof outlet is made of the following materials:

    Plastic funnels made of polyvinyl chloride.

    Metal coated with zinc. This is the most common material for making funnels. It is inexpensive and does its job well.

    Copper... This material is not popular due to the high cost of products.

Funnels are:

    Flat... These funnels are installed on flat roofs that they plan to use frequently. If the roof is covered with asphalt or tiles, flat funnels are mounted on a level with them.

    Bell-type... They have a protective filter mesh. This mesh prevents the drain from clogging. Its shape is a cap that rises above the level of the roof.

Source tofp.ru

The funnels can be either horizontal or vertical. The difference between them lies in the location of the drain hole in relation to the building façade. Funnels with horizontal outlet have a discharge pipeline that passes through a layer of insulation. Such funnels are not very convenient, because when performing technical work on replacing drainage pipes or funnels, it is required to open a significant section of the roof. If a horizontal line is laid above the freezing line, then ice jams may form in the pipes. Ice plugs in pipes are fraught with leaks and water stagnation. The horizontal system is used on roofs that do not have an attic. On conventional flat roofs, funnels with a vertical outlet are used.

A heating cable can be connected to the funnel. Thanks to this, the snow around will be melted.

You can find funnels of combined structures.

The structure of the drainage funnel

A typical funnel consists of:

    pressure ring which adheres tightly to the roof and ensures tightness;

    lattices preventing objects from entering the drainage system;

    horizontal or vertical branch pipe;

    water intake transmitting streams of water into pipes;

    oil seals reinforcing the places where the branch pipe is connected to the pipe;

    fixing flanges;

    cover over the product.

Flat roof drain - types and methods of installation

Installation is divided by type of installation:

    Outdoor structures, which are mounted around the perimeter of the house.

    Internal, which are laid during construction inside the walls and go down the drain. The tightness of such systems cannot be neglected. The result of poor-quality work will be a rapid course of corrosion processes.

In the case of a flat roof, installing a roof outlet is the preferred solution. Horizontal pipes are laid under waterproofing and insulation.

Drainage systems can be:

    gravity, that is, with a slope: water flows down under the influence of gravity;

    vacuum that do not have a slope: they work according to the principle cistern, for which they received the second name - "siphon".

Flat roof gutters: installation and heating

The funnels are installed in such a way as to ensure that the water flows into the drain under the influence of gravity. They should be located in the lowest areas of the roof. To ensure the drainage of water, a roof slope of 2% is sufficient. If there is no such slope, then it is created artificially - for the entire roof as a whole, or the so-called "slope" is made - with the help of expanded clay, insulation slabs or concrete.

Source beton-stroyka.ru

The roof surface is split into equal areas of regular geometric shapes. The lower part of the product is mounted in the base of the roof in order to connect the funnel to the downpipe. After the waterproofing and insulation have been installed, the lower and upper parts of the funnel are connected with an O-ring. Between the layers of roofing material, there should be a plastic apron for the funnel. Secure it with an additional bitumen apron. From above, all these layers are covered with mastic or again with bitumen. A protective grill is installed.

They check the quality of the work performed by throwing out a bucket of water at a distance of 2 meters from the funnel.

Calculation of roof outlets on a flat roof

At least 2 roof outlets should be installed on the roof of the house in order to provide the necessary protection in case of unforeseen situations such as severe weather or blockages in pipes. There should be one funnel for every 150 or 200 square meters roofs. The funnels are installed at a distance of 25 meters from each other if the length of the house itself exceeds 25 meters. The minimum distance from funnel to funnel is 50 centimeters. The funnel must not be installed closer than 1 meter to the edge of the roof.

If the building is divided into sections, each of them must be equipped with its own storm drain on the roof.

Principles for the selection and installation of a roof drain

When installing flat roof outlets, there are a few things to keep in mind. simple rules... Without their observance, the efficiency of drainage structures will drop sharply:

    On the roof of a metal profile or fold, install metal funnels.

    For roofs made of bitumen or on polymer coatings, choose polymer funnels.

    The connection of the funnel to the roof must be completely sealed... For this, an additional waterproofing layer can be glued by extending it directly on the sides of the funnel. If there are several layers of waterproofing on the roof, a funnel is installed between them.

    The funnel must have removable cover and protection from dirt so that the latter does not fall into the drain. In addition, the protection system will help to avoid clogging by leaves, branches, sand and other types of street debris.

    Necessary carry out heating to the funnels so that the water in them does not freeze.

Flat roof gutter: the specifics of the construction of the indoor and outdoor versions

The drain can be installed outside and inside the building. Each of these methods has its own characteristics. For example, the internal design does not affect appearance buildings, and the outer one is easier to install and repair.

Internal drain

In order to properly lay the internal drainage system, it must be designed in advance. The pipeline route should be as short as possible, and the connection to the storm sewer should be convenient and reliable.

Risers can be placed close to living rooms... In this case, you do not have to install heating on that section of the pipe that passes through the rooms. Wiring is done through grooves, boxes or mines. It will be necessary to insulate the gutter passing through the attic.

If the building is not heated, it will be necessary to solve the problem with heating the pipes in order to avoid freezing of the water that will flow through them. This is usually done with a heating cable. It is necessary to provide the riser with a cleaning revision at a height of one meter from the ground.

On our website you can find contacts of construction companies that offer services roof design and repair... You can communicate directly with representatives by visiting the Low-Rise Country exhibition of houses.

Pipes located inside the building are not subject to such drastic changes in temperature as systems built outside. Also, the exterior of the building is not overloaded with additional excesses in the form of an external drainage system. This gives the house a neat look and makes it easy to decorate the exterior. However, clear internal system much more difficult.

From the funnels to the risers, water goes through special branch pipes. Branch lines are laid underground or built a suspended network right in the house. In order for water to pass through horizontally laid pipes in the overhead network, they are installed with a slope of 5 millimeters for each running meter. If a grid cannot be installed, branch lines can be laid underground and connected to the storm drain. This is more expensive, and it will be less convenient to carry out repairs later.

External drainage

The external drain is suitable for southern regions where there is little rainfall - no more than 300 millimeters per year. An open drainage system is easier to clean and repair if damaged by bad weather.

The construction of an external drain has many specific features. To avoid damage and corrosion outer walls buildings with a flat roof, you need to erect barrage boards. The coverings of these sides must be metal or concrete.

Special holes are made in the sides to lead out the shower drains. A galvanized apron must be applied to the joints of the covering of the sides. This will prevent water from penetrating the gaps between the joints.

Gutters extend outside the house and roof. In contrast, for internal drainage, funnels are placed on the roof itself, at a distance from the edges.

Indoor drain funnels for flat roofs:

The drainage system, which is located outside, can be:

    Unorganized... This option is suitable for dry areas. Water is discharged through eaves on the eaves.

    Organized... In this case, the sediments are collected in an external funnel with guiding sides. Also, water can go into the gutter, from which the liquid is drained into the storm sewer or directly into the ground.

In some cases, filtering equipment is installed in the drainage system, which makes it possible to obtain industrial water which can be used, for example, to operate toilets.

Conclusion

The abundant range of roof outlets and the technical details can be tricky at first. To make the right decision, define your priorities and goals for the gutter system and funnels. The choice will narrow down significantly when it becomes clear what specific results you want to achieve at the end of the work. If during the winter a lot of snow falls on the roof, it is clear that it will be necessary to install a heating system for icing requirements. If the gutters extending beyond the walls do not fit into the design of the building, it is clear that the gutter will be preferable to hide.

To calculate and install a drainage system, the best option would be to contact a specialist. Building codes contain a lot of nuances that, in any case, will need to be taken into account for safety reasons. Professionals will help you calculate an estimate based on your needs, and will complete all the work quickly and with a guarantee.

Roof drains are the most important element of drainage systems when organizing roofs different types and purpose. Their main task is to receive rainwater and excess moisture from the surface with subsequent transfer to the downpipe. Different models used in conjunction with steel, cast iron or plastic pipes easily connecting with any of them.

The simplest design of a roof outlet assumes a wide rim, a glass and a hood. Among the basic requirements is a removable cover for easy operation. The hood must fit firmly into place. Special filters and leaf traps prevent debris from entering and clogging. The connection of roof outlets with an insulating coating must be reliable and airtight for which special parts are used. In another case, the waterproofing is placed on board the funnel.

Types of roof outlets:

Roof drains are classified by construction. There are direct-flow systems and elements with a horizontal outlet. The first are combined with vertically oriented gutters. The latter are used at facilities where the installation of a vertical riser is impossible. The effectiveness of both varieties is practically the same.

The performance of roof outlets depends on their diameter and throughput. The model is selected taking into account the serviced area. Used for manufacturing different materials... Often this is a metal or special polymers, characterized by strength, wear resistance and unpretentiousness. The materials for the gutters are selected taking into account the materials for the roof. Among the variety, Termoclip flat roof outlets have proven themselves well.

Using roof outlets:

Before starting the installation of roof outlets, the surface is divided into sections for calculation the required amount and location. The drainage system must be as efficient as possible. When fixing, it is recommended to leave room for the receiver to move.

When working with multilayer insulation, funnels are installed between the layers. Single layer systems use a piece of similar material. For some joints, aprons and other accessories, welding technology is used. Additionally, mechanical fasteners can be used, including screws and dowels.
